It's a busy time of year here at Koi Wholesale as we prepare for the 2021 Autumn Harvest. In this video, Koi Wholesale Managing Director, Ricky Stoddart, gets hands-on with a selection of Gosanke and Goshiki Koi from one of his favourite breeders - Taniguchi Koi Farm.
These Koi were shipped from Japan, into Koi Wholesale on 9 April 2021, and since then have progressed through a number of previous selection processes to get to this point. During this selection Ricky identifies which Koi will be kept to grow on further at Koi Wholesale, and which will be sold to Koi dealers across the UK, and then onwards to Koi hobbyists. He explains the quality of the Koi - from the bone structure, skin quality, and pattern, right through to the potential future development of the fish.
