Welcome to my first (hopefully not last) short documentary film!
Vibrant autumn leaves we admired have turned brown and fallen. Winter has waited patiently & will wait no more. The magic of the Christmas season is upon us. This is a story of love and friendship. This is a story of cozy moments, epic hot cocoa, music & twinkling lights. This is a story of overcoming the worse that life can throw at you. This is a story of the seasons change and how we change with them. This is my story and yet, it could also be your story. Cuddle up on your couch, grab a blanket, your favorite hot beverage, snuggle in and turn up your volume. Join me through your screens and I'll join you in my imagination, together we will start the Christmas season. Merry Christmas!
This film is being premiered on December 1st, 2023. My 19th anniversay of sobriety from alcoholism. Your support on this day means a lot to me and I appreciate everyone that watches, likes & comments. Please know that no matter what we go through in life, we can overcome. Thank you truly for your support and love.

Omg Natasha I'm in tears. This film was so beautifully done, and I could listen to your voice all day it's so calming . I think you both have an amazingly decorated home, very tasteful. My taste in tree decorations is the same as your mom's. Congratulations on your achievement. I send blessing goodwill and love to you both. Your relationship is so stunningly beautiful you're love for each other is plain to see and it's real. ❤❤

Thank you Natasha and Debbie. You had me at Aunt Linda arriving and dressing the tree with your dear mum's ornaments. Both special and precious in their own right. I had an Aunt who was neither a blood relation or through marriage, but a dear friend of my nana's (Grandmother), she was a very special person in my life and though she has been gone for a while now, she held and still holds a special place in my heart alongside both my much missed parents, for whom one Christmas they got a present they were not expecting to arrive that day...I wonder if you can guess who? 👶🍼 🎁 A lovely little film to say farewell to the Fall (Autumn) and start the festive season.

Dear Natasha, I know I am not commenting on day 1 of this film release, but that is for a good reason. I set down on early evening yesterday in the uk to watch this, and the moment is started I was in a winter wonderland, just every detail, your voice over, the slow mo into every shot, the amazing music, your editing is brilliant, your years as a photographer I can see so much here, and as an editor of my youtube videos, and learning those skills, your did great, but most of all, you made me cry in a good way, I have watched it 3 times, and I'm going start it again, lastly you have started a new Christmas tradition for me, every December I will watch this, and I'm so glad to see the magic of Christmas back in life, see you on next video and Facebook. Merry Christmas

Just beautiful, thank you 🙏🥰🥰🎄. I too have a mum who passed very shortly after Xmas, 2020. I miss her more than words, but particularly at Xmas. Mum WAS Xmas; she gave her 5 children the most amazing, beautiful, happy Christmas’s despite (unbeknown to we kids) my alcoholic Dad invariably drinking the Xmas present money away. Many a time Mum would be up until way into Xmas night/morning finishing off the presents she had (by necessity) made us ❤️. Funny how, without knowing that these presents were borne of financial hardship, we children ALL remember the homemade presents the most fondly? 🙏. My Dad was sober for 15 years before cancer took him a few months before it took mum, too. Luckily he was a ‘passive alcoholic’, so we children had always adored him - whilst as adults understanding the terrible strain his drinking had on mum. But those 15 years we had him, as a proper, functioning family, are now much cherished. Wishing you love, peace and joy, Natasha and Debbie, and thank you for the emotions your beautiful film allowed me, and for making me excited to bring down (from the loft) all my Xmas decs tomorrow 🎄🙏

❤❤ tis Ange Natasha this was so moving. December is a tricky month for me. I have 3 family members that passed this month (( my dad Dec 4th 1995 , my nonna Dec 16th 1993 n my godmother Dec 18th1995 )) but there are also two birthdays. (( 8th n 9th Dec)) I have found that when the tears need to flow i let them. N during ur beautiful short film they did indeed flow. Just hearing Amazing Grace was enough. This was beautifully done. Thank you

I'm glad you have returned to the Christmas feeling. Im still struggling. My mom passed on the third of advent 1991 and since then Christmas has been off. Most of them I have spent alone. I have no large family, sometimes friends have invited me over, but it doesn't sit right with me. Maybe I'll find my way back. Maybe not. Just happy that others have joy. I don't suffer for it. Have a wonderful holiday!

What a beautiful and emotional film! I recently watched for the frst time Natasha's video from 2 years ago about why she no longer celebrated Christmas - and seeing this new chapter now in 2023 is so lovely - and meeting Aunt Linda! I used to throw myself 100% into Christmas, as a time of family celebration, with so many traditions, some big and some small. In recent years things have changed, and I find myself reflecting on our losses, and the season has become smaller - a pale shadow of former years. Having watched this film has made me reassess, and this year I will be celebrating the memories, rather than the present, and it will go some way towards restoring my joy - so thank you for that gift!

Such a beautiful video Natasha, ❤❤❤ Brought tears to my eyes ❤ Your heart, love and soul went into every second, When our seasons end and begins, so do we, it's always about family, love, and forgiveness for those we loved with all our hearts who left us, We remember all those who left us, to be at peace, and it's time we were at peace, and our seasons and especially xmas time. We always carry them in our mind and hearts, whether it's putting a Xmas tree up, candle, it doesn't matter, all that does, we carry them with us always Your video shows me Natasha, and of course Debbie, no matter how bad\tough our seasons brings us, you did your mum so, so proud. I'm sure your mum and to all those we lost , not just this year, but many before, we can celebrate, we can go on, knowing all our loved ones are looking down on us, and being extra proud of us all, getting through another year, another season, ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️♥️♥️♥️♥️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️

I'm so sorry I missed the Premier. I've just watched it. Natasha it was beautiful. I'm in tears. My life hasn't gone quite the way I had planned, I grieved a little during this. Something I haven't always allowed myself to do. I had to keep going for my boys. They're men now and I'm disabled through a number of medical issues. But I'm still here. Thank you for the reflection and hope. You seem to be a lovely couple. It's lovely to see love in real time and your lives seem full of it. Take care of yourselves and what you have, and thank you. Much love, Helen.

Was only moaning today about dreading putting up the tree and ending up with sore hands from the plastic needles.... Solution: wear gloves!! Ffs...today years old, and those years are older and stupider than they should be! A beautiful film, and I learned an overwhelmingly obvious life hack. And I got to your mom's tree and I'm sat in my kitchen crying, I'm so sorry, but so happy you rekindled the spirit of Christmas and have found a way to honour and represent her so beautifully. X

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom 😪 and as you say, at Christmas of all days. No wonder you've been struggling to celebrate after what happened. I hope you're proud of yourself for keep being sober. It's not an easy road even when nothing dramatic happens. As far as I heard it's even harder during holidays. Or when something happens, like it did with your mom. And from that year, you have to handle both the loss and great, and the holiday at the same time. That's an annual challenge that you keep winning time after time. Be proud if yourself, you're doing an amazing job! 🙏🏻💜👏🌟

Natasha, you made me cry. I lost my mum on boxing day 1999 and I now always work on that day helping others when I can't help myself. Your film made with heart and soul resonates so strongly. I wish you both the best for Christmas and a prosperous New year ❤xxx

A lovely tribute to your mother. I feel for you. My father was born on St Nicholas Day (6th December) and my mother was born 19 days later on Christmas Day. I lost my father the Easter a month before my 9th birthday and my mother on the 16th May 2015. The day before my birthday. Two days of the year that have always been so important but now have a bittersweet feel to them This year my husband and I will let the children celebrate their own Christmas days with their families. We plan to take the dogs and go back to the North East, spend a day or two at Beamish museum, stay within sight of the Angel of the North and take the dogs for walks on the Northumberland coast before driving down to near the Welsh border to spend a couple of days on our narrowboat.

This will be my second Christmas without my Mum who was a great lover of Christmas which I inherited from her. I still try to keep the traditions going even if I am on my own. Incidentally Amazing Grace was played at her funeral so that bought a tear to my eyes. Here's hoping you have a great Christmas and an even better New year. 🎄

Natasha, a beautiful film which brought back to me the meaning of Christmas, because since my marriage ended Christmas as not really mattered because my soul got damaged so badly and life became a lonely place. I'm slowly repairing month by month with the help from my friends on this channel and of course the one little special friend in my life my daughter Chloe who is everything to me, she's only 8 but keeps her daddy going and me also with Chloe because Chloe also as not found the split so easy either and she thought she'd lost her daddy which was heart breaking to hear. So like yourselves chloe and myself are putting our tree up and decorating daddys place this weekend. Watching your film as given me so much inspiration and warmed my poorly heart so thankyou. Love being part of yours and Debbies family and was lovely seeing Aunt Linda. Sending you all my love at Christmas from my little family to yours❤

What a lovely film. Well done for 19 yrs of sobriety. It made me cry as miss my mom too. It’s the people who are and who have been in our lives that make this season joyful. Treasure them with all your heart. Aunt Linda is so delightful. Merry Christmas to you both 🎄

What a wonderful cosy film, I missed autumn completely this year, spent the whole season in hospital from September to end November, nine weeks away from home with heart infection, ending in successful heart surgery🤞glad to be home now and recovering and winter snow and Christmas is already all around, I love Christmas and all the cosy feelings but am something of a spectator to it all this year but thats ok its not about the preparation and organisation for me this year, its about family and spending precious time together so just going with the flow and soaking it all in, Merry Christmas everyone 💕

What a lovely video, and very well made, and paced. The last time I saw my father before he died was on xmas day as he left in an ambulance...I didn't do anything at xmas for several years after, but then realised I had to make my own traditions, and make peace with those dreadful feelings of loss. I bought a tree and some new decorations, and every year I add one or two new items. Now I look forward to the cozyness, the twinkly lights and a bit of over-indulgence. All those we lose never really go away, we carry them with us in so many ways. All the best to you both for a very Merry Christmas, from a snowy Yorkshire. (ps. everyone should have an Aunt Linda!)

This is such a beautiful piece of filming it really touched me. I lost my mum in March this year so I'm not feeling Christmas at all I have lost all love for it. The part where you talked about loosing your mum made me cry. Maybe next year I will feel more able to enjoy Christmas again 🤗
