When I watched Endgame with my brother, he was totally lost. We we're at the scene with Hawkeye and Black Widow (for the soul stone) and he asked me who "this guy" was. I'm not exactly in the same boat as this guy because I watched Infinity War and Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2 before Endgame but I will tell you I saw Civil War, then Winter Soldier, then the Avengers (didn't realize it was backwards, didn't really care) and it was an experience. That was me as well when Infinity Way came to Netflix. I knew Marvel had been interweaving their characters and stories but I didn't realize how carefully crafted the over-arching story was. Once I realized how extremely unique the Snap was as a plot device and how daring it was to end such a gigantic blockbuster with a defeat to end all defeats for the protagonists, I was hooked. I have to admit, I havent gone back watch the earlier movies yet (basically Civil War and everything before it which did make Endgame challenging during some parts) but now I appreciate what Marvel has accomplished and I will make sure not to miss a movie going forward into the next phase.

That kinda happened w me. The first MCU movie I watched was Civil War and I had a small understanding of everything, bcs I recognized who the Avengers were, and I didn't really like it back then. And then some time passes by and Infinity War is out, so I watch it w my family coz everyone is freaking out at how "it's the most ambitious crossover event in history" and at that point, I START to get why everyone were such sluts for these movies lmao and I start getting to know the characters and shit. Finally I watch endgame after months of just being a lowkey fan and that was it for me, right as I stepped out the cinema I watched all the MCU movies from Iron Man to Ragranok in one sitting 😂😂
