After three months of hard work, I proudly present to you the 27th machine in my chain reaction series and my best machine yet (and my first machine in a very long time with an actual goal). As The Eagle Project machine consisted of an estimated 100 steps, this machine contains a solid, legitimate counted out 203 steps!. This took two months to build and one month to test (with 108 failed attempts by my count). I tried some smaller machine tricks that I had been anxious to try for a while (I'm saving the big ones for Spicing it Up #2) and a clean, organized style with a steady-ish flow and I am very proud of the result! I also decided to show second angles to the tricks instead of screen linking the entire machine. In the final product, I did have to silence certain segments of the machine to hide unfavorable background noise, and unfortunately, the camera did go out of focus twice in two different spots, but I am still very proud of the final product. I ran out of many machine supplies and went through over five rolls of tape making this machine! I would like to dedicate this machine to the machine community, as this machine was truly inspired by my chain reaction peers! I was finally able to get my hands on a new camera (Canon EOS Powershot) and I hope that you enjoy the new quality, especially with the new lighting I got for Christmas. I must give a thank you to my good friend, TheInvention11, ( / theinvention11 ) for filming the cutscene at the beginning for me. I must also give credit to berlagawesome ( / berlagawesome ) for providing most of the inspiration for this video. Please like, comment, subscribe, and share! Let's get to at least one thousand views!

Enjoy the machine!

OKAY SO THAT FALLING TRACK AT THE BEGINNING? ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! I also never saw the expanding globe trick coming, and your implementations of the little kinetic machines were really cool too! I like how those were integrated seamlessly! The closing shoebox trick was really cool too, and the four way knex spinner was an interesting idea, I liked it!

THAT WAS AMAZING! I was blown away at how big this machine was, and I now see why it took you three months. I just never wanted it to end while I was watching. Gabe. Oh my lord. THAT WAS NUTS. I can finally understand what's happening because now you have this super awesome camera that can see almost every detail of your machines. This set of tricks was absolutely INSANE. You have managed to create tricks on a simple scale that have impressed complex-seeking builders like me to an extent that would have never been achievable by filming this with your iPad. Wow. This is going on my best of chain reactions playlist. Well done man.

cwdreactions I'm glad you liked it :D My favorites tricks was the spinning cup, the track that falls and slides into place, the one with the tilted board and the Knex spinner at 2:43, the hexagon ball drop and the trick where the direction changer flips the ball onto the track. :)

Hey Gabe, nice work! 200 steps is a huge accomplishment and barely anyone has ever pulled this off. For a machine of that size, everything is laid out really well- you distributed ideas nicely among the two main tables and all the smaller segments on the shelves, smaller tables and floor fit in perfectly. This is an amazing feat of dedication! I hope your surgery recovery is going well :D

WOW!!! The time you spent building this was well worth it. I have so many great things I want to say about this machine, and I'll probably forget about some of the things I was thinking, but I'll try to list everything here. Here we go. 1. While the complexity of your tricks hasn't necessarily increased, I would say the creativity and originality definitely have. The three tricks that stood out to me were the expanding ball thing on the shelf, the falling whisker thingy that turns into a track, and the two implementations of the kinetic toys. However, other multi-use elements seemed like they were mainly just tracks attached to K'nex structures that move or fall in some way. Personally, I think this is an area that you can improve in. The coolest chain reaction tricks to me involve some kind of movement or motion that is unique and original, or even surprising in some way. Many of the tricks in this machine were pretty generic, involving movements that aren't all that unique. While I was definitely impressed by the machine, the only moments where I was actually surprised were right at the beginning, with the falling track and expanding ball thing. In the future, it would be awesome to see some tricks that are unexpected. 2. The new camera looks great! I can finally see all the specific details of the machine in full quality, which was very nice. The audio still sounds strange, though. :( 3. I am SOOOOO happy that you designed this machine so that it could be filmed in one take. That seriously increased my enjoyment of this video so much, so thank you for that. I'm sure the temptation to screenlink it increased as the fails began to really pile up, but I bet you're so glad you powered through and continued to be dedicated to a single-shot machine. 4. I noticed that you have really become better at securing things and building your tricks in a clean and polished way. 108 fails is still a lot, but I can only imagine how many it would have been if things weren't secured properly, things weren't taped down, etc. A clean and "professional" machine style is a sign of a next-level machine builder, and it looks like you've reached that point with this machine. I can't think of any more things right now, but if I do, I'll leave another comment. Anyway, incredible machine! Definitely my favorite of yours!
@sirgabealot01
@sirgabealot01 7 лет назад
jackofallspades98 Thank you! I decided to stick to small simple tricks for this machine so I could conserve enough supplies to make it to 200 steps. I'll try to and I will add more surprising tricks in the future. This machine was really just a way for me to take the smaller berlagawesome-like ideas I've had for a while and give those a try. My main focus on this machine was a strong variety of small, impressive tricks in a massive, professionalized machine. I'm saving the really impressive tricks for SIU 2, because there is less of a supply constraint with screenlinks and I assure you that the Hot Wheels tracks will move in a much more interesting way than they did here. As for the music, I'm still stuck adding sound with the voice feature on my editor so I need to figure something out to fix that. Maybe I could have someone help me out with that? Idk. Anyway, I'm excited for the D+M awards tomorrow! I hope I'll be nominated for something. Hopefully Michael didn't give too many awards to himself this year, lol. (I'm joking. I know that you guys had professional judges this year to choose the awards and that Michael only gave himself like two or three awards last year). Also, I'm excited for the Bet Losing Machine! Also, it appears to me that I have no way of communicating with you now. Is your number no longer working? I'm glad you enjoyed the machine!

jackofallspades98 Also thank you for pointing out the falling track. No one had pointed that out yet and that was one of my favorite tricks. You have to admit, that was a clever way to move a track. Also the one where the track slides out and then flips to the left was inspired by you. Just thought you should know :) Besides the spinning track and the falling track and the flipping track, the other track tricks were really just filler tricks for gaps in the machine.
