Bringing back the Russo Brothers is the logical way. While Marvel Studios is at it, bring back Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely to write the films.
If you’re gonna bring back the team, bring back the team. They need Christopher Markus and Steven McFeely- what made those movies great was the collaboration between them and the Russos
As a fan I'm all for it, bring them back. I believe that with Winter Soldier they added some level of seriousness that the MCU needed, and sadly they have lost. So think these guys are necessary in a certain way. I have faith that IF they return then these movies can be something very special
Having the Russo Bros direct Avengers 5 & 6 would be great, but don't forget that Marcus & Mcfeely were the writers for the Winter Soldier, Infinity War, and Endgame. The Russo's brought to life what that writing team give heart to.
There are two more components that have been overlooked, the two screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen mcFeely to me would be the icing on the cake , bring them back to
@@DJZ64X But… but I thought the Russos did? Many say it was their idea to take Hulk there? Lol, hilarious how many put the blame on different people on whatever they don’t like in Marvel 🥱
The Russos have talked about wanting to do Secret Wars for years. They have a plan. No question. Probably a few different variations of the plan that they have discussed for a long while. They have said as much. And if these leaks are true about Avengers 5 actually being Avengers vs Xmen that could lead into Secret Wars in such a neat way. If true. Any bit of it. Awesome. I trust in them.
I asked my brother-in-law if he wanted to join me and my wife to see Deadpool. His response: He's been offered the chance with 3 other people already. I think its going to be huge.
I think the next Cap movie, Shang Chi and whatever other movies come out prior to Avengers will give us a clearer picture as to who are official Avengers will be. I hope.
Honestly, the bigger problem and harder shoes to fill are the screenwriters. Making a decent story with so many characters nearly broke Joss Whedon and took two writers and two directors to fill last time.
You don't seem to understand that film's have to be about characters - not video game drones - who just respawn and stay the same. Professor Hulk evolved to become the best of both worlds. They are not going to revert Hulk back, which is what you want. This is a very old issue for toxic fans which Hulk Writer Peter David spoke out 20 years ago. It's toxic fans who destroyed the Hulk because they won't allow character to grow, which means there really is no story no matter how much Hulk Smashes.
Your speculation about the conversation between Feige and the Russo brothers makes no sense, as Michael Waldron has supposedly already submitted multiple drafts of Avengers 5/6. So the Russos will have to settle for an existing script unless they start from scratch, which they probably wouldn't have time to do.
@@johncampea Allegedly about Avengers 5, but not about Avengers Secret Wars. But none of that is definitely confirmed yet. Maybe you have other information.
I'd be shocked if they took the same route, you think after 5 years they haven't seen how fans felt about Hulk? I'm confident they'll right that wrong.
I doubt it. Fans live in a toxic bubble, where a few idiots scream loud and think they represent the world. Objectively the only success of the Banner and Hulk character in Cinema are Avengers 1, Infinity War, Thor Ragnork, and Endgame. The thing you like - such as cartoon Huk fighting gamma irradiated French Poodles, or Abomination---- flopped hard. Audiences and critics did not like it and it made no money. Hulk Smash's small self entitled fan base who demand that Hulk-only-smash and nothing more..... can't force directors to make films to meet their frankly moronic needs.
I don’t know, I mean in terms of directors they were hands down the best thing to ever happen to the MCU, because they made 4 of the greatest MCU movies ever made, and so the possibility of getting some of that magic back would be cool, but at the same time with the kind of bumpy streak that the MCU has had for the past 4 or 5 years there is a part of me that feels like this could just be Marvel trying to sloppily resalvage the stuff that worked for them in the past, it’s the same reason as to why I’m opposed to bringing Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans back, it reminds me of a joke the Nostalgia Critic made in 1 of his videos where he changes his wall color back to what he had originally and you hear him impersonating his fans going “ *Groan* Trying to recapture the glory days, it’s kinda pathetic” That’s how I feel, that Marvel has had so many failures lately that they’re just trying to recreate what made them good before, to me I don’t think they need Joe and Anthony Russo back, what they need is a *NEW* Joe and Anthony Russo, a new director/directors who can make some truly outstanding movies for Marvel and become a consistent anchor for a lot of their projects, I don’t know who that would be but trust me, they’re out there, Marvel just needs to find them
I am calling it now if the Russo's sign on we get a end credit scene for Brave and The Bold. Sam is walking away from the president after the battle. Pres tells him he can't leave he is holding property of the government hand over the shield. Sam tells him its not their property its rightful owner is Steve and Steve entrusted it to him and he won't make the mistake of giving it up a second time. The President insist, his voice gets deep his eyes glow red, he is about to hulk out. In the dark we hear, "Try It, go on." He hesitates and Bruce comes in to the light behind him in walks Bucky and Groot. The President says this is not over and leaves. They tell Sam if he is going to do this he has to level up. He says, "I am one step ahead of you. Second end credit, they are a Quinn jet, the Wakanda music plays, on the ground they can see Yalana, She Hulk and Shuri. when the doors open one person they could not see from the air appears. Old man Steven, end credits.
Brought them back too late. After all the misses Marvel put out these last 3 years, bringing them back for the finale’s doesn’t mean much. Can it be enjoyable? Sure. But do we expect them to turn everything around at the end? No lol. After SW might be cool, but personally for me, this isn’t exciting right now.
The russo brothers are great, but its worth noting most of their favourited movies were written by the same guys. If only the Russo's return will the story/script be as good? That's the question. I hope so. Definitely a great step in the right direction.
I don't want Chris Evans and RDJ to return. Their stories are told and their characters got PERFECT send-offs. Don't ruin it. Bringing them back reeks of desperation. Tobey and Andrew in NWH was different. They hadn't had their proper endings prior to coming back.
@@XxXDestroyerThat' true if the rest of the Marvel projects until then are mostly successes. (Deadpool & Wolverine will probably be good for Feige.) But the fact that all the really successful movies from Phases 4-6 were by established Marvel movie directors from Phases 1-3 or older Spider-Man movies shows that they are more important for the successes than Feige.
@@summertyme5748 There's been a clear link between the quality of Melissa McCarthy comedies when directed by Paul Feig (good) vs. ones directed by others (bad).
If the Russo brothers are announced to come back it will not move my meter whatsoever. I need a few good movies to start caring again. The mcu is a rudderless ship in my opinion right now.
@rashad0026 I don't think it reeks of desperation, they make quality movies when they work with marvel and it's good marketing. But much they've lost alot of the audience so it'd be a good idea.
Guessing everyone here is gonna act like they werent saying Marvel didnt need the Russos, and that avengers 3 and 4 would have been great without them?
It's just logical to bring them back. But we still don't have a definitive direction like we've had in the past. What are we doing? Is this still the multiverse saga? Who's the villain?
Russo bro are legendary in the mcu and they have the best marvel movies under their name but they totally destroyed hulk and made him a b* itch, hopefully they can redeem that
i totally agree with you 100-percent JOHN,,,,,i believe it's a DONE DEAL & the RUSSO'S are officially back On-board with the MCU because this is a case where the MCU needs The RUSSO'S & The RUSSO'S need The MCU!!!!
I see this brought up all the time, and I feel if anyone is going to blame Russo's for Hulk that Feige also deserves equal blame because he signed off on it. He could have easily said no, and to rewrite it differently and chose not to.
Josh Horowitz interview with the russo brothers, they have not been talking to marvel at all. they 4 movie project. it could take them 10 years before they are ready.
It's not like he was just offered it recently, he's been signed on to do one for years but has been busy doing his films with Ryan and can only just now start concentrating on it. I'm also sure some of the films in development were pitched to them not offers they made. But they do need to pull the plug on a few and concentrate on just getting A film out. They have 3 films in development from directors that fans have been asking to be let go for years. While 2 out of the other 3 are very, very far out
Said the same thing they don't let this out unless it's a done deal, but we'll see shortly. Only other person I'd want is Coogler cause he builds a whole world and characters etc and it all shows up on screen.
Ultimate pie in the sky idea that will never happen in a billion years, but imagine if they say “Ladies and Gentlemen, the director of Avengers 4, Steven Spielberg.” Just imagine how that would go down
It has been speculated that they are simply handling legal paperwork through their respective lawyers from Disney and the Russo Brothers' production company.
This came more like desperation. The Russos were helped by Markus & McFeely, who wrote all 3 Captain America and Thor 2, and a better structured MCU. Current MCU is shapeless. And honestly, what they need are fresh talents anyway. REAL talents, not the hacks they got from Rick & Morty or whatever. This is the new Saga, the Russos are the old one.
Since red hulk is introduced in captain American movie and possible the thunderbolts they should do avengers world War hulk the avengers team vs the hulks try something that's never been done then move on from there to the next avengers film
I would have liked to see ANY other director in the role, even from the Marvel "family" like Ryan Coogler, Jonn Watts, Taika Watiti, or even Scott Derrickson. Nevertheless, I understand that Marvel needs a win so this is predictable but safe.
