@@joeboxter3635 it will bappen. I watched once and planning to see it another two trips. Some My friends haven't watch it and planning this weekend. Still tickets so hard to get after 2 weeks.
@@j2174 Nope. Endgame alone is a big enough name to go on their resumè/CV and is the perfect way to end their time at Marvel. They can take their time choosing their next projects.
@@GlareBoxTV nope. Maybe they will have another Blockbuster at some point that relies on their name recognition but how has any actor faired outside of the MCU? None of them have exceptionally great careers.
Jacob Kawelo Well she's in lots of franchises. Also in Star Trek and Pirates. Her Hollywood resume is so cool and all those movies are actually good ones. I hope they don't kill her character in Avatar 2 or 3.
I feel like there will be a resurgence in interest for Endgame the closer we get to Spidey. Similar to how Cap Marvel did better the closer Endgame came to release!
true but by the time that movie comes out endgame will have made all its money & have lost so much screens & possible may not even be in theaters due to so much freaking movies coming out it's July were talking about here also cap marvel benefited from being a month lol
11 days for IW to make 1 billion. 11 days for EG to make 2 billion. Rest of IW's run took 1.04 billion. Endgame beating Avatar isn't too far-fetched...
^^Lol my thoughts exactly I think the new avatar flims if there on the same level as the first will probably be somewhere in the 1.2 - 1.6 billion range and parts 3 and 4 will just increase or decrease from there depending on the quality of the previous flim
Grace - we can't thank you enough for pointing out the optics of the MCU grossing so much money alongside the fact that so many Disney workers can't sustain themselves working for the Mouse House. Mad props for the MCU's success, and no one begrudges them what their purse brings in, but when they do that without sustaining the people who are the infrastructure of their industry....let's just say that's ugly.
@@Wired4Life2 exaclty people are forgetting james cameron literally built that movie from the ground up with his lightstorm entertainment production the only things disney has of avatar that would keep james tagged along with them is themeparks and the merchandising
@@GlareBoxTV jesus christ! Do you guys really not get the joke? Does Disney not profit from both Endgame and Avatar? Is it really that difficult a joke to understand?
THE AMERICAN PATRIOT it will. It already made 2.2 bil in only 11 days. The movie will be in theatres for a while, and rewatches are really common. I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually hits 4bil
@@wyldegi Everyone's rushing out to see it, but only a fraction of everyone who saw it opening and 2nd weekend will keep coming week to week. It would be incredible if i cracked 3 B but I wouldn't put my money on it
Kayla Cohn true, but there are also a lot of people who haven't even gotten the chance to see the movie yet, just because of the packed showings. I actually would put my money on 3bil
Saw endgame once. May watch one more time, than wait for the blu-ray and watch it 10 more times. That's what I did for Infinity War, and I love that move.
@@dustinrobbins7313 Amazing Spiderman 2 was my record as well. Saw it 7 times just for Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker, since it's the last time Emma Stone will portray Gwen Stacy. The movie was bad though. Endgame is my current record. 9 times done. Once more before it's out of theaters.
ya man if you look at admissions in itself titanic had about 128 million before the 3D re-launch its current total is 135 million to put that in perspective marvels top domestic only has about 76 million that's why hollyweird and their buzz media goons never account for inflation cuze the list literally remains undeterred making it pointless to brag about in fact if you account the highest gross movies list into inflation avatar and force awakens are the only movies of the 21st century to be in the top 20
So? Tickets were like $.25 in the 1930's so isn't Gone With The Wind's $400 million a bigger deal? Once you start adjusting for inflation it throws a ton of wrinkles into things.
Titanic is definitely a bigger hit on all fronts. Including the fact it is only a movie and not something hyped for 10 entire years by 22 previous films. Titanic didn´t have China either, nor Imax and all the pshit. Titanic was a huge organic hit that people from all types loved. It was also an event in mainstream music at the same time too. It was just bigger. I have not even mentioned the inflation part...
Exactly, what Endgame did in the box office is no where near as impressive what Titanic did in the box office. Titanic came out in the 90's, when 1) movie tickets weren't even $10 yet 2) the market expansion was nothing like it is today 3) Titanic didnt have a fan base and hype around it like Endgame. And Titanic still managed to make $1.8 billion close to $2 billion, let that sink in for a sec!! No movie around the time even came close of making a billion.
i wouldve loved to have gone multiple times, but only saw it once. Tickets are 20 bucks a pop in my location. Had to resort to the bootleg the second time around. :D
I wouldn't call the Russo brothers peers with James Cameron... James made 2 nonsequel movies and beat 2 billion with them. Russo bros jumped in midway on a 22 movies saga and only beat James with the final movie... James is still the genius above them.
I’ve seen it 3 times and actually have a bunch of homies who haven’t seen it yet. My dad (who got me into comics) hasn’t seen it either. Me and like 7 of my homies are going on Friday to see it and I’m taking my dad next Sunday. RIP Avatar.
Go Go Go! This movie deserves to be seen in IMAX, it adds so much to the movie, but in particuar to the final battle! I still go fangirl mode when Cap picks up you know who!!!
Then Avatar cheated because it was pretty much the first 3D movie that was worth it and people didn’t really care about the movie but rather the technology. I mean seriously, do you remember the names of the protagonists?
My wife and I have seen it 3 times so far. We're not huge Marvel fanatics, but it was just that good. We had to see it that many times to get the emotional closure we needed. Probably won't see it again though unless it goes to the dollar theatres. The third time we saw it was actually at a drive-in as part of a double feature with Shazam! Can you imagine that 5-hour experience?
It's probably gonna do well but not as well as the first one. $1 billion at most. There's just so much more competition this time round and people don't really care about the movie anymore. But its Cameron so it'll still be higher than what most movies can only dream of making
@@TheRaptor22f yeah no, Avatar 2 will be lucky to make upwards of 800 million. They waited too long to make the sequel and now all the hype is gone. Let's be honest though, the first one wasn't even a good movie, people just wanted to see the visuals. Endgame is the best of both worlds: a great movie with good visuals, a great cast, and a story that neatly wraps up 11 years of interconnected story telling. There is no way Avatar 2 beats that.
1. Avatar premiered almost 10 years ago so it's a franchise that's going nowhere 2. The cast is different 3. Depends on how well promoted is the movie Apart of that I don't think it will get to 2 billion
@@thematrixhasyou3521 nobody give a fuck for avatar xd the reason it made that money was the technology at the time - and lets say that isnt solid marketing anymore xd
Yeah, but *"Titanic"* was re-released in the cinemas in 3D to add to its total. If *"Endgame"* overthrows *"Avatar"* $2.7billion haul, that'll be impressive.
therocklobman 28 that’s what I say lol it didn’t cheat so much as it was sent again to the big screen, if that’s the case in 20 Years endgame should do the same lol but nah it’ll crack 3 billion I bet my life on it
@@gioo1q178 so you agree that none of the actors have anything really happening outside of the MCU? Other than maybe Benedict Cumberbatch. And Zoe Saldana has done okay with a few franchises. I don't expect Chris Pratt to have much of a career outside of MCU and Jurassic Park. Seems he has 1 movie each left and then he may face a cliffs edge.
I have seen it 5 times already and have scheduled two more viewings with friends and family. However, I expect that I will see it a couple more times after that in a month when school lets out!
@@venomsymbiote725 if it holds good enough this upcoming weekend against detective pikachu then it's possible if not then marvel will just have to settle with no.2 spot
@@ninetiesrelic2975 I do agree. Avatar with inflation is over 3 billion with Gone with the Wind at 3.7 billion. But it's only been like 10 days. And people are going to rewatch the movie multiple times. In my country literally, every theatre is booked. Endgame is playing the entire day. And that's considering its a 3hr film due to which at least one or two shows get cut every day compared to your regular movie.
@@DefMM123 cant say whether 4DX for Endgame is better yet as still haven't seen it in 4DX. But the movie was shot on IMAX cameras so is amazing in that format
I don't have the money to do something like that but I'd like to, although for me three or four times would be enough. I actually would like to wait till the DVD comes out, then watch all the Avengers all over again a couple of times, and then watch some movies in the MCU I skipped cause didnt interest me.
Hi Grace, Was Wondering what the record for 2nd week at the international and also worldwide box offices are? Cannot seem to find them? Love your movie maths videos
It’s taken 10 years of movie build up , multiple movies, a huge celeb cast to do this. Why are you guys surprised. It’s not even a fair comparison. Disclaimer loved the movie.
@Mohd Amerul Aidil some respect dude. He made the First billion dollar movie. He made 2.6 billion when 1 billion was Crazy money. He ruled the box office for over 20 years. Ton of Oscars and without being a franchise
Now the next benchmark for Disney Marvel is to hand overv their franchise as many Oscars as possible. That trend has started with Black Panther this year. Devil Mouse alert. 😊🐭😈
Great update Grace. Loved your Titanic reference at the beginning of the video. I've seen Endgame twice. I am done with Endgame until it hits streaming & blu-ray later this year. I am ready to move on to other movies. I am gonna check out detective Pikachu this upcoming weekend. Also I don't think Endgame will beat Avatar's box office. Also I think most people have seen endgame by now.
I've only seen Endgame once so far and will be going again on Mother's Day. I'd like to see it a 3rd time but not sure if I'll be able to. My son is already hesitant about seeing it a 2nd time because he got very emotional the 1st time.
According to Google right now, Gone with the Winds adjusted gross box office is currently 3.44 billion. Also remember, there are a few major expected released coming in the next couple weeks. It would be amazing if endgame could top it, but let's wait and see for right now.
I doubt it. But we'll see. I'm pretty sure EndGame will get a bump up in tickets sales before Spider-Man comes out. People usually go see the last marvel movie before the new one comes out to refresh their memory.
Hey Grace I love your videos and was wondering if you can do a special video detailing the rise of avatar week by week and how it got to that number. I could Google it but i love your explanations and editing. Also compare it to endgame see if it has a chance to catch up.
I'm in the think of finals season for college so I've HAD to wait until next week to start my re-watching of Endgame. Def watching at least two more times.
