Guys it's obvious ASF that Thanos doesn't consider Captain a challenge, he's simply surprised and impressed by his will. Keep in mind this dude held a helicopter down. Thanos isn't struggling, he's just interested in having to apply more effort than he expected. Capt. is done though, it's just a curiosity and a measurement happening there. If you guys are Thanos fans you know he's a genius in the Marvel universe on the highest level, up with Doctor Doom and Reed Richards. He's a thinker, that's what you're seeing. He's coming face to face with a human whose power of will is unrivaled in the universe, he knows he's seeing something special, and he is... that's what makes the scene so epic.

If you look at thanos face when cap is trying his hardest to not get killed instantly, you can see he is annoyed and frustrated at captain America for being strong than he expected.

When dude in the Spidey mask went for his dap up and dude in the Thanos shirt didn't even notice... I felt that 😅

Captain America is strong enough to hold thanos off for a couple seconds. It's not like thanos jumped full strength. He reached out to grab cap. And cap caught his gauntlet. Thanos is merely in awe of a human being that strong. That's all. Remember guys touching an infinity stone will kill humans. Cap is holding the gauntlet here. Thanos is shocked.

At first it looks off putting for Cap to hold Thanos back (and best believe I’ll be ranting if that’s truly the case) but I said in Discord that if Thanos is grimacing and it’s all really an act to let Cap think he fighting him back on equal ground (like the saying “you’re playing with your food” which is a trait Thanos probably possesses) and then 1 second later he smiles and smacks Cap so he goes flying through the forest hitting multiple trees and gets wrecked, I think that scene will work. Otherwise besides that scene, I like the trailer and thought it was lit 🔥!

There are a lot of things that could be in that Cap Scene Jody bruh 🤙🏼 1. Cap could have the power stone in his back pocket on him enhancing his strength. 2. I’m thinking it could be vision in disguise as cap, the strength struggle would make sense then 3. Could be trailer tricks with Thanos playing with cap easy, and it’s there homage from the Infinity War comic of Caps speech to Thanos

Thanos wasn't struggling at all. He was surprised and smirking.

Remember everybody, these scenes are out of sequence/pace (obviously). Cap may have held Thanos off for literally .005 seconds and Cap may be getting pushed back with his heels in the dirt before being backhanded. Also Thanos with that last expression may be in a totally different scene and context.

For those that know the comic knows that Cap goes up against Thanos after which Thanos bodies him which they are recreating here. You can even see on Thanos' face that he's more surprised and insulted that Cap would even try to go against him and underestimated Caps strength. I'd also say for those quick to jump to conclusions and say naw Cap can't do this and that just wait for the movie to come out and maybe read the comic I think it was Infinity Gauntlet.

Hey guys, I agree 100% that cap should not be able to stand toe to toe against Thanos, let alone be able to stop a punch from him like that, but that scene there Thanos went at Cap with a OPEN fist so I believe he’s not using full power. As someone else previously stated that scene with Cap, is from the comics..... its a good touch for them to throw in. And hes actually making a surprised expression as in hes surprised that cap had the strength that he did but could easily destroy him.

Here's my theory in the beginning thanos fucks up the ship Thor, Hulk, and Loki are on at some point he grabs Thor by the head and Loki gives the tersaract to Thanos in exchange for Thors life and one of the black order members kill Loki. Cap has the soul stone and Thanos reaches out to grab him and Cap uses all his might to hold him back but Thanos just looks at him shocked that has just doesn't give in. Thor, Cap, and Iron man will fight Thanos and idk if all 3 of them will die or Cap risks his life for Stark, or Stark risks his life for Cap

I agree, that while Doctor Strange has power he's not as practiced as say Thor in combat. Thor has fought legit armies of people. If Thor really wanted to straight up fight Doctor Strange he'd probably win. Doctor Strange uses gestures to activate his powers, all it takes is breaking his hands. It's happened before.

Iron man just has a warped sense of heroics when it comes to his decisions. Everything he does he believes is in the best interests of the team and the world. Ever since avengers 1 he's been trying everything possible to prevent his nightmares from coming true. So in my eyes I can't blame him for the sokovia accords he put the weight of all the lives lost on his shoulders as well as the safety of the team.

I think the only thing that's up with that scene with Cap and Thanos, is.....Cap is trying out, testing is brand new Vibrainum Sheilds that he got in Wakanda. I think it's like two arms Sheilds that are made for his arms, made out if Vibrainum....and he just thought that that was the perfect time to test out that the shit out if that.....on Thanos, himself.

Even Spiderman switches sides. There's also a reason that he is honored and respected by even Marvel's cosmic beings for his bravery after his death.

Always love the comic book nerds that get angry and complain based on what a character is in the comics. The MCU has NEVER burdened itself with a 1:1 representation of these characters from the comics, or their power level. But even beyond that, Thanos wasn't using any stones when Steve was holding him back. This is made even funnier by the finished film, when we now know three seconds later Thanos casually knocks out Cap with one punch.

Without knowing the context of the Thanos / Captain American scene, you can't really make a judgement call on what is taking place. Cap could be getting a power boost (some speculate the soul stone is helping Cap) or Thanos could be toying with him. I think the Russo Brothers know for a fact that Thanos is stronger than Cap, so I don't see a problem with the last scene. There is a story behind the struggle between the two characters. Just my opinion.
