I love that one of the first times they use this on an EPIC scope in the show was between Aang vs Azula in The Drill...The sunset, the colors, the angels, the speed of the animation, the fighting styles, I love how it just BUILDS AND BUILDS AND BUILDS and leaves you a little breathless afterwards. One of my favorite moments from that episode is when Aang is about the lose his Airscooter and he SHOOTS himself down the wall to deliver the final blow.
Legend of korra lacks in the bending animation, there was a sense of power in last air bender, but they tried soooo hard to make it look fancy in korra that it lost all of its strength

That's why we have an entire metalbending police force, and more bloodbenders beginning to crawl out of the woodwork. It's just the world logically advancing and changing as it should. after all, how many people in the world do you think know Kung Fu now vs. just after it was invented in ancient China? Come on, man, at least think it through before you nitpick.

Everytime I hear this song, I can picture the screen perfectly. Aang cutting the rock, running up the wall, and then making the entire drill explode with mud/water. I miss this show
this scene was actually so badass. Aang using his intuition and his critical thinking to bend a rock into a structure that would penetrate the drill and executing it by using air bending for speed. it always gives me the biggest goosebumps over my body just watching this scene
Didn't they use this music in the first episode as well? Everyone remembers the scene where Aang destroys the drill. But I always liked how he went into the Avatar state and used water bending in the first episode when he didn't even know how. And I'm pretty sure that was the same music.

The creators of the show said they really enjoyed making this world and they have intentions of adding onto it. Although Aang is dead in Legend of Korra, They most likely will expand on the comic trilogy "the promise" with another series. They wouldn't kill off Aang for good. They still have a lot of story to cover.
in that case the creators must have changed their minds lately, because now they are making 4 books spanning over 2 seasons which includes 52 episodes in total

Not to mention that it now lives forever in your memory, there is a new series from Avatar world called Legend of Korra and YES, it is very awesome and it totally keeps the atmosphere of the show. Its a bit darker and mature but thats a good thing. Also, there is running comics right now which tells the story of Team Avatar after the 100yr war.
I love LoK mostly because of the story. Like it better than the original, but its(TLA to be exact) characters and character development will be best. I hope they make more avatar in the future, but set them in the past.
The Minecraft Avatar No, just because of the events that transpired in the season finale, the line has begun anew, she's in a sense the new first avatar. As long as the light spirit reincarnates after Korra dies, there will be a new avatar.
At the End of Legend of Korra, They need to have it like so, When Aang and Katara kiss, Aang has a vison of the future (LOK) Then it goes back to normal :3
1. Aang carves stone in to sharp point. 2. Aang Runs up wall. 3. Aang runs back and jumps on top of it. 4. Azula shoots fire. 5. "AIRBENDING SLICE!!!" (Blows up the drill)
Okay people dont get that legend of Korra believe it or not was the last season think about it if they had made another season of just them after the war it would have been a bit boring considering the other ones while Korra showed what would happen to republic city and flashbacks of avatar the last airbender as adults its really good you just have to give it a chance
Korra was tense in pretty much every chapter. Chapter 3: Amon ability to debend people Chapter 6: Amon terroist attack attack Chapter 7: Hirashi revealed to beeing in league with the equalist Chapter 8: Tarllok revealed of being a blood bender and kidnapping Korra Chapter 9: Amon resisiting blood bending and debendiing Tarlokk Chapter 10: Amon take over of Republic city Chapter 11: Amon and Tarlok back stories Chapter 12: Nearly everything.
you know what the problem is with that? if she had to learn everything from scratch like aang, it would be the exact same story but with characters with different names. They focused this serie elsewhere. I do agree that the original story was better, but it was a complete story. they would do wrong continuing TLA. The other option would be no sequel at all. so I still think they did a great job.
Does anyone know where I could find the full fight scene music between Aang and Ozai the only one that I can find is the music to the very beginning of the fight
my reasons for the last airbender being better then legend of korra : 1. I got attached right from the start to aang, katara and the gang...korra didn't have that something 2. she is a typical "mary sue", she could bend 3 elements at 5 years old, with aang we saw how he learned each element and how he struggled with earth and firebending. this makes her a bit clieche-like
While I do find the original better than Korra it is in no way a bad sequel. IMO. I do find it a little annoying that she has 3 elements right from the start but we have to remember that this series is only suppose to be 26 episodes long, compared to the original which was 61. Plus Korra has a major airbending block, more than Aang had with Earth and Fire. Being in one place is a bit meh. It makes the world seem smaller but then again you don't want the producers to repeat the story.
***** Well that's because it's a continued version and not a remake. Legend of Korra was excellent also because it adds some elements that gives the old fans, including me, nostalgia
***** While how Korra was able to do that was a bit confusing, but you have to admit how the story would've progress if she had to learn all the 4 elements like Aang did. Besides, unlike Aang, the world wasn't in peril like it was with the Fire Nation...at least not until later on. And we did eventually know about the first Avatar and such.
i enjoyed korra, it's not as good as TLA, but TLA left some big shoes to fill. It was still nice to watch Korra instead of the other junk that's on TV today. I mean, class warfare, equality, industrilaztion, these are pretty big issues that the creators brought to the table
