Good morning my silver shadow 2 sometimes takes a long time to start, maybe my auto choke needs to be adjusted more, but how do I adjust it, is there any one has a video on how to adjust auto chokes on silver shadow 2 ? 🙏

Hi, there isn’t much adjustment on the choke. Before you start the car, you should press the throttle pedal all the way down, this sets the choke. It should make the choke flap shut and the throttle linkage set to fast idle. You can take the air intake hose off from the choke housing, in order to see the position of the flap. Someone told me Webber carburettor fitted to Rolls Royce silver shadow 2 if that was correct can you advise me where I can fit one to my Rolls Royce I have silver shadow 2 1980

Hi, we are not aware of any modification to fit Webbers to a Shadow. Is there something wrong with your carburettor?

Is it true that the auto transmissions on Rolls-Royces and Bentleys from the 1998s and 1990s do not last near as long as there engines will, as this is what owners have told me, which is why my check gear box warning light is coming on,

Both engines and gearbox can last very well as long as you keep up regular maintenance. The check gearbox light could be to an electrical fault and the best thing to do is to get a diagnostic check to explore the cause of the fault
