It's about time I uploaded a new machine, so after over a month of work, I finally present The Coin Flipping Machine!
Why this came out late:
This is my 19th machine in the series, and as you can probably tell from the late upload, not everything went so perfectly during the process of making this. For starters, this is the biggest machine I've ever built, and due to the insane number of steps, this machine takes forever to reset, and it requires an extreme amount of takes to actually make it to the end. The reason this is coming out now instead of on the 31st is simply because I couldn't get it to work by then. I had a week long vacation in a different country that lasted even longer due to delayed and cancelled flights, so I could only start filming again the day I got back, and it still took two days of filming after that. Even though this machine is uploaded in 2017, I still consider it to be a 2016 project, considering it was built and filmed then, but I just wasn't able to shoot the full take until now. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy!

What I think I love about your style is that you can not only create complex machines, you can also create them so that they interact in an aesthetically pleasing way, where we can still tell what's happening and what's causing it to happen - that's what I love about your style. Some of us, like me, Noah, and maybe Lyle have more compact machines that are harder to decipher, but your machines are more spread out, yet still complex and fun to watch, like those built by Lyle occasionally, Michael, Steve, Alex B., and Evan, as well as many others. It's an interesting mix between two styles I know and love, and I think you've mixed the best of both worlds! KEEP BUILDING MACHINES! Don't let the hobby die like some of us have :/

TheRGMGuy01 I completely agree with this comment. I'm really going to focus on maybe toning down the compactness just a bit for the Bet Losing machine in favor of understandability.

"That was incredible. I loved the part with the wrapping paper, and the unrolling minigolf track was one of my favorite things I have seen in a while. As always, you continue with the best of your style and you created something that successfully moves across the whole room. It was also really clean and I was able to see everything well, and it really shows how you progress and get better over time." - me "Nice Machine Joel" - Hevesh5, 2017.

Omg that machine is INSANE! I loved the fact that you also used the floor and your whole room for this machine and the different tricks were just amazing! Great job ;-)

Your style (especially multi-use tricks) are so unique!

This is probably your best machine yet. Not only were the tricks insane as always, but you managed to create them in such a way that they are relatively easy to understand the first time watching through. I still watched it in slow motion a few times, but that was only to REALLY understand what was going on. You have found the perfect balance between complexity, compactness, and understandability. I am really going to try to emulate this style when building the Bet Losing Machine. Not gonna lie, this machine made me want to start building that right away. If it was possible, this video made me even more excited for our inevitable in-person collaboration at some point. Our styles are very similar, and I think we could create something mind-blowing together. Anyway, I would try to pinpoint some of my favorite tricks, but really all that would do is discredit the awesomeness of all the tricks I don't choose. I loved every bit of it, from the parts that were supposed to be the highlights of the machine, to the parts that were meant to be simpler, connecting tricks. Keep up the amazing work, and I cannot wait to see what you do next. Really looking forward to 11I6.

That was INSANE!!! First of all, it was incredibly easy to follow, and it also traveled all across the room, which was epic! Those floor tricks were really clever! Impossible for me to pick a favorite trick, but the wiffle ball tilting board was really cool! That whole table with that and the rotating/falling clear box were crazy! Great job man 👍🏻

JOEL YOU ARE BEAUTIFULAND YOU MAKE BEAUTIFUL THINGS Those balls formed a track for the next ball! Amazing! All the neat track tricks are neat all the way to San Jose and you need to start a kickstarter for yourself so you can afford fingers so you will finally be albe to flip a coin normally. And that snowflake is doing a good job. Keep rockin baby

This is literally the best machine I ever saw from you Joel. It probably is the best machine I ever saw. I like that trick with the fur white balls that go and tilt the board and then the bigger ball rolls over them. Also I love the idea at the start with the ball that rolls over the other one and then that ball rolls over that one. Awesome machine Joel, as always :) :D

Great video with different camera angles. Impressive Contraption. Prominent use of balls. (I like that rolled paper that went back and forth.) Even left the link to the BGM in the description. (Thanks, bro!) You have my respect!

Daksdominos I lost count after about 7 so idk :P. It was enough to make my camera run out of storage twice, so I'm going to guess around 300+ fails

Jole iem speachles. I might as well give up on the best machine of the year already XD. Dude.... I mean.... Dude..... I'm totally in shock right now. What is so awesome about this machine is that I was able to see every detail and every trick because you didn't go too fast or too slow. As you know, you have a very quick paced style. This was PERFECT. I will be analyzing this like a theorist. Very well done. Dude. I can't even talk like... Ughggghhhhh ballocruorofdeticxerepus uggggghhhhh
