Blizzard: Clearly these must be bots. Also Blizzard: **ignores hundreds of characters all walking in the same path no diviation to stockades with the same gear**
because I dont think its botting here but acting like aholes farming a spot over and over again not letting people do quests. There is a quest to get stones in WPL if I recall so yeah they killing these adds might be consider cheating because it is not letting others finish the quest.
@@hado33_ probably but new actimicroblizzard is like that. should not be bannable yet they will enforce that. I gotten banned for telling a multiboxer that multiboxing is not legal anymore and got banned for harrasment once so yeah been on the mass report end of the stick but what you gonna do? you are just a player and they have all the cards you dont like it there are other mmos out there sux yes is it shitty oh hell yeah. but what you gonna do you are nothing and no one. unless someone like asmongold gets banned for doing this blizzard wont do shit.
@@tonygalvan2279 I could maybe understand your take if the message for why they were banned didn't quite literally say "unauthorized cheat programs aka hacks or bots". There is no world where that message means "you didn't give other players a chance".
@@undergroundsubway7023 ok so they will create a 1000 more account for the one you just banned, and set an example on you thinking it will make a diff. I have no solution to offer, blizz won't cut out that sweet honey cash money they get from those accounts no matter how much we cry bout it, just enjoy the game as much as possible while dodging those bullets.
Back in time , if tou got banned or even suspended tou could call customer service and they would explain you what infraction "you insulted some one in chat at this date" or "you exploited that bug" Now , it is so opaque and hermetic with those automated responses...
@@no0bbbb I suspect it was more than making a statement once. There was probably more to it than you are saying... I've never known a Trumpie on a server who didn't have other infractions besides exercising speech unless they spammed it for hours and hours in Yell Mode or something. Quite frankly dragging real world politics into the game is a childish thing to do. Leave that crap at the door and play the game. No more need to hear about that then arguments over what Football team you support or lyrics to some gangsta rap song repeated over and over again in General.
Just went through this, my girlfriend was banned for the same thing. A long farming session on a specific mob with some competition around, an actual bot farming beside her likely botted her with mass reports. We made appeals and got the same responses as your guildies. Best piece of advice i was given that actually worked and worked FAST, was involve the better business bureau. The ban started Sunday morning, we got the same no overturn response 3 hours after appeal, so we reported to the BBB sunday night. Blizzard responded VERY differently and quickly to the BBB rep which ended in her being unbanned monday night.
hey man, my account got banned for one week for mass reports from bots in SOD and Cataclysm classic. i have the same problem and my last ticked closed by automatic system and just got bot answers. i'm trying for new ticket now but i read ur comment you said "we reported to the BBB". can u tell me what is "BBB" and help me to get my account unban please?
Blizzard is the problem here. But as long as you people keep paying them it won't stop as they look at their customers as pure numbers. They have shown it time and time again like comon people!
Voting with your wallet doesn't work either. That is a myth created by the owner class to misdirect people and help perpetuate the status quo. The only solution is raising consciousness and solidarity within the community.
I think it was playing for 18 hours straight. i was perma banned on HC servers for the botting/hacking and i was playing for 18ish hours a day. I appealed the ban and thankfully got my account back. Sucks to see this happen to other people.
Meanwhile blizzard implemented 30 days restriction for new accounts. The restriction blocks you from trading, using AH and mailing. But they forgot something, they forgot about C.O.D and the botters are using it to extract the gold from their bots while the new honest players are the one suffering from this restriction.Sure the botters are restricted from using the AH but they don't need it anyway, all those mage/hunter bots are headed straight for the dungeons to farm raw gold.
it happened on me too , 4 days a go in WotLK im trying to prepare some gold for Cata by spamming karazhan and suddenly i got banned i clearly sitting in my pc, and wasting my free time at this game and get banned after because blizz system thinking i am botting and i keep getting the same reply from blizz whenever i try to appeal my ban status
Exact same thing happened to me about 2 weeks ago as well, I received the exact same ban email message word for word as well as the ticket responses. No GM ever signed the tickets either which literally proves it is automated as any ticket I opened for payment in the past always started by greeting me as well as closing with the GM's name. I also believe I was mass reported. It's just amazing to me that players can at any time just get me permanently banned for no reason. I'm scared that I might be HWID banned so I am not even going to risk logging into any of my other accounts either so I basically can't even play the game anymore unless I get unbanned or buy a new pc. No way I'm risking my other accounts. I have no idea what to do anymore as all of my tickets have been closed after multiple days of being opened and being responded to by a bot. Happened in cataclysm era btw.
I got my bank alt on another account perma banned 5 days into SOD for buying out items that sold below vendor price with TSM. Reason was for using "hacks".My first 3 appeals was automated, but I kept asking for an actual human response. After about a month, i managed to talk to one and he reduced the perma ban to 4 months suspension instead. It's so silly.
Hey, I have no clue about wow and how the adminds work but I can tell you we also had a 7day ban for someone on Wild-Growth who was just selling enchants in the trade chat. It was the last week of phase2.
Got auto-banned in P1 for spam boosting RFC, 5years old subscription permanently closed - made like 10 tickets but received only automated copy-paste replies
Whats baffeling is, that they can simply take away something that you payed for. We pay gametime in ADVANCED and I had friends in classic that got caught into the wrongfully bans and had to wait weeks before it was lifted. They never got their money or gametime back. I don't understand how this is even legal. You offer a service, take the money, choose to not offer the service anymore, keep the money and all on the basis of an automatic system that has proofen to be flawed, abused and no further confirmation by a human. It's insane that people have to go out of their way to defend themself against non existing accusations. But not even that, they don't even get the benifit of a fair trial, despite having payed for the gametime in the first place. As customer, this is just a lose lose situation. I had my trouble with customer support in the past, there is nothing left from the times when GMs still had a little chat at 3 AM in the morning, while taking care of your problems and you just had a pleasant time, despite the trouble you called the GM in the first place.
I just got hit with this exact situation. Have these people found any resolution?? This is crazy! Literal years put into my account banned outright for absolutely no reason. I am crushed.
I got banned for cheats/hacks. The only reason i can think of is because i played for 2 days straight. It got overturned to a six month suspension. I humbly accepted it, sucked it up, and started all over. Fresh install, reinstalled add-ons, on my best behavior. Exactly one month later at the exact same time, in the exact same place, my new account got banned as well. I have no idea what to do and I'm sure I'll get flamed for being a cheater. In all honestly though I have no idea why. It would seem i just can't play anymore, because I'm not going to invest my hard work and determination into building something that just gets erased for reasons unknown and beyond my control. Feels bad man.
Just so you know, in case no one else has told you, this has happened to hundreds of players. It's either mass reporting or Blizzard has some kind of metric that is bugged in their "automated detection" - We're all gathered on discord, the TSM (Tradeskillmaster) discord, in the Season of discovery channel under "Sanctions in Season of Discovery" - Even though the bans are in all versions of the game. We've been fighting for an unban for over 6 months now, no luck. The best we achieved was a reduction from permaban to 6 month ban. But that's still not acceptable when you haven't cheated. I ended up sending over 40 appeals, I messaged and tagged the developers 100 times on Twitter, I did everything. Ended up just deleting my account. I'm not ever buying a blizzard game again.
Imagine paying 15 a month for years, being the consumer type that has kept this game going for twenty years... Getting banned for bs, then going right back to paying Blizzard for their shitty practices... Everyone should band together and cancel their subs for a few months. Everyone cancel... Maybe they fix their shit, maybe not. Either way their wallet will feel it.
Even by just behaving anything out of the ordinary you can get banned, my hunter on a second account that I used to duo farm with my mage in phase 2 got banned, although I'll admit he looked like a bot because I couldn't bother to raid on a 4th character, I believed I was safe because I thought, "no way Blizzard doesn't monitor whatever malicious software is running along with the game, so if I'm not using any of that, no reason to fear getting banned, right?". And I did get banned, and after thinking, "oh shoot, well, false positives happen, I'll certainly get unbanned after I appeal and they see that on whatever logs they have on their end that I used no bots." Automated response, appeal rejected. Just by people reporting you, you can get banned, FOR ANYTHING.
Players being banned by an automated system simply because other players reported them is unacceptable. Blizzard clearly has very few GMs left, if any, and this is definitely done as a cost saving measure. They need REAL people looking at these reports before handing someone a permanent ban. Luckily, one of the two players mentioned in this video were unbanned after someone at Blizzard took a look into it.
Same exact thing happened to me in the same time frame. Same response too. Eventually an actual gm follpwed up but now im waiting on them. I have 18 yeara worth pf content on that account and i did nothing
This happened to me too. Same exact emails from Blizzard with the same exact responses to my appeals. My final response was just a plea to talk to a human because I know a human could EASILY investigate the situation and realize I'm not a bot. Luckily it was on my secondary account where the only character I cared about was a 25 warlock.
I can't know if they botted or exploited or not, but that GM team reply is as bullshit as they come. If you are banned for something, then that something needs to be explicitly mentioned in the ruling, not brushed under some vague 'broke the rules' weasel excuse. If you can't specify what it was exactly, then there's no case to ban them, it's that simple.
If these super sus bans get overturned, the next step is to focus in hard on all the players from that competing group to see if they continue to play. I do not have any faith Blizz will spend any additional time to punish people blatantly abusing their own systems, and that HAS to change.
It's funny, the first ~15 years of the game I got banned one time for 3 hours. Since Blizzard switched to automated I have been banned 5 or 6 times. Admittedly a couple were fair enough, but the others were BS mass reports.
That’s absurd and should be overturned immediately with an apology. Do your due diligence Blizzard! Need to stop treating your customers like they don’t matter, else your customer will decide YOU don’t matter!
It's pathetic what a petty world we live in. They pay for the game like everyone else does, they should be able to play as long or as much as they want to without anyone giving them crap. And with the money that Blizzard has coming in they can afford to put a damn person or team over appeals and in game reporting. Blizzard makes all these changes and bans things like GDKPs but they aren't making changes in areas that really matter. At least that is my feeling as a WoW Classic SoD player.
I don't necessarily think it's "100%" that it's a result of a mass report, but I do think these appeals being responded by automated templates is really garbage. Humans really need to sanity check these, especially in circumstances where they have contradicting evidence.
Back when hardcore servers came out I got banned for the same thing "hacks", I know everyone says they never did anything even if they did but normal players like me dont get an real appeal, they will just go with what stands... Then one streamer, wont say hes name here, we know who I am talking about, get unnanned because he had a real person acually look into hes case and saw it was wrong. I have played since vanilla and I have lost everything on my account for doing nothing more then to play the game.
Exactly what I thought lmao. They probably started another acco8nt immediately. Not realizing this probably the best thing can happen for their life lol
To be fair. If the banned people used the reset instance lockout bug abuse in Maraudon. They deserve to be banned. It could very likely be that instead. A lot of people did that. And its knowingly abusing a bug to get an advantage in the game. The blizzard system might detect this as hacking. I don’t know.
I was mass reported in sod phase 2 by bots for saying to report a gold seller in trade chat who was advertising/spamming. I got mass reported within 5 minutes after saying to report the gold seller in trade chat. I got silenced for a week with the automated system. And I now have to put my blizz account on appear offline forever because when I put it back online I start to get mass reported again and receive a blizz warning in game for foul language.
I heard about this problem years ago, so its still available. Also, did you seen the "Blizzard" Text in the upper-middle of the page? The two Z-z is not simmetric = Garbage, so their automated message and automated banning system also got a bit designer problem. There are things that okay to be assimetric, but its not. The reason why a lot of world of warcraft player are upset, is, they fear that they got banned, even if they not, then their enemies got "Admin" kind weapon against them. Blizzard just nerfing things, blizzard just, Bli$$ard. I really don't like Blizzard. About their devs, it feels like a few of them are really unexperienced. "Ohoaohoho" This is the sound plays in my mind, when i look at Blizzard's world of warcraft. And they probably so suprised, why World of warcraft private servers getting people, their fans also protect blizzard and they say: "IF YOU GOT BANNED YOU SURELY CHEATED" This kind of behaviour is, Fanatics, which is the worst behaviour, good luck for them in the future, without their personality, since, who got its personality washed out = It will never come back. Let blizzard discover seasons, let blizzard Shadow of the don't know, let Blizzard anything, who cares about blizzard? They are just in the same level as bigpoint, destroying their own game, then being suprised, THATS, what they got. Lets hope, that the number of computer controlled player entities will increase 50 times in blizzard servers, so they finally notice that players becaming admins with the privilige of mass report.
I was temporarily suspended from Era for "Abusive Text Chat", and the most foul word in the example I was sent by blizz was the word "Dickbag" Appealed and got the very same automated response, blizzard doesn't even look at appeals.
I got banned for getting into a bid war with what I assume are auction bots back in phase 1. Either that or I got reported by someone I was bidding against. Used the Auctioneer addon and was refreshing and bidding manually, not using any automated bots (obviously). I got the exact same account closure email and my appeal was met with an automated message saying they will not overturn the ban.
All these people getting banned need to move on from wow and blizzard. I hadn’t touched my old battlenet account since 2019, and couldnt get back into it to buy Diablo 4. Had to contact support and got automated responses and no help. I gave up and didnt bother buying diablo 4. Now 6 months later im getting emails from real people at support telling me my password is reset and i can log back in and asking me to come back to battlenet. If enough people stop using blizzard services after being life long consumers of their games, then maybe they start sorting their dysfunction out. Sadly these 18 hour types will just go start a new account and pay for new subs.
imagine being permabanned for hacking by abusing an oversight that wasn't addressed or actioned for over 24 hours, how are players supposed to retroactively know what not to do?
I got reported by a lot of people that didn’t like seeing people multiboxing and blizzard banned my accounts. I was in control of all my my accounts and when I appealed and told them all the addons I was using like dynamic boxer and ema which is all addons to help watch your group and in no way controls other toons, they said they couldn’t provide anymore information on my suspension. It feels wrong, when you are using your money to play a game and they use a mass report system as law instead of figuring it out for themselves, to me that is stealing your money. “If you’ve done nothing wrong”. I legit feel I didn’t do anything wrong and even asked what it was that could have warranted the suspension and wasn’t given an answer, I felt robbed of my time and money. 6 month suspension for what I see as doing nothing wrong.
Peoples terminology is really weird. They use "ban" for suspensions and "suspended" when banned. It's not accidental either. One of those things that grinds my gears. Anyways. I've been mass reported and suspended a lot of times for being afk in battlegrounds when I never did. Nothing new. Sad to say it took this long, but I'm now proud to say I quit WoW cold turkey because of the lack of human interaction with tickets and appeals. Blizzard does not care about it's consumers, or care enough to make their game better. It's rehashed total garbage we've all done thousands of times before.
What if the ban was for an unrelated issue unique to the three. Mistaken with the farm, being the culprit, which would of resulted in all of them banned en mass. There's an addon I saw on Sarthe's channel. Mass automation of the incursion process that's being used by some in the community.
The problem with Blizzard is that complaints and issues never get the light of day until big name creators start talking about it and content creators will never get suspended or banned so they will never talk about how disgusting bad blizzard support is
In phase 1 of sod i got perma banned for the same reason, i was playing for long hours for 3 days, i tried to appeal but all i received was the same thing mentioned here, i gave up and i quit wow for good, after couple months my ban was changed to a suspension and i'll get it back this month i didn't even got a notice i was just checking my account out curiosity , but at this point i lost interest in the game...
@@Orcast Yeah dec 4 - dec 5 banwave. HOTS is the same, came back to play after years of not playing first day played didnt say anything to anyone & I got perma banned .. and I put a ticket and they said they wouldn't overturn it .. all that money put in to get banned and not be able to fight it..
I just got suspended because i have been reported for inappropriate language out of the blue! I only warned people for an enchanter that took my mats didn't enchant me then he mailed my mats charging me 10 gold for my own mats! It's basically what my warning macro was about. None of his guild mates wanted to tell me the name of his guild master so I assume they are the ones that black mailed me! And yes Blizzard is using AI for those issues for sure! What a mess! And all the appeals are rejected because they go to the AI as well!
if you have a problem with mass report you should play something else or nothing because they will never change it. they don't have enough employees and the actual problem are the toxic community reporting the own playerbase because they are no life sweating the shit out of the most casual blizzard game ive ever seen. ITS JUST HILARIOUS TO SEE LMAO IDC.
1. I agree you should go outside, not play wow for 18 hours straight 2. this automated system is bullshit and I feel bad for these guys 3. It upsets me that you have to try to "gain attention" when something like this happens. Not all of us have popular streamer friends Love the video Mr. Safe
I don’t think this is the result of a mass report. Other people in SoD servers are having issues getting suspended for interacting with someone who is using macros or addons to spam trade chat
this happen to my buddie at the start of sod doing something that ahmpy was doing a stream himself and did not get banned for but my buddie got banned for and it was unjust.
I got a warlock summon once from what I think was a summoning bot. Because of the layer issues, when I was summoned I was unable to see and pay for the summoning service. 2g. So after waiting for about 3 mins I dropped the group. 10 mins later I was banned for 14 days for “misconduct”. Think I was mass reported from the bot. Fix your layering issues blizzard!
had the same happen for auction house degen gameplay, 44 tickets later they permad my whole 2004 bnet acc with every license under the sun on it, for not ceasing appeals. blizz doing great in the year of our lord.
The only solution is that we need a big Wow streamer who encourage players to report everyone and get everyone banned everywhere in Wow, then Blizzard going to remove this system. This system is bad, because its makes you a slave, for example if someone don't want you because don't like you, they simply purchase a few alt account then ban you out. Or bots. Its really hard to imagine that this "Ban system" still works like the same.
i need more than 2 hands to count how many times ive been false reported just for rekking people with knowledge and skill of the game. somehow, thats abusive.
UPDATE: One of my 3 guildies has been unsuspended after tweeting Blizzard's customer service account with information regarding the suspension. For those of you experiencing a similar type of suspension, maybe this is something to look into - GOODLUCK! EDIT: Tag me (@Staysafewarlock) in your post and maybe I can give you a boost!
That response email looks like a bot response email too. I would keep appealing, personally. Also, since we know this is how shit is, farming for 18 hours straight probably isn't the way to go. Sucks that happened regardless and hope you get overturned.
ban for life they should discover stuff not min-maxing vanilla old stuff. Hope this becomes a lesson to all whom think they are smart and waste hours upon hours on something pointless.
its all automated. on top of this, it'll take multiple sent tickets to get a response. i got banned for a name for 9 days. took 5 tickets to get a none automated response. one of the ticket responses was even in another language. they just dont care. its sad. cant believe we actually pay money for this?
I almost think they should just remove the report player option all together. It's abused more than used. And let's be honest... we've all probably been toxic towards other wow players at some point in time. It's sort of internet culture and I don't think we should be losing our accounts we've dumped hours and hours into just because we got reported one too many times. I honestly don't give a shit about bots either. Let them stock the AH with mats. Good. Now I don't have to farm for everything other than gold and gear which is bad enough. Lol Wild take I know.
We need to just stop paying for this trash. See many say speak with your wallets and yet the same people still subbed. Practice what you preach. Blizzard needs to learn a VERY harsh lesson and soon.
