your explanation is outstanding . but when you add inductor and capacitor is on. pf become .58, why you not try to make near to unity.

What principle of circuit you used to calculate power factor? Because you only used CT and voltage in calculation.

I note in the circuit as in the website you detect the zero crossing for current and voltage . So , do you calculate the time difference between zero crossing of the two waves ( current and voltage) and change it into phase difference to know how much power factor ?
