For me, that's why their latest album is much different than their album when jimmy still there. He is the Master mind that can think thousand miles in a second.
Kieran Holbrook the only album where the rev had an actual musical influence apart from drums is self-titled, so the stage is more like city of evil (like they've said themselves)
Remember that this song and Chapter Four and Afterlife and Almost Easy were entirely written by the Rev. He literally wrote those songs all by himself. Those are also some of the best and most well known Avenged Sevenfold songs out there. In fact, A Little Piece of Heaven is actually the best A7X song at this moment, according to users' votes on their website. I really do miss the Rev. He was the heart of A7X.
he didn't write a full song until this album. almost easy, afterlife, bromton cocktail and ALPOH. He then took on a significant amount of writing on nightmare. notably save me and fiction.
sometimes, I get jealous with this kind of people. they all really wild with all those tattoos and lifestyle yet very talented with their songs and music. me? I'm whether wild with no fucking achievements, or talented but a total nerd. there's no inbetween.
Try to write a song bro it helps dig into that deep realm of creative darkness to the point of feeling depressed but youre not just get that feeling and write
Content 69 even saying that brooks is better is debatable. The Rev knew the absolute perfect time to add double bass accents and in my opinion is as perfect of a drummer Avenged Sevenfold could ever have
guittar99 to be fair the riff at the beginning of the stage is one of the best metal riffs of all time aswell as the lyricism being spectacular. Easily in their top 5 best songs it definitely compares to alpoh
watching how this song was made only shows us how BRILLIANT it is. People in the orchestra, doing chorus, the piano mixed with rock and opera... Damn they made a wonderful piece of heaven all by themselves... it really blows my mind how the rev could create this entire song. Applause
EPIC!!!!! This song is the "epitome" of what song writing should be! This song alone puts Avenged Sevenfold at the top of my all time favorite. I wish they would make this song story into a dark play of some sort with all the characters and orchestration. Oh I wish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No doubt jimmy was really the one who really puts his heart onto this song, we xan see from his smile, his laugh, his scream, he was just a mastermind.
I was 11 years old listening to this while taking my bath, was never a big fan of metal but A7X has always had that melodic, instrumental hook that drew me in, and this song is so full of symphonies and complexity I always really appreciated it for that and it's still my favorite song from them, so glad I got to experience it live this month a decade later
I grew up in the lbc and everyone loved A7x. I moved to the oc for a couple months and everyone loved A7x. A couple years ago I moved to the same mountain range as Big Bear and everyone up here loves A7x too & I'm constantly getting compliments on my A7x merch. I love it. This band is great and I'm glad people realize it.
Love the song!! RIP Jimmy you are missed..so talented...im from across the world but your music is loved! Such a classic i still listen to it almost everyday. A7X thankyou.
Man who's chopping onions out here....but for real this song will always hold a special place in my heart. Such a masterpiece and the work behind both the Rev and Matt the passion for the completion of the song which had an influence on the rest of the guys to keep going. Really such a special fun song to hear and to see live. 😢 Missing you so much Rev. A mastermind gone.
God, I fucking love this song so much. With so many great Avenged Sevenfold hits on Rock Band, it's a damn shame that this isn't one of them. Though to be totally honest, I would be pretty damn shocked if this actually did make it in to the game.
Came here after watching a7x concert in indonesia last saturday, and this song was incredible, masterpiece from the rev. I still can't move on from watching them perform this song live 😭
WOW thank you so much for sharing this, little piece of heaven is my favorite song of theirs, and it makes me happy to know the string arrangements and horns weren't keyboard!
Always loved this song and A7X but never knew about this "Making of" video until my son mentioned it to me. This is one of those songs that will go down as an epic masterpiece. This generations Bohemian Rhapsody. The Rev (May he RIP) had talent beyond measure and this is an outstanding part of his legacy.
My love for avenged sevenfold started with this song, a friend at school showed me the a little piece of heave music video and I watched it 20 times more after that (maybe more) and know avenged is my favorite band. That was in 2012
This is my favorite a7x song and the story behind it just makes it better, I honestly believe that the rev had one of the greatest minds of our generation and the light you left remains but it's so hard to stay
