for all of you who's having some error on the expression, make sure the "s" when you first typed it the "s=" should be in low case. Also make sure in the position expression, is as the same name as the text layer.
Thank you! This Tutorial was exactly what I was looking for! Especially the part on how to center align everything and make it move out was what I needed.
Hey Josh! Love your tutorials. I came to learn how to created titles with boxes but honestly - I liked the little text animations you have throughout the video way better! For example - at 00:34 and then again at 00:43. What are those called?? They're not titles, they're not lower thirds, they're not "call outs"... I'd love to find a pack of text animations like those but I don't even know what they're called. Do you have any tutorials on how to create those? Or any pre-made templates I could buy? Preferably a pack of those...
Anyone knows the opposite? : How can you have your Rectangle in a fixed size + and be able to write however long title you want- So the font size will adjust to always fit inside that Rectangle?
When I slide the shape layer (or both) in the timeline, the shape layer fails to follow the timing of the text animator. The shape layer expanding just happens at the original time, no matter where I slide the layers, so it doesn't coincide with the text layer expanding. Can't figure out why. Anyone know?
When I use the tracking amount animator it spaces out the text letter. It does not move the whole object over. Anyone have an idea of what this is about?
I know the video is quite old, and you might not respond, but the expression works perfectly for scaling an animator. However, it doesn't seem to work with opacity. What would be the workaround for that?
use this method too - select text > effects > matte > simple chocker and then effects > channel > minimax - then in effects and controls (F3) change chanel to ALpha and increase radius then Effects > color corrections > tint (make sure text should be white and matte should be black before adding tint) Enjoy!
I can't figure out the tracking part..when I add tracking it moving it only changes like where the box starts from it doesn't move it like in your video? The project files are missing too so I could not check it there. When I change tracking is just changes where the text comes up from..it doesn't move like in your video.
Yeah Tracking doesn't seem to do the same thing for me either. I tried to play with position to give a similar effect it's not quite the same but better than without. If you figured it out please let me know :)
@@KWandles When I changed the text to center align it seemed to work right..but I don't know if that was the actual solution..seems like it might have something to do with layers selected or something..I could never figure out exactly. Try centering the text though and see if that works.
how do you make the background follow the animation of a logo? And if rendered in a transparent form, the background also follows the shape of the animated logo
I get this, up until the part of animating the text. When I adjust the scale, it makes all the letters smaller and keeping the width of the box the same... how do I get it to scale in per letter causing the box to expand?
@@BLUESCREAMPRODUCTIONS you need to Add a scale property and animate the End feature in the Offset category. Confusing as all hell, but with practice you get the hang.
SonduckFilm Dear sir could you please tell me if it's possible to get a black background with 50% transparency but with a white font of opacity 100%. Your method is perfect and simple but i can't figure it out with the effects that you used. Please if anyone can help, i would appreciate it
This doesn't work for lower thirds with different names. The text starts appearing outside of the box if the name is smaller. The text isn't even center aligned when you type a new name. It's all over the place...
@@WalkAway273 I think the problem was I used scale instead of size or vice versa, can't remember but check if youre picking exactly what the tutorial shows
