@@FNLEW I only mentioned it as ive just bought some D3S expensive 6000k HID's as thats what the magical Internet said I needed when I checked using my registration, went to fit them and realised I needed the HIR2 bulbs. The first and last time I buy anything without checking with my own eyes hopefully I can return them 🤞
For anyone worrying about passing an MOT with these bulbs, providing you have projector style headlights, you’ll be fine. The Insignia in the video has them. It’s the style of light with the glass ball lens in front of the bulb. Vauxhall use the same light housings for halogen and the top level HID’s (in the facelift Insignia in the video). You’ll fail and blind everyone of you fit led’s to a mark 1 Insignia that has the halogen headlights, as they are open non projector ones (all except the elite model) 👍🏻
this is illegal as it’s retrofitting the new law since 2021 has been introduced it’s classed as modification from standard manufacture halogen where as before 2021 it was a grey area this will defo fail the mot now
Had H1’s delivered for my FN2 Type R but I need a set of H1 LED Headlight Replacement Male Plug Single Diode Converter Wiring Connecting Lines Cables, just in case anyone else buys H1’s Can get them on Amazon no bother. Good job on your Dad’s motor!
I thought I needed one of those but there's a second brown wire hiding above the bulb that goes into the second connection on the auxbeam bulbs. I might be wrong but that was my experience. Thank you very much ☺️
@@FNLEW Installed them in like 5 minutes. Waited for the evening and the result is STUNNING! What a difference from the standard crappy halogens. This is the best 75 euro's spend in ages :D
Hi mate watched video on your Vauxhall insignia led light can u tell me which model are the led lights u fitted AuxBeam lights on ur dad car let me know model number box soon as
What are the led lighting u using on the Vauxhall insigina 64 reg because mine it shit can u tell me what are the kit you using number were did I get from
Where did you get the Auxbeam bulbs from as the site you have linked is for the US site so my 2013 Vauxhall Astra J GTC with projector lights aren’t listed?
The main site is a U.S site mate. Your best bet is to go off the bulb code in my pinned comment rather than your car model. Or check the code on your own bulbs.
Hi, I just wondered what plug type I need for a 2014 Vauxhall insignia vx line. I clicked the link you sent but it asks me to choose a plug type from 9005/HB3/H10 or 9006/HB4 or H1 or H4/HB2/9003. Thanks.
Hello bro I try same led club same car but it's work only driver side not passenger side can u tell me any suggestion.why not working passenger side leb bulb
Hi there. Great video. I just bought the same insignia. I have the 1.5 Sri vxline turbo. Have you got the link for the same ones and what is the fitment for these? I hate the old halogen look lol. Thanks ryan
I don't know if your fitment will be any different to this model but I've pinned a comment for the fitment and the link to the bulbs is in the description.
Hello bro I buy same aux led bulb .I put them insignia nd only driver side is working nd not passenger side .Both bulb working only driver side not passenger side .can u help me.or any fuse i put in no 49 fuse point .
This is the reply I had when stating my reg make and model and bulb type.. I can't find out the correct bulb plug type for your car online. #1 Please check your owners manual and inspect the currently installed to ensure the proper fitment. Find out which bulb type your vehicle takes: #2 If you are a bit more hands-on and are able to remove your headlights yourself, you can remove the headlight and take a look at the bulb. The bulb will state the fitting around the casing.
Hello 😊 excellent video, I have an insignia like this with halogen headlights as standard, and they're honestly crap, really really crap. When I looked into this, I was told they wouldn't pass the test and also that my car couldn't be set up with LEDs because of something called canbus wiring? And apparently the LED would flicker, I dont believe this as the top spec elite models have LEDs, so why cant mine? My question to you is, will these headlights cause a problem with my car? Would it be a fire hazard or will they flicker? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, because I'm going to end up having a crash otherwise. Liked and subscribed, thanks again.
Hi there. Thanks very much! Now I wouldn't want to be the reason why you got into an accident so the choice of buying these bulbs will have to be completely down to you. But from my experience with this manufacturer and my dad's experience with these bulbs, there has been no problems, no flickering, no overheating. And they're still going strong today. That's our experience anyway. ☺
Daniel 1 I got told the same by 2 different mechanics and even a man in Halfords 😂 they all said I’d need a conversion kit if I wanted LEDs and even then they probably wouldn’t pass an mot test. But I’m goin to order these ones anyway an see how I get on
first thing i did when i got my 2016 insignia was upgrade to LED headlight bulbs 😂 off topic here, i notice your dads is the 2.0L cdti same as mine. has he ever had issues with the intercooler pipe at the right side of the engine cover? mines snapped off its coupling all a sudden a few months ago. just wondering if he has ever had issues with the pipe. after some research, there common for doing what my pipe done lol
@@FNLEW i done a temporary repair as the pipe is hard to find, the previous layout is totally different from ours and couldn't find another facelift in any breakers. if he suddenly hears large amounts of air being sucked in, it'll sound like its the turbo though a lot louder, it'll actually be the pipe coming away from the stupid plastic coupling were it connects to the intercooler control valve. he'll instantly get the impression of a serious misfire and it could cause DPF issues if not resolved soon enough.
Happened to mine as well. Was exiting a roundabout in second gear and accelerated a bit faster than usual and I heard a loud explosion. Turned out to be the pipe you’re talking about.
@@FNLEW were there any issues with the bulb and the clearance of the cover? I’ve just bought some Philips Ultinon ones and I can’t get the cap back on without it hitting the bulb.
They are hir2 not ds3. ☺ For some reason vauxhall decided to use HIR2 and there aren't many cars that use them so choice of bulbs is very small compared to the more popular H7 bulbs.
I've heard this often unfortunately. I think you can change the distribution from USA to China on the site but I don't know if they have more stock that way.
Only just subscribed, has Lewis got his own insignia aswel as his dad or just his civic? I subbed hoping for more videos on insignia modifications btw 😬
FNLEW I’m jealous of your dads Atomic alloys,I was quoted £1,100 from vauxhall just for them alloys and then each tyre was about £120 on top of that. I’m stuck with the 17”s it came with Edit; also do you know if fitting these lights made an error code flash up on the dash?
@@andrewharper5720 form doing a quick Google it looks like d3s bulbs but I'd double check yourself by doing a search or pulling a bulb out of your own insignia 👍🏻
you DO need to point out to your viewers that these LED bulbs are ONLY suitable for cars which already have led,`s OR projector headlights, if you fitted these to normal headlights fitted with halogen bulbs, your going to DAZZLE oncoming traffic, good video btw.
I know what your saying like you seen in older cars but this is the facelifted insignia we’re talking about, these came with projector lights, even though mine came with halogens I fitted LED’s and they’re a lot better than the factory halogens
@t5jerry in today's reality, it's not really an issue to be this abrupt and arrogant about it is it. I've installed LEDs on a specific car that has projector lenses. Nobody else would have this much of an issue with it.
