Don’t be too hard on Ron. His greatest weakness is his insecurity & he has good reasons to be insecure. He comes from a poor family & all of his possessions are hand-me-downs from his brothers. He’s the youngest of 6 boys & all of his older brothers are successful & popular & well regarded. The oldest, Bill, was Head Boy at Hogwarts & now has a glamorous job as a curse breaker for Gringotts Bank. Charlie was the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain & now works with dragons. Percy was a Prefect & Head Boy at school & works for the Minister of Magic. Fred & George are witty, creative & hugely popular at school. Then there’s Ginny, the youngest child & much longed for, desperately wanted daughter. Ron knows the only reason he was born was because his parents were trying for a girl. Plus his own mother doesn’t know his likes & dislikes. She always knits him a maroon sweater for Christmas & he hates the color maroon. She fixes him corn beef sandwiches whenever he has to have a packed lunch & he can’t stand corn beef. Then to top it all off his two best friends are Hermione, the smartest student at school, & Harry, arguably the most famous wizard in the magical world. So he has always felt overshadowed & pushed aside. He’s tired of being the Baby Brother & sidekick. He’s wanting to shine & find his own glory & Harry’s name coming out of the Goblet of Fire just pushed him (temporarily) over the edge. I’m enjoying your reactions very much & the switch to Wizarding robes at the beginning was slick!

Amos Diggory crying is the best acting in this whole series. I still get chills and tear up at "Thats my son! That's my boy!" And his sobs afterwards 😭 loved this reaction, especially the costumes!!! 🙌

The movie has to move faster than the book but did you catch that Barty crouch Jr (fake professor) was charged with torturing Neville's parents to madness? Once you know that it makes the scenes with Barty torturing the spider in front of Neville and then comforting him so much more awful. 😡 Barty is the reason Neville lives with his grandmother

The Second Task of the tournament was for each champion to recover a “treasure” that had been taken from them. The “treasure” was a person that they love. The purpose of the Yule Ball was to find out who each champion loved enough to risk their own lives to save. What better way to do that than have a dance & see who each champion invited. Remember that McGonnagal said the Yule Ball had been a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament from the very beginning. That’s because the Second Task has always been to rescue a loved one So Cedric’s treasure was Cho Chang, who he escorted to the Yule Ball. Same for Victor Krum & Hermione. Harry invited Parvati Patil but spend most of the ball with his friend Ron. It’s never revealed how the Tournament organizers found out that Fleur treasured her little sister the most but in the movie the little girl is seen when the students from Beauxbatons enter the Great Hall. She’s turning flips & cartwheels then when the students reach the high table she goes to stand beside Fleur.

I've seen this movie more times than I can count and even if I just have it on in the background, I can't make it through Cedric's dad's breakdown at the end without tearing up. Props to the actor. I'm sure others have mentioned it, but in the book, Harry actually gave away his prize money for winning the Triwizard Tournament. He gave it to Fred and George so they could open a joke shop upon finishing school. He also attached the condition that they gift Ron a new set of dress robes haha. Oh and I love the costumes! It's so nice to see you guys in the spirit of things.

By the way, you both look very..awesome. it just shows how much you're into this series, and to me that's suuuuuuppppper cool. I'm 24 now and got into the series when I was 12, so it's been a huge part of my life, I just love to see people get into harrys story.

As someone who was sorted into Hufflepuff on The Wizarding World website, Cedric Diggory's death hit hard. Especially seeing Amos run onto the quidditch pitch and hearing him shout "That's my son!! That's my boy!!" Also, they got the movie appearance of Voldemort almost identical to the book. There is one missing detail: in the book, Voldemort is described as having blood red eyes with a slit-like pupil. Another fact, the creature that the imposter Mad-Eye Moody was demonstrating The 3 Unforgivable Curses on was an arachnid called a whip scorpion.

Alot of people dont know this but.... ACCIO = its a spell that lets u basically summon something towards that person. (so when Harry during the dragon match said "ACCIO FIREBOLT", he was summoning his Broom cause the Firebolt is the brand/name of the broom.

Dumbledore is always calm in books, but in movies he gets angry and frustrated. i.e Dumbledore asked harry calmy is a running gag in fandom,because of the wrong portrayel of Dumbledore

When Harry, Ron & Hermione are starting 4th year they are 14, the twins are in 6th year & only 16, so that's why they were upset that the rule was changed to only seniors (7th years) were allowed to participate. They were too young for this round & would be out of school after the next year (assuming they went) & so they wouldn't be there for the next competition, since it only happens every 3 years & the location rotates.

I'm not sure if anyone said this but part of the reason the crutiotis curse (the torturing one. I'm not sure I spelled that right) bothered Nevil so much is because one of Voldemort's people used it on his parents before they were killed. It's not something they go over in detail in the movies and gets overlooked sometimes.

On the behind the scenes of the fight between Fred and George the director wasn’t convinced that they were really fighting so he wanted to demonstrate with one of the twins and Oliver Phelps (George Weasley) offered to “fight “ and when he made a move with the director,he ends up breaking the director’s ribs ,and in the 20 years anniversary,James and Oliver Phelps remembered that scene and said how it was done and James was like “you know when you shouldn’t break a directors rib” and pointed at Oliver and he looked embarrassed

At the beginning The old man is the caretaker of the old house, and he is grumpy because kids are always breaking in and vandalizing the house. The only light in the house is coming from the fireplace so yes he is angry at "Damn Kids" only its not "Damn Kids" this time. There is a very big back story involving the old man and the house and its owners that you can only get in the books. People who never read the books will never know the significance of the house as well as the cemetary in this movie.

Harry was successfully able to thow of the imperius curse, (mind controlling curse)needs a strength of character, because thnx to fake moody. One of the notable magical feat of harry. Funny isn't the actual reason voldemort failed to kill harry was because his follower tought the students very well😂

The books go into a lot further detail as to why the tournament was even being held in the first place (it was part of Voldemorts plan) but essentially it hasn’t taken place in decades due to the fact that yes, it’s quite dangerous and some former contestants died from it

Also in the books there were suppose to be creatures in the maze also but in interviews they said they felt it would go too dark doing that so they just left it as people getting possessed. Also, the guy who plays Voldemort is Liam Neeson. I found that interesting when I first heard it.

The flirtation between Harry and Cho goes back to book #3 - she is one year ahead of Harry. She is also the Seeker on the Ravenclaw Quiddich team with Cedric. During their first match up Cho literally chases Harry to learn his strategy, but she then shows her own prowess and Ravenclaw wins. In book #4 she is quickly asked to the Ball by Cedric because they are already friends through Quiddich and in close proximity because of their house.

9:55 fun fact! this isn't completely fake/animated. its called a Damon Diadema, also called a Tailles WhipScorpion. they're blind and live in caves, they're also harmless but they look very menacing. they're incredible at feeling their surroundings using sensory hairs as well as feelers to feel out their enviroment. once their prey is located they grab them REALLY fast using their two front pincers. then dinner is served xP

The reason why harry didn’t get hurt by getting hit by the dragon is that magical people are a bit tougher than muggles they can take more damage.

The CRUCIO curse affected Neville as it did because both his parents were tortured to insanity (they still reside in an insane asylum) with it by Bellatrix Lestrange during the first wizarding war against Voldemort
