John got very emotional and his voice began to crack when mentioning how much Schnepp would’ve loved the final hour of Endgame was very touching and sincere.

I really like John, but damn the guy can ramble forever about the same thing.

I just watched it. It was beautiful. I can't describe the emotions I felt. It was the best movie I have ever experienced. I laughed. I cried (and I never cry). And when it was over there was a standing ovation from the entire audience (which I have never seen any audience do in real life.)

i love that john didnt let the final act cloud the problems or criticisms he had in the first two acts, i appreciate your honesty, and i cannot wait to see the film sunday, from the kid who desperately waited for my aunt and uncle to bring me a dvd copy of SPIDER-MAN when it released, to experiencing the dark knight in 2008 in south dakota on a family trip, to watching infinity war with the love of my life last year, my whole comic book life has brought me to this moment. and as 24 year old man, who is without question a boy at heart with his spiderman t shirt underneath his dress shirt. i cannot wait to bring the journey to an unreal end

Cinemas in my area are RARELY sold out. For endgame, MULTIPLE rooms of the big cinema all showed endgame and ALL sold out to the last seat (even the disabled seats, so absolutely all possible).

To me, a simple judge on whether an action movie work is "whether the early part of the film helped to build up the climax/final fight". So I think Robert asked the key question and we really need to wait until John gave a valid response on this before commenting his reaction on the movie.

I respect your opinion, but I'm confused on how a first act is just "fine" with pros and cons and then end with "the best comicbook ending of all time" the have a review of it's just "ok" math kinda doesn't add up with that logic. I've never seen a movie with an average beginning and an amazing ending then said the movie was just "ok". But I'll make my own verdict this Friday

One thing I notice about the initial Twitter reactions to EG. . . While they're practically unanimous in their praise, I've yet to see a single tweet singling out a particular performance. With BP it was Michael B Jordan & Letitia Wright. With IW it was Josh Brolin. With CM it was Ben Mendelsohn & Samuel L Jackson. With EG, it's all about "culmination" this & "culmination" that.

Mr. Campea I think its important to note that just because they were hugging and laughing doesn't mean they didn't have drama. But I know from experience that at a point even if you don't like each other you can play nice.

John's comments are interesting and honest. If he doesn't know something as well as he thinks he should, he will straight up say so, and not start making things up. I might not agree always with his opinion, but that's fine. He explains his thought process intelligently and I can understand his arguments for a point he's making. He does not come across as the sole expert that everybody needs to agree with. I watch his show because of interesting discussion or views I hadn't thought of before. Trolls will attack my comments sometimes just because I express an opinion and trigger them. Too bad. You know the saying, "don't feed the troll". It's not worth wasting time to respond to. Imagine if John had to respond to every hostile troll here, and forced to prove his point. He'd never get anything done during the day!

John had unrealistic expectations. I know i'm going to like it because i ecpect it to be equal or slightly less equal to Infinty War in terms of quality. This is what happens when spend a whole year hyping a film up to be the greatest thing ever. I'm in going into Endgame with relastic expectations. This is why nitpicking a film is a fools endeavour.

Very good point. I agree: The first two hours felt a bit weird. Kinda cool, kinda funny, but wasn't epic or impressive in any kind, more like usual business, too much usual for this finale. But the last hour holy shit that nailed it. I never FELT silence in a room so intense before and i heard mutiple ppl cry. One dude next to me hold one piece of nachos for 30 minutes in his hand. I think he forgot to put it in his mouth.

I think if first two acts were as good as the last hour than maybe the last hour hasn't impact as much as it is right now on you. I didn't see the movie but i will enjoy if first 2 hours are just avengers weeping and planning. I don't know what didn't work for you.

For those that haven't watched the full video, here's what the numbers mean: 0% means zero chance of dying during Battle of Winterfell. 100% means definitely dies during Battle of Winterfell. I'll try to be a definitive guesser and try to say 0% or 100% as much as I can for the 8 characters discussed. Then next week I can weep at how wrong I was here (just kidding lol) These numbers are for surviving the Battle of Winterfell, not for the entire season. Jon Snow: 0% Daenerys Targaryen: 0% Sansa: 0% Arya: 100% (this will be the shocking death - but there is a significant "BUT!" here though. Can explain in another post. Robert you say Arya survives Winterfell for sure... IT'S ON DUDE!!!!) Jamie: 0% (I really think the show has been oversuggesting his chances of death) Brienne: 0% (I think she's the "newer, younger, more beautiful someone" to take away what Cersei really values. I can elaborate more in other video) Tyrion: 0% Tormund: 100% (but I hope I'm wrong here) Other characters not in the graphic: Jorah: 0% (his survival rate shot up in my book after receiving the Tarly family's Valerian sword) Davos: 0% Theon: 100% (there is such a Boromir vibe: Bran with be to Merry/Pippen as Theon is to Boromir). Also, she needs to give verbal abuse to each wight as they are defeated. Dolorous Edd: 100% Gray Worm: 0% Tough one... the Unsullied are going to suffer heavy casualties, but let's say the show was trying to bait us with the "I love you" trope (like with Hank Schrader in Breaking Bad), but the trope doesn't happen. Is the show smart enough to write like that though? I guess that's the real question. If they follow through with the trope "Missandei, we'll travel back happily ever after!", then 100% he dies. My 0% is predicated on the trope not happening. Samwell: 0% - to write the chronicles at the end of the show Bran: 0% - to co-author chronicles with Samwell, is a living cheatsheet for Samwell ("Uhh how did Arya spend her night before the Battle for Winterfell?" Bran: "hold my drink") Night King: 0% (it's not live or die for him, I'm speculating a 3rd way that people haven't really mentioned yet) Army of the Dead: 100% finished. The living win. Night's Watch: The Battle for Dawn is over and Night King no longer a threat. No more need for the Night's Watch.
