Tobakilacion I have to kind of disagree with you.A lot of poeple haven't even heard of them. Its not like their Metallica where even if your not into their music you have still heard of them. Avatar is still partially an underground band, where if your not "in the scene" you've probably never even heard of them.
He's so extra and I love him. He gives everything to his performance and still kicks ass on the vocals. No mic cupping so all that growling is legit. God I love him.
YES!!! so fucking beautiful to see a modern vocalist not cupping the goddamn mic. Makes my audio engineer side just giddy like a fucking school girl xD
Kuba Godlewski well yeah. Obviously. Schlact and Thoughts of no tomorrow were amazing in my opinion, but their self titled album is when they got out of the "death" stage and more into groove. Then in Black Waltz, Johannes's voice really improved, and it remained the same for their next 2 albums, Hail the Apocalypse and Feathers and Flesh. Their new album, Avatar Country, changed completely. And each song is even different. But I don't think it's improving, but changing who he is and how he performs
Without a doubt. I actually only recently discovered them so it's all new to me. It seems, especially in the first three albums, he had a weird screech to his voice. Over the years, his growl had gotten deeper and alot more appealing. IMO, from Black Waltz on, he finally found his pocket.
The guitar riff in the chorus is just one of those riffs where you’re like “this is something else”. Straight into the breakdown too. What a great song
Accidentally discovered this band a few days ago. THANK GOD! I'm fucking obsessed with these guys now. No one will ever knock Misfits out of first place or Ghost from second place in my minds hierarchy of best bands ever, but they've definitely solidified their place eternally in third! Hail the apocalypse!!
same ! i was just looking sround for some songs on youtubr, decided to out some Architects on and then i saw a song named "Bloody Angel" and i decided to look it up
One of the best experiences I had was not knowing who these guys were when they played a show I went to. They straight up knocked me on my ass. This band is an absolute blast.
saw them at rock usa. honestly did better than most of the bands above them. definitely did better than slayer tbh.... cant wait till they get big enough for a headliner at big festivals like that!
If seen slayer 3 times and at rock USA when they got rained out I was still mad but I was happy I went with my girlfried and friend I'm only 29 years old
I miss their stuff like this, super badass. I remember seeing them in a small venue with no more than 50-60 people when the hail the apocalypse album was just coming out. The new stuff isn’t bad but this is what made me fall in love with them.
I’m so happy these guys put on an amazing live show. I’m an OG KoRn fan from the 90’s and these guys are at that level. I hope they realize I just compared them to royalty.😎🤘🏻
Holy shit!!!!! He sounds just as amazing as his recorded vocals!!!.......at 1st I thought he was lip syncing!!!!! Avatar puts on an incredible show!!!!! I wish they would tour the West Coast some day!!!!! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
just discovered these guys. amazing band. really amazing frontman. can't stop watching the beginning of this over and over, when he starts singing and going crazy!!
They are so fucking unique i love it! Love their look as a band and the front man is what a front man should be like full of energy and fucking entertaining most importantly great vocals fucking legit no bullshit. This band deserves way more attention. I'm still unsure abt the name AVATAR tho xD Like why lol
We're proud to have them! Check out Arch Enemy, Amon Amarth, Opeth and Ghost (even though they're not really metal)! We've got some great "under-radar" bands at the moment. (Sure they all are well known, but still, I feel like they don't get the attention they all deserve! :))
I don't get into a whole lot of modern music. But god damn I love these guys. Awesome live vocals, where a lot of metal singers fail. And some of the rhythm reminds me of Faith No More back in the 80s and 90s. This band is tight as fuck.
Just happened on them a couple days ago on Pandora. AMAZING!!! I love them! They're in Vegas on my 52 birthday. Probably not gonna make it. I wish they were coming closer to Sacramento. \m/
So funny. Ive seen multiple comments saying they sound like other bands and every one of them I can hear. For instance Pantera and Korn are a few. Yet they are still so unique. Love them.
