Cadence sensors on e-bikes are like an on and off switch and the torque that Aventon uses are like a dimmer switch, much much better for me.

Hey I have a question: how do you put it in throttle only mode? And what gear should I have it in when it’s in throttle mode?

You can use the throttle in any mode (eco, tour, sport, turbo) and it will get you up to 20mph

Can I ride with a passenger with the panniers attached? I know some panniers allow kids to put their feet inside while riding.

Yes, as long as they can still put there feet on the foot platforms

Those panniers are in the way, YOU CANNOT HAVE A PASSENGER WITH THE STOCK PANNIERS MOUNTED !

@@Jan-pj7gn the passenger can put their feet inside the panniers. I also had to remove the plastic clips and just use the velcro.

I was close to getting the Lectric. Seems they have some pretty frame weld issues, I've been hearing some bad stories on the FB owners group.

@@christianbeaupre7989 I'm surprised by that. I've owned 4 different bikes by them. All solid. Keep in mind every brand has a group dedicated to complaints. It's bound to happen that a few hundred bad bikes go out. Many people bitch and moan instead of being polite and brands ignore them. Happens with every brand.

I have one, it is super wonky, to the point it’s unsafe to ride, with 11 pounds in the front rack and 38 pounds in the back rack. Scary, won’t let anyone else use it. Disappointing for sure. no way it can carry 420 pounds safely, no way. Kids on the back?

I’m surprised, as every other review that I’ve seen have remarked how stable it is, one had it laden with 2 large cases of bottled water plus a largish folded carpet and something in a front basket. I was planning on getting one tomorrow as I’m a fan of Aventon bikes, but after reading your experience now I’m not so sure, do you think that your bike is an anomaly?

I purchased this bike on June 12 (my birthday 😊). The bike is amazing. I installed the abound hand rails and seat pad for my 6 year old son to ride with me. We've been riding every day since, and he has a blast riding with me. I've had no issues with him riding in the back seat. The bike is well built! So, your comment is definitely confusing to me. Have you ever actually ridden the bike?
