AUTUMN IS HERE VLOG | James and Carys Carys’ Instagram- / busybee.carys James’ Instagram- / jameswhittakerr Business- JamesandCarys@a3artistsagency.com
Don't apologise, its you!!!! And we love you just how you are! 😊 Plus Autumn is the best time of the year!!! 🧡🍂🍁 Amber's pumpkin outfit and the knitted jumper is soooo adorable!!!!!
“How are your Christmas lights even gonna shine if there’s no darkness” this is the kind of positive mindset I’ll be having for the rest of the winters of my life. Whenever I’m depressed that it’s dark, I’ll say “it’s so the Christmas lights can shine for longer!” 😂😂😂😂❤️
Paused at the moment where you went back into the car to go out to homesense ALONE! As a long term watcher seeing you have the confidence to just hop in the car and go enjoy a browse is amazing.. mum confidence is real!
About the broken glass. It’s actually purposely made so it breaks into million small pieces because it’s safer that way. Big pieces are more likely to hurt someone badly if you were to step on it or something. Although it’s more annoying to clean up the glasses that shatter into small pieces are way safer.
Surely having bigger pieces to see is safer than small shards - I work in a restaurant n the amount of times the glasses have smashed into little pieces n I’ve cut myself trying to clean it up!! So annoying 🤣🤣🤣
It’s amazing how much you’ve grown as a person before amber in your old videos you used to be so anxious to go out with other people and by yourself always stuck with James and now it’s so amazing to see you blossom into this new person 🥺🥺
Oh my goodness "Amber" and "Autumn" for sister/sister or sister/brother names go SO well together!! Both begin with A and both give off cosy/fall/orangey vibes 🍂😍
AD stands for Anno Domini which is Latin for in the year of the lord I believe , love the autumn haul you did and loving seeing mila more ❤️. Amber growing so much bless her . Happy birthday James 🥳 xx
Thank you for this, I had to have my young pup put to sleep today I’m devastated and this has helped me stop crying, I even laughed at james sarcasm ☺️😞Amber is just the most beautiful baby omg!! Hope you’ve vlogged you doing the autumn decor 😍
@@deannrose274 thank you, he was a rescue and we did everything we could to help him with the physical damage done from the neglect but it was just too much. Their video certainly made me smile 💞
I got some bad news and had a really hard day. I worked two back to back shifts on top of it and half school tomorrow… I am so tired, sad, angry and devastated. Thank you for being my safe space you guys. Thank you for comforting. For bringing me so much peace when I need it 🧡🖤🤍 love you guys.
Just some advice I don’t know if you have tried it yet but when little lady is poorly with a blocked nose use - Calpol Vapour Plug In & Nightlight - Lavender & Chamomile. Absolute life saver & you can get vapour stuff for the bath which also helps sooo much! Also vicks on the bottom of her feet with socks on 🥰
I’m from Seattle, WA and it’s usually cold, rainy, grey, and dark all winter long. It’s miserable!!! I light tons of candles, have as much natural light during the day as possible, and have bright colors around the house that make it joyful.
I love watching your vlogs even more now you’re a mum! Being pregnant and watching your positivity combined with the reality of parenthood has really helped me prepare and become less anxious. Best family on youtube x
I got the paton Dr Martins when I was 19 years old and I'm 30 at the start if next year. When I wear them I still get asked if they are new they have lasted so well
I couldn’t agree with you more Carys. It’s not the nicest time of year weather wise and it is the best reason why we need to decorate with lights and candles. It is mentally draining so having the lights and pretty stuff in your house it makes it way better to get through the season I decorate for every season and I love it. OMG Ambers outfit ❤️ can you get any cuter. She truly is the cutest little boo ever I absolutely love seeing her and watching her grow. She’s precious ❤️. It’s after death but now they use C.E. which stands for common era
JAMES at start of this vlog is hilarious 😂 Also it’s anno Domini (AD) and before Christ (BC) Love this counteracting the SAD ... seasonal something the downs you meant.... you guys are sunshine’s in my day! Yesss home cooked winter meals.... me and hubby are excited for the return of the slow cooker!
With my onions and carrots I blitz them in a small food processor until they’re the size I like, I don’t mince them fully otherwise the texture isn’t great but a few blitzes and it’s so quick and easy
My most sufficient way to cook onions, I chop them up & chuck them in the pan that has oil in. I then mix the onions in the oil to coat them. Then let them sit on the stove on high with the lid on for about 6-8 minutes (depending how hot your stove gets & all) & voila, cooks super well haha
We live in Canada and once the snow starts boy oh boy we do not see grass for at least 5mths, but the sun still shines that much it’s sunglasses time. Fall is beautiful here corn stalks around people’s door.
B.C. means before Christ/B.C.E means Before Common Era (for whoever isn't religious) and A.D. means Anno Domini which people commonly think is "after death but it means Year of our Lord and C.E. means common era (for non religious people).
I love that you were going to go into home sense with Amber by yourself and then you also drove yourself there to have a browse, I feel like pre-Mum Carys would’ve over thinked (not a word lol) so much about that ❤️
James - you can buy frozen pre chopped onions (or you can get it as a frozen 'soup base mix' which includes other finely chopped things like carrots). I get mine in Tesco x
Why are all female RU-vidrs Going crazy because we are coming into dark dreary cold grey days and nights. Yes Autumn Winter what we make it but for heaven's sake people calm down.
It’s crazy seeing you both have a beautiful child and becoming parents but what amazing parents you both are and it’s lovely to see! Happy for you both so much!
In Australia, during winter it gets dark around 5/6 and during summer is stays light until sometimes 8pm. I love winter as I enjoy being comfortable in layers and blankets but I always miss the sunshine and a little bit of warmth!
Also, in the US Midwest: darkness in winter starts around 5pm…I lived in the UK for a bit and when it got dark at 3pm that was definitely a change! Those two hours help make it feel more like evening darkness vs mid-day!
Great video I hope your ok Carys you seemed really down in some parts of the video regarding settling amber and a little stressed out I hope all is well with you. It came across that parenting may be difficult at the moment we all go through it time to time but please make sure you keep on top of your mental health as you still have a young baby and this still can be affected. But please seek help if need be but loved the autumn items very nice x
I have a cousin who lives in Alaska where the sun doesn't set from late May to late July. In the winter they have dark days a period of time too I believe. It depend on how far north you are also.
Carys I absolutely adore you, my mood was rubbish most of today and you guys just put such a smile on my face so Thankyou for being yourself always ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥺
I live in Australia and it’s dark from like 6pm - 5.30am then when it’s day light savings (goes from around oct to April) it gets dark at like 7/7.30pm and doesn’t go get light until 6.30am
I don’t often comment but at 35:50 when the camera changes to Amber in her new outfit plonked behind those pumpkins…. Well it cheered me right up. She looks picture perfect for Autumn 🍂 🙃
OBSESSED with autumn as you Carys!!! I CANNOT wait to decorate my house with an autumn wreath and pumpkins and wearing jumpers and dress my little one in THE cutest outfits for autumn weather!!! Eeee can’t wait 💛💛🍂🍁🥧 🎃
James would have a breakdown at our house. I decorate for Christmas 1st to mid Nov. and it stays up till Feb sometime. I know it sounds crazy BUT... I decorate all through the house and have 3 trees, and do the bathroom even. It is sooooo much work but it looks so amazing ( if I do say so myself but have also been told many times) In Canada it is cold and dark and it helps so much with the seasonal blues. I get so excited seeing the Fall decor and the Christmas stuff... it really does bring joy.
I’m from New Zealand and the South Island is dark at about 4pm and north Island is about 5pm but in summer the South Island is light till about 9pm! And north island is about 8:30
I literally love how excited you are about autumn Carys! It also triggers the excitement in me and uhhhh now I need to get a pumpkin spice latte right away 😍🎃
Although I totally also did buy new shoes (just 1 pair) after having our baby, tbh my feet slowly start to become normal again now (12 months postpartum). Soooo just a heads up :-)
It's called SAD. Seasonal Affective Disorder. It happens with the lack of light and vitamin D. I got a SAD lamp that I turn on in the evenings while I'm reading, or doing crafts. Just 15 minutes of it on your face or skin and it helps!!
Tip for the onions: buy them pre-chopped in the frozen isle, or - as I do - buy a kilo of onions, peel them all, throw them in the food processor and freeze them yourself; one hour work and you‘ll have onion ready for weeks, saves so much time during the week 🙌🏼
Carys are you finding it easier to go out alone now and drive? Could you do a vlog sometime talking about it and how you have over come some of your anxiety to get out more as I am still struggling, Still at the point of avoiding things which is making it worse.
My feet went up a size after my children but after 18 yrs I was back smaller than my pre-pregnancy size ( I also found that wearing compression stockings early in the day made them even smaller 18 yrs later) interesting what pregnancy does to our bodies long term
I live in MN @ the 45 parallel longest day is 15 h36m, shortest 6h51m. The saying here is ‘There is no bad weather only improper clothing.’ Yeah…more jumpers (sweaters) holiday lights are up through February, many nordic customs including the idea of ‘hygge’, winter carnivals and sports. What is good is to acknowledge the shift in seasons and how it affects our moods. Well done on the Autumn celebration- it’s apple season now university of Mn is the world leader apple development and brings you Honeycrisp and all its cousins! Cheers🍎
I had my doc martins for decades. Bought mine when I was 17 in 1993 with my first job, working at the mall for $125.00. They were 10 or 12 holes, the tall ones, suede with a small pocket on the side, never knew what the pocket was for. But when I got pregnant I couldn’t wear them anymore my feet went from 7 1/2 to an 8. My mom kept them till her death a couple of years ago. They still looked the same. The quality back then was so much better, then the way they are made now. Birkenstock sandals, same thing great quality back in the nineties, now they are made of a crappy cheap materials. It sad because you really don’t get the good quality you pay for.
There are regular leather Docs, you must've chosen the shiny leather ones. Those are harder to break in as the leather isn't as soft but hopefully they won't be too bad - or just exchange them! I love my regular leather ones - they are def worth the hype and they're very warm.
love the video guys, carys hope you and Amber had a nice day and you all enjoyed your walk and at your friends house hope you enjoy your dinner, happy birthday James. x ❤️😘
I miss Autumn weather, I live in Queensland in Australia but I grew up in the UK in Dorset! We have only two seasons here, but I am definitely not complaining about the warmer weather, I find 21 degrees cold now!
