Reminder: Make sure to use the right module/widget/block for your page builder. I describe Divi, Elementor, Gutenberg and the Classic Editor in different chapters in this video.
Thank you for the video. It's very helpful. Everything worked for me in Seedprod, except for the modestbranding command. RU-vid logo remains in the right bottom corner after the change.
Thanks for the feedback! This is a long shot, but you don’t happen to use the “color” attribute? That will disable the modest branding. From the YT dev documentation: “Note: Setting the color parameter to white will disable the modestbranding option”.
Thanks Andrew! The closest I can think of is if you embed the video and set the width to 100% in the embed code. Then insert it to a WordPress row that takes up 100% of the viewport width.
hi there, this was an excellent tutorial! Tack så mycket - jag skirver i engelska så att alla förstår. A question, could we change the color of the red status bar in the video as well - it looks so youtube..I would prefer it in white!
Good question! It seems like the only "out of the box" color options for the RU-vid player progress bar is red or white. You can change it to white by adding this string: ?color=white to the video URL, for example ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EDkABFzGTGg.htmlcolor=white in the snippet. You can read more about it here: developers.google.com/youtube/player_parameters#color
I'd like to autoplay a RU-vid video that I embed in my site on intersection in the viewport. I've found lots of support for HTML video but not for RU-vid specifically. Thoughts?
Good question James! There are some discussions on this subject on GitHub but it seems tricky. I'm afraid that I don't have a good answer up my sleeve.
thanks for your video , but I try to add the "?autoplay=1&mute=1" to the woocommerce product page's youtube video link , some product's video can work with autoplay and mute but some product vidoe just video just work as mute function , they can't autoplay it. do you know why ?
Hard to till without a link but here are some possible reasons: Time limit: AutoPlay will work for half an hour on a mobile network and for 4 hours on a Wi-Fi. Battery save mode: Autoplay is disabled in some browsers when battery save mode is enabled. Multiple videos: Multiple videos on the same page might not automatically play. Playlist overload: RU-vid AutoPlay might fail to work if there are too many videos in a playlist.
It sounds like there is some kind of conflict on your site. The default behavior if you paste a RU-vid embed code in the html block is to display the video. See: gogutenberg.com/blocks/custom-html/
Hi Saf! The RU-vid embed works independent of theme or CMS. I haven’t tried Flatsome but see if you can find a way to paste clean html code and it should work.
*Does this work in stock WP or does it require the Divi theme?* I sure hope it's not the latter. Do you like it when a tutorial that turns up in search has absolutely no indication whatsoever in the title or the thumbnail that it requires a paid add-on or an upgrade? Do you like realizing that you have wasted your precious time only after sitting through a preroll ad and partway into the video? No? Me neither.
Hi Arthur! This works independently of theme or CMS. You can even use it in Squarespace or a clean html file if you want. And yes, I would of course mention if it would require a paid service. Chill out please.
@@DiviMundo Just to add on to the appropriate comment by Sector. I'm not going to sit through your entire video either. I tried using and it just gave me text. Is it a paid feature or not because you barely answered it in this post either. Tutorials like this do my nut in.
@@joetri10 No, it’s a free feature provided by the official RU-vid documentation. I’m sorry that you are not happy, send me an email and you’ll get your zero dollar back, no questions asked.
@@joetri10As declared in the intro, I do show how to do it with Elementor, Gutenberg and Classic editor. What’s up with the attention span? And you should not use tags, that will actually print the code as text. Where did you get that idea? I can’t see it in my tutorial.
You can find the RU-vid support center here: support.google.com/youtube/ I'm not affiliated with Google or RU-vid, I'm just a user and content creator.
