I’ve been to the movies and they were actually cleaning right before we got there and the seats you can tell were sanitized and smelling good, also I’m more comfortable going to the broadway theatre rather than the movies because they actually do more cleaning between shows than the movies

LOVED Black and White- I found myself hollering at the screen in agreement. It was the nod one black person gives to another amongst a sea of white faces. Thank you, Ava, once again for telling the story of a great person among us. A view of all the mess we allow, the mess created long before we were born, that sharpened not his insecurities but his focus enough for him to tell all of us to 'Trust Your Power.' Great film. I agree 💯!! I absolutely loved Black & White. It brought out a multitude of emotions that I wasn’t expecting. I was enraged 🤬 at times, hollering 😫@ the screen,(as u stated), shocked 😮, mesmerized😵💫& overjoyed 😄! That takes an amazing 🤩 creative director, writer, storyteller & visionary to create such an uplifting, powerful, & bold story. I was impressed. Colin did an amazing job delivering his transparency for the 🌍. Bless that brother and his new journey in life. Football 🏈 is his past. His future will be brighter with his endless & creative endeavors that won’t involve a life of physical injuries &/or possible brain 🧠 damage(CTE). Bless Ms. Ava for her enlightening storytelling. I love these “what if” questions because it shows character within the person answering but also you don’t know what you would really do until that situation arises
Yeah, and if we really want to be honest, they tried to front when the question of the "Would you accept a pardon by Donald Trump if you were in prison?" question came up. None of them wanted to answer the question honestly, lol Of course they would accept a pardon from Trump if it means them being released from prison. All of them would do it in a fucking heartbeat.

I really appreciate Ava, and in awe of phenomenal creativity but not fond of her work. It seems as if her directorial style is as if moving in slow motion. But, so very proud and happy that she's in that cinems-space.

I work for a company in Chicago, CSI-Absolute Clean, and we clean all of the AMC Theaters in Chicago, the suburbs and parts of Indiana, Wisconsin and Iowa. We clean the Carpets and the seats. We are not in charge of when they change out the carpet from old to new. We also clean the Chuckie Cheese Restaurants as well. So yes, the Theaters do get cleaned.
Love Ava's work! I'm glad Ava responded to Charlemagne about childhood trauma. Everyone does not experience childhood trauma. I'm glad he's doing the work for himself and helping others but everything that's true for you is not true for others.
Agreed, i'm tired of him trying to force it all the time. Just because he goes to therapy every Friday at 3PM don't make him an expert on everybody else.
I don't think he's trying to shove therapy down anyone's throat. I feel like he has experienced the benefits of therapy and is sharing that with HIS people, a people who are desperately in need of healing. We may not have all grown up in traumatic environments but we as black people exist in a world that is traumatic by design so we are constantly introduced to trauma. Talk therapy is one of several ways to promote healing but if that's not your thing, then I still feel that he can all benefit from some form of self care, especially the ones who feel like they don't need therapy.
She pulls me towards the screen. You know that she's a boss and can do/say what she wants but her natural curiosity disarms the room. I love it when smart and powerful people ask insightful questions. It's refreshing. Great interview.
When Ava broke down the evils of people that may have treated you well at some point. She got a little too deep for them, but it is something you can't distance yourself from.

The best documentary ever. Ava put the Colin story together so well. I hope everyone will see it. So proud of Colin. Praying God will continue to protect Colin and push him higher into his social justice destiny.

I just finished Black and White (on my phone 😒) but it was MASTERFUL. I love it, it was beautifully shot, and beautifully told. I just came here to say that. BTW, that scene with the base almost blew out my car speakers.
Ava is the example of what a “BOSS“ truly is about! Love this lady and her body of work. She has a amazing backstory and how she changed her career for something that she truly wanted to do and now look at her, she is at the top of her game! Colin in Black & White' was a really different film Art piece. It's a sports film/ Doc/ Narrative/ Family film combination with a strong message. . People you work with in the same industry ..those are your colleagues. There is no Team in filmmaking is there? Some prefer saying Family. But, there is definitely a Unit of togetherness and chemistry that has to happen.

The fact that Ava is laughing that Angela has a spot set aside in her home for a possible real life Purge proves that most people aren't taking what's happening right now seriously. On the show today Angela played a clip of a white man asking when they can use their guns to start taking out people. If we fail to show up in larger numbers in 2022. The real life Purge has already begun in California a Black man shot 7 times for asking a guy who almost hit him to slow down. In Ohio a man purposely ran over protestors with his Truck and no charges. This week the judge in Kyle's Whitrenhouse trial said the people Kyle has killed can't be called victims. If Republicans win 1 or both houses next year it's all over. The real Purge will happen in 2023. It's nothing to laugh at.
I wonder if they’re going to ask her anything about how bad the Democrats are doing. Since she was one of the main celebrities telling Black people don’t ask for anything just vote them in first and then hold them accountable smh. A couple of movies have y’all thinking these people are for us 💯💯
@@meks1478 A better message to spread would be demanding something for our vote and not just giving it away out of fear. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. Black people have been voting democratic for 60 plus years and little have been done on our behalf. Both sides could care less about Black people but it’s about leveraging our vote to whatever side is willing to do tangible work and not acts of symbolism.
