This new superhub in Tokyo is a state-of-the-art, automated logistics facility developed by Sagawa Global, one of Japan's largest delivery companies. Using A.I. and an army of robots, stock management is handled completely by machines. Organizing the space in the storerooms, transporting items between buildings and even delivering products, directly to the staff working at the dispatch station.
We went to take a tour of the facility to see how these robots operate autonomously and learn about the latest warehouse management in Japan!

The Boots Warehouse here have similar robots, not as sophisticated though. I was most impressed with the Sagawa packing machine. That is awesome!!

The place featured kinda reminds me of Amazon's warehouses.

It does serve as a fullfilment center for a lot of e-commerce businesses, so while I've never been inside and Amazon warehouse, I'd imagine they look fairly similar. - Julian

Videos about similar robots in warehouses located in the UK already existed in 2015. Safe to assume that the new generations of similar designs are spread worldwide nowdays.

My first question to the guy would be: “So, how many people lost their jobs by being replaced in the warehouse?”

Well this is a brand new facility, so actually 0 people were replaced. The robots were there from the start. - Julian

Another question is "How many people previously 'overqualified' now have maintenance jobs in warehouses like these?" (or are not acounted in the staff because the company call third-party repair companies) Remember that everything have a trade-off and coins are not one-sided.

@@renookami4651 To answer the first part of the question, if the person is overqualified, I’m 99% sure the company didn’t hire them. And that is a mindset I will never understand.
