Aventador Replica Project - Part 18 Wing Flaps, Side Vents and walk around

Cut out openings for wing flaps. Multiple attempts to function properly. Cut out side vents to make a separate piece that would allow me to cover with carbon fiber in the future. Also added a walk around with it re-assembled.

Many of similar actuators have built-in limit switches - this means you could avoid the "momentary" aspect of the switch, just "UP" or "DOWN" - no need to hold the switch for the duration, also you could automate this function with speed and a relay, as the original likely does. Great work Dale!

It's coming along good. If it was me though I would take out those large pistons for the wings. And just replace with simple windscreen wiper motors a lot faster and a lot quieter

This is absolutely phenomenal. The only critique I would offer is that the body side looks "thick" in front / on top of the rear wheels. The bodywork drops away behind the rear wheel and looks nicely tailored in that way- but the rear of the tire is exposed, while the body overhangs the tire elsewhere ( over the tire and in front of the tire). Something they need to resolve in the body design.

The body is a sculpted body and was not splashed from OEM. There will be slight differences

@@lambobuilder I understand, but it affects the stance- the way in which the car visually "sits" on the wheels. Crucial for a car like this.

4 1/2" x 1" grade 8 NF thread with 1" castle nut and two 1" flat washers to hold bearing in place. Torqued to 103#

how did u map out the chassis? did u make the chassis in a software? If so, may i be able to see the chassis design? Thank you for reading!

Chassis started out based on NAERC plans that were for a Diablo. Did not work for Aventador. Had to heavily modify to fit the body. Plans are not in software. I would suggest looking at Charley Strickland's monocoque chassis. lambobuilder.com/chassis/monocoqueChassis.pdf
