I think we just created my favorite autumn tradition last night. Oct. 4th was the due date of our first miscarried baby. We were able to celebrate her short life by having cake, singing together, talking about heaven, and lighting special candles for each of our lost babies. In the future I would like to include a Waldorf calendar ring with candles our living children have rolled to honor the babies.

I am new to the Waldorf method and want to learn how to incorporate it into my homeschooled grandchildren's weekly visits. This is SUCH a helpful video! We created our first seasonal table last week. Thank you for sharing all your insights. Love them all!

We are using the Around the Year mini book with our perpetual calendar as well. Love your seasonal activities and nature table. Every year our little ones do a nature scavenger hunt and we use those items for sorting activities. This year our 3.5 year old watercolored a canvas using fall colors and we glued some of her finds to the canvas for an autumn wall display.

We enjoy the pumpkin patch! We cannot let Autumn pass by without this adventure! Also, we harvest our feijoa’s as they’re ready every October. 💛💛

I love your videos ! My baby just turned 1 and I am excited to incorporate fall activities in her toy rotation I currently have a fall sensory table set up for her. I find it a little difficult to find printable for her age but I am on the hunt for some great ones for her 💜

Thank you 🥰 and thanks for being here! I think sensory tables/activities are best for young ones. I didn't prepare many printable activities when my littles where that age. Play-doh, water, painting, music, maybe finger puppets or hand plays and open-ended play are all pillars of early learning. However, you can consider an object to picture match activity. For example; printed photos/flashcards of farm animals. Start with introducing three at a time (let's say cow, horse, pig) and provide animal play toys for your little to match to the card. So, match the cow toy to the cow picture. This is a wonderful activity for language development, critical thinking, visual discrimination etc. Personally, we love Safari LTD or Schleich animal toys. Melissa and Doug also has good animal figure sets. Ostheimer or Holtziger for natural made/wooden animal figurines. This was one of their favorite shelf work activities as toddlers.

Relatively new subscriber, here. I am thrilled that your channel was recommended to me, as I have gleaned so much inspiration for enlivening our home, and a lot of great advice on keeping homeschooling fun! My personal favorite Autumn tradition is going on a nature hike and collecting beautiful gifts from the trees, like changing leaves, or acorns, to decorate with or to make into seasonal crafts. That, or a visit to an orchard, farm or pumpkin patch. My birthday is in October, and it just wouldn't feel like my birthday without getting out to gather some of the harvest! I think it is my children's favorite tradition, too. The last thing I want to add is that Debbie from A Child's Dream is an absolute DEAR! I just placed an order the other week and made an error that I didn't catch until after submitting, and she so graciously helped me with my order. Just wonderful customer service, and such beautiful items. A big recommendation from me for any other viewers to shop at A Child's Dream! Happy Autumn! 🍁🌻🍂🌼🍃

My son absolute fav dragon book is called NOT YOUR TYPICAL DRAGON by Dan Bar-el. It’s about a dragon named Cripsin who is turning 7. That’s when they start breathing fire, but he doesn’t breathe fire...all kinds of other stuff shoots out! Like bandaids, stuffed animals, and party streamers!! It’s a great book. Wonderful video, I love how you’ve set up your fall nature table! We will be welcoming our first grand baby to the family in November, I set up seasonal nature corners for my children and have been re-inspired to set them up for my grandchildren. I love all of your ideas! 😀🍂 Our favorite tradition for fall is to make a crock pot full of mulled apple cider, a nice pot of potato soup, and fresh bread to enjoy as a family to kick off the fall season. We also enjoy a backyard fire pit and toasting up some marshmallows for dessert. Fall is my favorite time of year and I love enjoying special time together as a family. ☺️🍁
