Targets are perfectly fine to be left outside due to the fact that the plate and assembly are powder-coated. What you could do to make sure the plate stays rust free is to hit it with some spray paint before leaving the range.

I know it would be super niche but would you ever consider doing an animal steel target for something like this? Are harmonics really hard to nail down abnormal shapes for a steel target?
We used to sell animal shaped targets but we found them to not be as useful as a smaller target is better for accuracy training. Our ADAP and C-zone targets ring very loud while our old animal targets were not as loud. When it comes to the VTAR, we still sell the Gopher target as it is fun to shoot and rings loud.
Why don't you start making and selling popper targets for slingshot shooting, they have slingshot competitions all over the world, make them in 8 / 7 / 6 / 5 / and 4 centimeter sizes. If you decide to, get ahold of Nathan Masters from simple shot he would be a great asset, He is world known!
Quality targets, like these, don’t ricochet. Splatter follows a 360 degree circle with most being directed towards the ground, like all systems we produce. If you shoot it partially leaned back, bullets will still fragment as usual but will be somewhat directed upwards and away from shooters.
I personally have never shot steel before because I am a poor and cannot afford any steel targets. as far as I can tell, there is not one target manufacturer, that makes any steel target that a poor can afford, especially poppers or something reactive, and personally I sure cannot afford $29. for one 4" Target.. just sayen

@@devrinmg I understand what you’re trying to do. In all my years of training, I’ve never shot small silhouettes a foot off the ground. That’s my point!
