It's so funny when the intro comes, the cartoon and the netflix series show different things related to what is being said and the movie is just like the text of the script.😂
@@_martian101 The failure of the movie was equally Paramount's fault. VFX cost a lot of money so to save money on converting a film into 3d they cut down a lot of movie footage and special effects. And we get left with weird dance moves that everyone does.
From worst to best Best: Avatar: The Last Airbender Above Average: Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender Worst: The Last Airbender Hmm I wonder what if in a different universe the Netflix show came out first then they made a cartoon of it how would everyone react, idk kinda like watching the Percy Jackson movies first thinking its good then reading the books.
bruh netflix adaptation is booming only because of the cartoon, the cartoon bring people together as it stole people's heart with fun story and absurd moments of the team avatar, and the soundtract is just perfect with the cartoon lore
What I like in the movie Zuko's intensity Katara's looks Princess Yue Nothing else What i like in the netflix series Faithfulness to the characters design Faithfulness to the story if not every cartoon scene is 100% there The aesthetics
@@ravendude0507 there's no absurd moments of team avatar in the netflix version which is a huge downgrade, the acting is awful and the character is not similar either to the original, the movie is worse in storytelling and race swap, the netflix is better for the fan but i won't call it faithfulness either, it could be better
Aesthetics is there, character design is almost there, story… not even close. Far too many crucial changes were made that have lasting implications on the direction of the next seasons.
I'm on episode 5 of the Netflix show and I seriously hate the internet for making me almost skip it. Y'all are actually just negative no matter what comes out these days. Piss poor adaptations in the past have left you all way too bitter and blinded by elitist criticisms that hold no real artistic understanding or integrity. The Netflix show is (surprisingly) incredibly well done, with a serious amount of passion and dedication to making a faithful retelling of the original cartoon. Sokka and Zuko are both perfectly cast, they not only are dead ringers for, but also act almost exactly like their cartoon counterparts. Honestly all the casting is near-perfect for me, only Aang is a bit rough at times, but I feel it's due to him being young and dealing with slightly stilted writing compared to every other character's lines. The writing and thoughtfulness in almost every scene otherwise are seriously nearly poetic and chock full of symbolism. The "Leaves From The Vine" song playing at key moments in Episode 4 was just a masterful cherry on top of the insanely good acting shown by Zuko and Iroh. My friend group and I, who are big fans of the OG cartoon, have all collectively agreed that it's hard to believe this was made by Netflix in any way. It's actually reaching Lord of the Rings level of quality in some regards, and I couldn't be happier with it. 9/10 across the board so far. My only hope is Toph is perfectly cast, too, because she's my favorite character. As for the 2010 movie... no. Just no. Actually no.
there are comments saying the movie is much better..the question is..did they watch it? I'm a fan of the Avatar the last airbender animation...I'm not gonna watch it again..its so sucks, still the netflix one much better..much much better..
Here you can see that the animation was part of the essence of the series. It definitely doesn't feel the same and in my opinion without the animation it loses 40% of what "Avatar" does "Avatar"
why can't I see some scenes in avatar 2010?, why are they disappearing and only having two comparisons in some scene of Avatar TLAB Netflix live action and original source?, then suddenly there will appear again in some timeline. sorry I haven't watched Avatar 2010 so I'm a bit confused.
No problem. You don’t see 2010 versions of those scenes because the movie didn’t adapt them. It’s shorter than both shows, so there are far fewer scenes I can make comparisons with.
@@AbhiOnCamera ohh, thanks, i didn't watch it because I'm busy on my work on that time and i almost forgot about that, well I'm One Piece Fan but i also like avatar original source including the legend of Korra.
The Last Airbender movie is just a different take on how satan was affecting the world of Avatar where satan doesn't try that steal the bending for itself like in the animation, but instead tries to get people to rely less on it. The current netflix series seems to imply that the bending is from satan only and some of the dialogue is so weird.
@@AbhiOnCamera You have to care about how satan operates in the real world, how it affects people's believes, and how Jesus and God actually fits into our lives. The show seems to mildly touch on this implying that Jesus actually helped Aang defeat Ozai, confirming that bending comes from God and that satan wanted people to bend through its' own means (i.e. there was a clearer depiction that there were people that wanted to honor God and those that wanted to honor satan). The Netflix series seems to imply that people honor the two sides of satan instead of there being any genuine reference to the living God. It also down plays the entircacies of how satanism is used today for certain individuals and how satan manipulates others.
@@eyhtwozed2606 Yes, it's just a theory but the higher-ups in the Fire Nation decided to "kill" the Air nomads in order to have bending be tied more so to God instead of satan after noticing what satan was doing to people in their own nation and in other parts of the world. Ozai wanted his son to stand up for what he (Zuko) believed was right instead of being easily swayed and Iroh wanted Zuko to be able to trust in the natural (even though Zuko doesn't fully know what that is yet).
@@AJOloyede-ed3ib Can i get some of what you're smoking? If anything it would be in reverse since the Air Nomads were a peaceful people and the fire nation were not.
Yeah The movie has good ost and yeah if u want a different cloth or visual you can like the movie but if u genuine think that the movie is better overall than the netflix series, then there is something wrong with there head
Okay let's be onest you guys were not complening in 2010 about the movie now that the is new one you are starting to pretend that you don't like the 2010 version and yet in 2010 it had millions of likes and 2010 didn't have enough realistic vfx effects like the air comparison the 2024 is more realistic and beautiful then so you see the reason
You honestly have no idea what you're talking about. TONS and I mean TONS of people (myself included) always thought the 2010 movie version was absolute garbage. People literally always made the joke, "There's no movie in ba sing sae." People hated the movie when it first came out. Before we knew that they were making a new series.
@@eddyjenkins001 yes, i watched it, the acting is horribly inconsistent and a few of the casting choices are horrendous (especially Azula). There is way too much expository dialogue that they use in a poor attempt to make up for all the character development and world building they skipped over, some of the makeup and costume design is tacky or just downright piss poor quality (Zuko’s scar and the fire nation armor). The characters hardly act like their originals, a lot of them sound like they don’t even want to be there
@@AgentMercer Copy more what some others ''critics'' have said, no identity at all in your message. Just another little whine baby that not everything is perfect, it's a solid 7,5-8/10 boi. They will learn of it in season 2/3, it will be better
@@drios9000 LMAO i ain’t copying shit, i am voicing my opinion, i watched that mediocre garbage, and that is what I saw. Keep licking Netflix’s taint like a good little boy
The Netflix live action is good it’s just a little bad because : katara doesn’t look like katara, sokka doesn’t act like sokka, and some of the people need to lose some weight 😅
