Hi Girish - Thank you for sharing these actionable video tutorials. They are very helpful. I am relatively new to Azure AVD and have few questions. Hope you will not mind answering. 1- As I am understanding from your videos- if one's infra is absolute cloud based, then Azure AD Domain Services is not needed. It's only required if one have a hybrid infrastructure. Is my understanding correct? 2- If one has to build a Multi Session Host pool AVD infra (on Azure cloud only) + FSLogix + AD + Intune - is there any need of using image or can everything be managed by Intune, including OS updates? Is there any role of the image to add any effectiveness for maintenance or any other purpose? 3- Also I came across an article about restricting Bitlocker on AVD with user profile on Azure file share Storage. We are planning to store the FSLogix file on Azure File Share Storage as NetApp is expensive. Do you have any recommendation with any workaround? Regards!
Glad you are liking videos !!! Even though there is no requirement of domain services for AVD you may still required to have it . For example if you have pooled env using msix app attach where you have to give ntfs permission on file storage or if you have legacy app requiring kerberos authentication. Managing images may not be required if using msix App attach. Managing multisession machines from intune is in preview so pls read limitations in it. For user profiles Premium fs is recommended but Enterprise customer are also using NetApp files for better performance.
stuck at login in to virtual machine , not sure which and what desktop client you used, tried assigning public ip to the vm and accessing via rdp , u1 u2 not able to login
Hi Girish, thank you for the video, it is great! I am having an issue logging in from a computer which is not AAD joined to the domain, I am logged into the Remote Desktop app fine, I can see the AVD VM in the subscribe list but when I click on it to login it wont accept the password. I have tried it on an AAD joined computer and it has the same issue, however, it works only if I change the login to use the pin instead of password. I presume that this is because I have MFA enabled on the user account which disables password access as it doesnt prompt for MFA when logging in with a password. Do you know if this is a limitation when you have MFA enabled on a user account?
@@mrparticle1 thanks for the comment. I have the correct IAM permissions, it doesn't work for username+password, it only for username+pin. If the IAM permissions were wrong it wouldn't work for username+pin
make sure to use the correct version Remote Desktop client installer, choosing the correct version for your device: Windows 64-bit (most common) Windows 32-bit Windows ARM64
@@GirishSharma hi thanks for responding..i was able to fix issue. I was trying to deploy vm to azure firewall network . I had created another vnet and now I am able to deploy AVD VM. Now i am working on how to login to avd device. I think , I need to download remote desktop application to connect to AvD device
@@discovery_globe17 The user name or password is incorrect? If you can't sign in and keep receiving an error message that says your credentials are incorrect, first make sure you're using the right credentials. If you keep seeing error messages, check to make sure you've fulfilled the following requirements: 1. Have you assigned the Virtual Machine User Login role-based access control (RBAC) permission to the virtual machine (VM) or resource group for each user? 2. Does your Conditional Access policy exclude multi-factor authentication requirements for the Azure Windows VM sign-in cloud application?
