Got to say - Brolin did a marvelous job... Thanos was not boring, or whatever - every-time he was on screen it was enjoyable.. Shout out to the writers and RUSSO'S!!
Mohd Amerul Aidil Even though a villain being relatable shouldn’t matter . Would you wanna relate to a mass murderer coming after you and your family ?
+Lonnie Dearing What the hell are you talking about? Not relatable as in killing people but as in he has emotions and has reasons for his actions makes him relatable. Not just "I want all the power." He is multi dimensional and not everything is black and white like lord of the rings or Star Wars. So it does matter if the villain is relatable because it makes a much better character
+monokhem I'm talking as in good and evil idiot. As in evil is just evil and good is just good. The bad guys are evil just for the sake of being evil. They want destruction but they never really explain from their point of f view. I'm not literally talking about colours, have you never heard that expression?
+monokhem fuck you, I am talking about their emotions and their feelings, not really talking that much about their motives. I like lotr but never read the books. I never said they didn't have motives but that doesn't change anything. The orcs don't wish for green places, if they said that then it was in the book. Cause all I got out of is that the orcs are just a bunch of psychopaths that were elves before. The wraiths were tricked and enslaved but now they are just purely evil and obey everything Sauron says to do. Should I say black and gray then? Would that satisfy you? I ain't talking about the good guys of lotr either. Practically half the story is about being influenced by evil and their flaws and all that shit but for the bad guys, do they show goodness in them? No and if they do show me when. Does Sauron show any emotion of any kind? No. Can you symphqysize with him? No. We are talking about the the main villains here, not the damn side characters like the wraiths.
+monokhem So at the end of the day it is black and grey. That's just so fucking dumb to say. The bad guys are purely selfish and even if they are enslaved, they are still bad. They got no emotions and are not hesitant to kill anyone. Their motives are also purely selfish and don't think it will do anyone good except for themselves. The good guys want the betterment for everyone and some characters are seduced by evil and do evil shit. But majority of them seem to be pure but with character flaws which doesn't make them evil. I ain't complaining about lotr and wouldn't change a thing about it but it sure is fucking black and white. J.R.R Tolkein did say the story was heavily influenced by the bible. Like God vs the devil. Hmmm, I wonder if that is black and white?
Maybe to some people its just motion capture and it's not real "acting" but josh really brought thanos to life. Best villian since the joker in dark knight
I don't think is the best villian for me the best and the cruelest is Kilgrave of Jessica Jones that dude is mean rude and will do everything to fuck you up
Wow. Josh Brolin was in the Goonies when he was a kid. What growth. What a career. Thanos is truly a dynamic character and Brolin brought so much heart and reality to him.
That stuff he says at the end of the interview is spot on and he absolutely delivered in his performance. Thanos does things in this movie that you will HATE. But Thanos is also charismatic, honorable on certain levels, and although walking down a misguided path, you can kinda see his points. Brolin NAILED IT.
It was an amazing movie! As I was quite critical of the Last Jedi. Infinity Wars was light years beyond anything Rian Johnson could pull off. Congrats to the whole acting team, crew, staff, directors, writers! Outstanding job guys, well done. Well done! Standing ovation.
Daniel Lim key word "his voice" but when ever I see something cgi or computer generated for a creature/alien they look nothing like the actor. That's not the case here they look kinda similar
It's not voice acting, it's motion capture. They use his face, body movements, and voice and then add the layers of the character onto that. It looks like him because it is him.
Still the big brother from Goonies he even looked older back in1985 Josh is number #1 favorite actor despite his transgressions and hitting my one of my other favorite actress Diane lane and his drunken incident down south while filming W H Geroge Bush jr. bio pic film has humbled himself I can tell right on Josh have much respect for you as An actor you have learned the era of your ways I think and you seem not to be a bad guy?! But you one Hell of an actor and you will nail Nathan Summers aka Cable aka Scott Summers and Madylene priors Future Soldier offspring! Much appreciation to you and long legendary career for you were a child actor that is more Successful than any other! Congrats sir keep the legacy going! Also have much respect for your father! James!!
Would of been a funny touch if as Thanos he used his Goonies line of "I'm going to hit you so hard that when you wake up your clothes will be out of fashion". Or another charcter uses it on him.
I'm dead first he asked what it was like to wear all that makeup, and I was thinking he's asking about deadpool 2. But then he said Avengers infinity war is based on a true story lmfao, idk how Josh didn't laugh in his face.
I ask now after seeing why Thanos is doing what he is...what happened to his family if his people were starving to death?? big stuff coming about Thanos I believe.
Not sure what it is about Brolin, but I don't find him likeable when he does interviews. I've seen multiple interviews of him, and not just for IW, and there's just something about him that doesn't sit well with me. He's amazing as Thanos so that's my positive comment about him and LOVED him in Goonies.
Mmmm I don't know I feel like he's Thanos in real life but not that dangerous. Don't wanna be judgey but he doesn't seem like the cool type. Kinda strict and it's this way or the high way... Eh
