After my fourth viewing I’ve decided that this is a defining movie in cinematic history

I've never known so many sold out theatres even going into the 3rd day in my local cinemas.

$308-312, the 3hr run time hurts but having theaters running 24hr will help.

This is what star wars was decades ago. The star wars of this generation. One that will be talked about for centuries. One that will be mimicked by many despite its nitpicky nature. This is coming from a person who hated Marvel because of its loud af hype train. This is coming from a person who watched the MCU in just two weeks before screen time. This movie captured my heart which, for years, was full of hate.

Infinity War had "only" $39M previews but still easily beat TFA OW. Marvel films simply are less frontloaded than Star Wars films.

I dont know how it is in the theaters in the U.S now, but in my country i have never seen anything like this. There is lines going outside the cinemas, all showings for the full weekend are fully booked. It seems like it will crush infinity war here.

There’s more screenings on Friday Saturday and Sunday then there was on Thursday

I know my theater added at least 3 more showings for that Thursday, and my friend told me his amc did the same

There are reports coming in that Friday is looking between 140-150m for the whole day , that would mean an 80 ish million Friday discounting previews. If those early estimates hold I think it hits that ridiculous 300 million number

I can honestly say I've seen Endgame. And I want to see it again already. I haven't had that feeling for a movie in a long time. I think it definitely has potential to be much bigger than anyone expected.

IW thur preview was 39M and OW was 258M. That means thur preview was abt 15% of total OW sales. If the 60M that Endgame earned on thur is only 15% of it's OW total then the OW it will make is 396M. Obviously that's an over estimation but i think it means Endgame has some wiggle room here.

I really want The Rise of Skywalker to be 3 hours or so. I just love long movies i guess.

After watching endgame I'm not interested in box office numbers because mcu make this move only for the marvel fans.

I saw it opening showing Thursday night, have Saturday night (tonight) tickets, Monday evening tickets and next Friday night tickets. And every time I try buy tickets it’s hard to get seats. I’m saying it now. $350+ million Edit: One theater has showings (not exaggerating) EVERY FIVE MINUTES. 60 showings in a DAY!

Why not compare to Infinity war because infinity war had a lower opening Thursday that star wars but had a higher opening weekend so its pointless comparing to star wars

John you forgot that Star Wars is more front loaded then marvel on opening weekends

Already did 300m in the foreign box office alone, and that does not even include the Friday yet. Overall box office will possibly be beyond 1b in the opening weekend alone. Domestic numbers are of the past, you need to look at total box office numbers as majority cash comes in from the foreign box office.

A 3 million dollar boost on a 3hr movie when people have to go to work and school the next day, is impressive.

Dont spoil the movie. Someone in my maths class today shoutued out the ending and the teacher was raging. He was sent out if class for it. I already knew the spoiler cause i looked it up myself what happens even though ive not seen it. But i would NEVER spoil it.

the only way they top the OG6 is to throw in xmen and fantastic 4 into the crew. I think reed richards is a good character. A genius like tony stark. Isn't really popular, just like how iron man wasnt popular before the movies. And if they finaly do fantastic 4 justice, im confident the next phase will be even better. Hopefully they dont get politcal too.

The World Box Office Numbers for Endgame so far will is leading to a 1 Billion Worldwide weekend gross ticket sales, the only thing that will prevent this moving from being the higest grossing movie of all time, is a 3 hour run time, that might put some people off for a return viewing. Endgame is so good it deserves the title of highest grossing movie ever, the long work was put in too cultivating this Marvel Universe with 22 films over 11 years, begaining with Ironman & ending with Endgame, with the higest rotten tomatoes MCU Movie Score of a 96% tied with only Black Panther. It will be a shame if it doesn't beat Avitar as the the Highest Grossing Movie Of All Time when it's all said and done. Robert Downey Jr had set & elevated the MCU Movie acting standards, Endgame is the best acting from any cast from top to bottom in Any Movie not only in a MCU Movie. Endgame deserves Oscar consideration for best Fx, Sound, Movie, Writing, Directing and Acting, Joey A.

Doubt that it will hit 300 million but in think it's possible. The 3 hour runtime will hold it back from hitting 300 mil. That extra 20 mins per showing removes at the very minimum one viewing per theater. I went to see the movie last night and the place I went to had 9 theaters total and 7 were playing Endgame. Extrapolate that over an entire day and those 20 extra minutes can easily equal another showing per theater. This will be the reason why the movie doesn't hit 300 million this weekend. And why 3 billion is out of reach. The movie is worth hitting those milestones but we will probably never see another 3 hour finale like this again as the board of directors will kill this type of "love letter to devoted fans" from affecting their bottom line in the future.

I cannot be the only one who was disappointed to see the very last comment in the super chat John read. (This was in the last stream on Friday) It kind of spoiled who was gonna die. The guy said “As a Cap fan I’ve never been happier, and I am iron man”. Am I really the only one who saw this? Don’t get me wrong, I was still on the edge of my seat throughout all of the final act, but this stupid comment was always going to be in the back of my head. Let me ask you guys, if you would have seen a comment like this , would it have spoiled the movie for you?

Final battle was half arsed. so many avengers i wanted to gang up on thanos yet they had no plan. Most of them never even tried. People cried?? They must cry at everything.
