A tribute to one of cinema's most alluring beauties and a woman whom I admire greatly after reading her autobiography (My Story - which I highly recommend). This video tribute to Ava Gardner features the song 'She's Like The Wind' sung by Patrick Swayze.

She was still gorgeous without the makeup. There were many pretty actresses at that time, but Ava was absolutely ravishing. There was something very unique about her beauty and she had that mysterious and seductive aura about her.

@MrAkihiros. Hollywood today goes for a more corporate image. I have seen strikingly handsome men and beautiful women just walking down the street or riding a bus. They often have the types of features that used to be considered attractive. Today everyone looks the same. The men look too feminine or androgynous, and the women all have the same bone structure. It's all so boring now.

ava gardner and ashley judd make me go all mushy on the inside. there are alot of beautiful women but those two stand out for me. currently i'm hung up on laura breckenridge. she gives me that same weird mushy feeling. and yes, i know that doesn't sound particularly manly, but beauty like that can make us all weak as water.

@thoserubyslippers Ava was a heavy smoker; I doubt she worked out. Actresses back then were beautiful for a short time when they're young. Then they fade.
