Welcome to our MARVEL Reaction series! Meg has seen next to nothing of the Marvel movies, and Caleb has seen a bit more, and read more of the comics! Most of this series will be first time reactions, but we will let you know at the beginning of each video specifically.

the scene where Bruce says "Its like i was made for this" is a call back/reference to the scene in Avengers 1 where Bruce and Tony are in the lab on the flying aircraft carrier. They are talking about the Hulk preventing Bruce from committing suicide i think, and Tony says something to the effect of "maybe this happened to you for a reason". Bruce sees being the Hulk as a curse and Tony was spinning it to suggest it might have a purpose or that Bruce can use the curse as a sort of gift to make the world a better place.

The point with Thanos is the one we saw from Infinity War was the older more mature version who was mostly calm and level headed and didn't kill the Avengers or the Guardians when he could've because he wasn't there to kill them but to complete his mission. He didn't look for them and he wouldn't have even bothered with them if they weren't the last line of defense. Except Vision maybe since he had a stone in his head. Whereas Endgame Thanos is the younger more ruthless version who has no problem killing them or the entire universe just to create a new one from scratch since they were the only ones who could undo his plan. Which they did. Basically like with Nebula and Gamora. Two different versions of the same characters.
@WhiteFangofWar

@quiett6191

I don't know how Thanos's species ages, lets say he's a thousand years old. In that case a decade would be a mere blip in the length of his life. So, he already is old and mature. I think @Martin Li's got it. He keeps up a facade of respect when he considers an opponent not a threat, but when theres a chance they can threaten his plans he drops the act, and the gloves come off.

I'm so sad about Tony but tbh i think that is the best ending and send off for the character. That makes so much sense for his character Pepper said it best "but would you be able to rest?" And the answer is no, he would never be able to rest when he knows he could do something. So him dying, while heartbreaking, was the most sensible action for him. Now he can rest, knowing he won.

Its pretty confusing but whenever they travel to the past, its a whole different universe. So Loki escaping with the tesseract is a different Loki. The Loki that died in Infinity War still happened in the main timeline and was not affected by what the other Loki did because he came from a different universe. Same with Gamorra who also came from a different universe. That’s why Steve had to go back and return the stones because it will affect those different universes and alter their timelines drastically. The Loki series will address what happened to the other Loki who stole the tesseract.
@j-freethegeek
@j-freethegeek Год назад
The time travel thing can be confusing. The way I can best describe it is in the “main” MCU timeline: - Going back into the past didn’t change anything that has happened throughout the course of the movies. Hulk tried to explain it to Scott and Rhodes as well as The Ancient One. - Our Loki died at the hands of Thanos. - That Thanos was decapitated. Past/alternate timeline Thanos was dusted. - Natasha is gone. There’s no bringing her back. - Our Gamora is gone. An alternate timeline version now exists in our world.

@@lewisroderick6019 It's weird how different people experience the same event or thing differently. I don't think Phase 4 was shaky at all. Phase 4 ran the gamut between the very down to earth (Hawkeye, FatWS), the magic and weird (WandaVision, Dr Strange), the new (Ms Marvel), the old (Loki), the sad (Wakanda Forever), the funny (She-Hulk), and all of the stuff in between. So... you are correct. There is one more Spider-Man movie that is technically phase 3 but this was pretty much the end. Phase 4 is more about checking what happened with people after all this and how it affected them (Wanda, Loki, Falcon, Spider-Man, pretty much everyone you know so far). They will also introduce a bunch of new people. As a result it will feel more disjointed even though some of them will be moving to the next big thing. They also are going to start experimenting with different styles and formats (like the TV shows), which some people like and others don't. It won't feel the same as the build up to Infinity War/End Game though. It is much more broad and disjointed... but it will get more focused in Phase 5 (which just started for us).

I don't think Thanos is selfish or at least he wasn't selfish. That Thanos is dead. The Thanos that we are dealing with at the end of this battle is an earlier, younger Thanos. A Thanos that hasn't been changed by the journey yet. This Thanos hasn't lost Gomorrah and this Thanos definitely wouldn't have apologized to Nebula. The one that we met in Infinity War by that time really saw himself as a benefactor. He was doing something for the greater good of the entire universe. This guy yeah, he's a full on narcissist

Watching Endgame in Theaters was a once in a lifetime expereince. We Germans are not known for being loud in the cinema, but even we went bonkers during the portal scene and the long awaited "Avengers Assemble" and in the end you could only hear quiet sniffles and nothing else. What I really loved was the endcredit "scene" which you only knew to appreciate if you have watched the first Iron Man movie. Ending Endgame with the sound of Tony hammering away in that cave was a stroke of genius. Ending it like everything began was soo good. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time, forget that I have watched the movie, just to experience it again for the first time, even if I would be a mental wreck for the next few days again.

Actually Tobey's Spiderman is what set the ball rolling cause super hero movies were flops and people didn't go watch, or they were received poorly. Which is why Marvel solved off rights to characters like Spiderman. Also another reason is Tobeys spiderman was supposed to be the Spiderman for MCU so technically it started with him before Sony told Marvel too bad so sad. They had written scripts for many things with him. Peter was supposed to appear in The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2 was gonna talk about the events of Spiderman 2, there's a deleted Iron Man 1 scene where Fury mentions Spiderman to Tony, and a lot more.

While the pairing of Nat and Clint going to retrieve the Soul Stone works from a character point of view, it was a pretty stupid decision by the Avengers. The Soul Stone was the Stone they knew the least about - all they knew was that it was on an alien planet and that Gamora died there, but they had no idea what dangers they would actually face there, so who did they send? The two characters with no superpowers whatsoever 🤦‍♂️

I know a bunch of comments have explained time travel in this movie already but I think using a river as a metaphor makes a little more sense. So think of all of the movies from the first Iron Man to the end of Endgame as a flowing river. That river takes that one path that it has flowed since the beginning. Going back up the river, to say The Avengers movie, and messing with stuff there, doesn't suddenly erase or change the rivers course. That same rover is there unchanged and flowing from Iron Man to Endgame exactly like the movies have shown. What does happen however, is that the changes in The Avengers, make a little stream run off from the river that grows into it's own river with it's own course and events. The main river is still there, and going back to it, nothing has changed. But that little stream now exists off to the side doing it's own thing. So it's exactly like Bruce says. Going back to the past doesn't change your future (the river) because the past you traveled to has become your future (the stream). It's difficult to wrap your head around at first but once it clicks it makes perfect sense.

This ending is why you have never seen Peggy's husband in any of her pictures of her family. They couldn't chance changing the events between them and endgame. Peggy said that she met her husband because of Steve and that was the closest we got to a hint about what her past really was.

doesn't that break the rule that time traveling doesn't change your timeline?

@@Aeronixable but did they want to take that chance? And did they know it wouldn't have changed anything? What if call saw a picture of him and Peggy and thought that he wouldn't make any wrong decisions and was killed before finding out about how time travel really worked? He didn't know time travel until end game, so between his revival and end game he'd think he was unbeatable sand what could have happened?
@Aeronixable
@Aeronixable Год назад
@@craiglortie8483 who is they? What I'm saying is that they established in the same movie that if you time travel you can't change your present/future because you're not really going back into your timeline, you are going back into another timeline in another branch of your universe. So when Cap went back and stayed he stayed in another timeline meaning he didn't live his life with the Peggy we know/knew. Also by that logic makes no sense that he was in that timeline waiting for them as an old man(unless he met someone in the other "universe" that sent him back)

@darkceptor44

Your point about not knowing who's actually dead is valid, time travel is something that every movie/show struggles to explain, sometimes they even adapt it to make more sense with their plot, in this case (and it's not a spoiler because Banner explains in this movie) they are going with multiverse theory, which says that when you go back in time and change something it doesn't change your "present" but instead makes a separate new universe which from that point forward keeps going with whatever changed, so in a way every time they took something from that "past" they technically killed someone because it could've cascaded into someone not having a way to defend themselves etc. But then at the end we are given a different type of time travel where cap goes back to that universe and stays there, and it somehow affected their present, the way they did time travel is basically a nice fan service which I don't think anyone minds.

In the first movie of MCU wich is iron man Yinsen made a sacrifice and told tony not to waste it the second thing you need to Remeber is when Captain America told tony that he is not the one to make sacrifice move and he showde him that he changed completly, the same with doctor strange in infinity war he knew that if they want to win he have to make a sacrifice becouse strange would never give the stone to Thanos. And also important thing is that spiderman will never know that the reason why tony even started working on time travelling was seeing his photo.
