Amazing and very detailed video as always. But I want to share a side note for the last part of the video where you tested optimized vs ultra settings. This game has much more intense and performance heavy scenes than it’s benchmark test unfortunately and it doesn’t give you the exact performance values for the worst scenarios in actual gameplay. If I speak about my setup, I was getting a stable +60-70 fps most of the time in the benchmark section but during the gameplay, in some really heavy scenes it dipped to the mid 40’s during gameplay.

BenchmarKing, I wanted to say I really appreciate how you don't give out your personal opinion on Motion Blur or other post-process FX. I hate when the RU-vidr talking about the graphics says ignorant things about these graphical features and orders their audience to turn them off instead of just sticking to relevant information or being impartial. I watch these videos to get technical information, not subjective opinions or impartial agendas against graphical effects. You're killing the benchmark/optimization stuff right now. Good stuff.

Hey buddy, first thing first I love your work. I was curious to know if you would try the FSR3 mod for Cyberpunk. as fsr3 is now open source and the mod enable frame generation on RTX 2000 and 3000. Just a quick overview of the mod, not a huge and complete video as you do usually.

Thanks a lot for this video! I personally use an RTX 3090 Ti, but even with such a beast, the game is hard to run at 1440p max settings. I was eager to see your optimization video since they're always the best to retain detail while boosting the frames. I will give them a try whenever the game gets more patches since I feel like it's a bit broken graphics and gameplay wise (as always with Ubisoft....).

What setting shouldI use on rx 7900xtx in 1440p to get a lock on 160 fps? I'm currently running fsr3 fg quality and a high preset with few settings bumped higher (volumetric clouds as the medium clouds were distracting).

Fantastic work - so no 'shame' running the game on Low - with some tweaks to High - you'd probably not notice anyway. Unlike older games, even in the FarCry series. Having played all the FarCrys , it was FarCry5 i could-not see any difference past Medium settings. I'll probably buy the game now.....Thanks

You know what would be interesting? DOOM Eternal or DOOM 2016. Everyone just cranks those games and doesn't worry about performance, but it would be nice to know what the performance impact of each of the settings actually is, especially when trying to get those titles to run on low end hardware. Quick question: In the main video segment for Environment Reflection Quality, you recommend keeping it at High. However, in the optimized settings recap, you recommend Low. Since it has a negligible performance impact, I assume that you'd go with High for the essentially free visual fidelity, but figured I'd ask none the less. Would you mind clarifying? Thanks.

I maxed everything out, DLSS Quality, Fixed, Frame gen off. Motion blur off and it averages 99 fps on a 4080 with a 1440p monitor. Pretty good optimization imo.

hey bro i have a laptop with a 3050 60 watt and an i5-12500h but when playing with optimized settings at 1080p dlss quality i' see that the power usage significantly drops to lower 50's higher 40 and with huge fps drops despite that gpu usage is always close to 100% this problem often happens when i'm in the ground but when i'm i'm swinging in the air it didn't drop can you help me fixing it ?

doesnt this game only use software R??? So it doesn't really matter if your card has dedicated RT cores or not, they wont get used?

Even though the game only utilizes software Ray Tracing, it takes advantage of the dedicated RT hardware accelerator in the GPU if it's available to improve performance.

I have Rtx 3080 and shadow of the charachter looks bad, jagged edges. I have set shadow quality on max and it looks better now but still a bit off especially when u are on the sun. Is this a problem of the game or my laptop has a problem?

@@Brandywine92 aspect ratio 16:9 native, 1920x1080. I am guessing it is a game problem because shadows look bad on sun but better on other lights.

@@Brandywine92 can you tell me your specs? which graphics driver are you using? i have read a lot of people have shadow problems in games and also flickering objects. i am going to buy Mirage and ill see if shadows look good there if not it definitely is my laptop problem!
