Well I can't tell you which I like better because I've only tried one set of motors. I'm using the 1306 Emax 4000kv. I've tried both 3030 4 blade and 3045 3 blade. I like the 3030 4 blade best - the scream like murder and it's awesome - but the HQprops break like potato chips. I just ordered some RaceKraft 3030 4 blades which I hear don't break and they also come in neat colors! Currently most are out of stock though. I've been really impressed with the performance. It's obviously not a 5" power monster but still super fun and small. I've handled the new Brother Hobby 1407's and they feel extremely tight! like microscopic air gap crazy strong magnets kinda tight. But I haven't flown them. Samm Sheperd when I flew today it was super windy. On stock pids I got very subtle oscillations in my fpv feed. So I was just wondering if you felt the same thing.

i think you need to calibrate them, here's how: 1. TAKE OFF YOUR PROPS or if it messes up then it WILL hurt you or fly away. 2. put throttle on transmitter to maximum 3. plug in battery and wait for esc beeps 4. set throttle to minimum and it should beep again, then they will be good to go.

Thanks but recalibrating the esc's didn't do anything. I tried my bat on a delta wing I built. The servos worked fine, however the motor didn't spin at all. The esc beeped when connecting, but I couldn't get it to recalibrate...

Please don't hate me. The receiver cables weren't plugged into the FC correctly and I just put it in again. Easiest fix of the year. Sorry for wasting your time. It does not however explain why the motor of my deltawing didn't work. Maybe a problem with the motor...

haha! Don't feel bad. I plugged my signal wires in wrong once and the quad would just flip as soon as you throttled up. Broke 9 props and an arm before I figured out what it was.

N2505 Basically, what you need is a radio (taranis x9d preferably ~220 $) video equipment (depends on make but from ~100 to as high as 600 $) And then you need a quad with at least two HIGH C rating batteries, there you can expect about 150 dollars. Getting in to it is not cheap, but when you have all the gear you can do just about anything. Cheers

Stew from UAVFutures did a review on it if you want to see what he thinks. I really do like it a lot. It fits all full size completely normal parts. So if you're used to building normal race quads than it's pretty much the same except you use smaller motors and batteries. I use the little bees 20a 4in1 esc (with 5v out) and emax 1306 4000kv motors with the RaceKraft 4 bladed 3" props. It screams (and although not quite as high performance as a 5") it is a ton of fun and I was really impressed. I also use 650mah 4s packs with the xt30 connectors. The frame comes with some xt30s too so thats nice

P-Man Stolle Oh cool. Well, I'm not sure I think one is "better" than the other. The small one does have the benefit of having cheaper motors and batteries. The disadvantage for a beginner is that there is a bit less physical room to be "lazy" with your build.
