man the good ol' days... i remember playing a backyard show with them in san pedro ca. must have been around late 2002/early 2003 or so. i just know it was before they blew up. i still have the shirt they gave me that has a guy on the back of it hardcore dancing hahaha. nothing can ever compare to this album. waking the fallen was alright, but it will never measure up to this one. none of the albums ever will. so much aggression and passion. oh well, i guess all good things come to an end.
I love all their music the old and the new, because Matts voice is so beautiful so the fact that he sings now and uses it more is awesome, however with the old songs, i do admit that the harder sort of instrumentals are more satisfying and, however there new shit is still fuckin' amazing and i have no doubt that their new album will be a massive success as well, I love this guys, always have and always will do a7x foREVer... R.I.P Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan :(
lol, it happened again at 1:35! It must have been a really bad strap because a stage manager had to get him a new one, but this has increased my respect for johnny even more, because when he started to play again, the song just sounded so much better and heavier. Keep it alive Johnny
The Rev puts many-a-drummer to shame with this song alone.. I mean GOD DAMMIT MAN! He's beating his drums brainless and this is only their first album!
@drummaxboi YES!!!! people don't understand that. a band should be liked for their skill/ talent/ style. if you like the new stuff, but not so much the old stuff, then you should praise them for moving forward and making improvements so to speak. it took ME a while to get into the harder old a7x stuff, but i got into it cuz i love the band.
@crazybastard6661 i know right its so sick!! i think i listen to the pre-view like 30 times lol i can't wait for the COD map packs to come out so i can listen to it while killing zombies.
@drummaxboi dude, i've been listening to them since there demo. i hate there new shit (exept for a select few songs) but i still respect them so much, just because someone says that there new stuff sux doesn't mean there a hater of the band, and they are still a really good band. I love Ax7 so don't be a hater to people who like the old sound and have an opinion on there new content. Sorry if this pisses you off alittle, but it was irritating me and had to say something. Cya Dude.
Actually Damon had a very short touring stint with them, if any, and Johnny skipped a few weeks of high school to tour with them on Warped. Just a friendly tip :P
@fausimo he didn't kill any thing, he just wanted to stop screaming. if you don't believe me go watch avenged sevenfold all excess, their producer even said it. Also matt is starting to do a little bit of more screaming, go listen to God Hates Us he screams the hell out of that song and also he screams live at times too.
@btbamftw yes it is true that he would have lost if voice if he kept screaming the way he did, UNLESS he got surgery to remove a blood vessel which he did do. if u need any prove pm me and ill send u a link to the video where he says it himself
its johnny. justin sane only did the tracks on the album. damon was the original bass player but never recorded the album. it sucks, he was a real cool guy when i met him.
U know, not too many people ever credit Johnny. I mean, u hear Syn and Zacky a lot so of course ur gonna say something about them. They're beasts! lol. But yea, did anyone realize how much this song changes when Johnny wasnt playing?! Wasnt nearly as good. So yea, of course Zacky and Syn are beasts, but so are Johnny and the Rev. No one ever really talks about them though. But yea, whole band is out of this world! Fuckin awesome! Favorite band right here. lol
ok. i love old a7x. love it. but i hate the people who say they sold out. yes, they got famous. yes they got rich. but ya know what- who gives a shit? a true fan would be happy that their favorite band gets success in all parts of the world. i like their new stuff too, just a different genre. M. Shadows even said before Waking the Fallen came out that he wanted to do one more album with screams and then another with just clean vocals. and look at how that turned out. people need to jus
he isnt wrong... matt shadows did break his vocal chords singing unholy confessions in a concert, he had to get sergury on his throat thats why he barely screams anymore
he said he wanted to make one more album that was screaming and singing. then go to just singing after sounding the 7th got popular... THEN he got the operation...
yeah lol:D but when he comes in with the bass it sounds effin great and I´m a electr. guitarist , I love bass, tired of them mean ass dudes saying bass ain´t important
