I just took delivery of a Pace 500.2 due in part to your coverage Mike, I love the bike and really loved the promotion that Aventon currently has. I was tempted to go with the torque sensorversion however I decided for my first ebike the .2 version was just perfect. Had a warrantee issue and Aventon was on it without delay, great company!! Thanks for the work that you do Mike, really enjoy your videos!

I have the original 500, may get v3 when it goes on sale. I like a torque sensor for stop and go traffic and to save on battery.

Since they are both being offered still, the real question is - is the .3 worth $400 more than the .2 ($1299 vs $1699). I sprang for the .3 to get the torque sensor. No regrets.

It really comes down to torque sensor versus cadence sensor. Folks looking for more exercise would choose The .3 others with some kind of knee or hip issue would most likely prefer the .2

I live in a hilly area and find that the cadence sensor is better. With the torque sensor, hitting a hill when I'm already tired is kind of miserable.

I live in a hilly area and find the cadence sensor works better. Yes the torque sensor feels more natural. But when I am tired and then hit a hill the torque sensor can be pretty miserable. In contrast, hitting a hill when tired with a cadence sensor is much easier. I'm trading in my torque sensor commuter for the 500.2 specifically because it has a torque sensor (no joint or health issues). @@mikerochester

I switch to this mirror some time ago I used to get the metal ones but they would loosen up over time these have been working great for me and they're cheaper. amzn.to/3VNq9nL

Hey Mike, great video. I’m having a hard time deciding between getting the pace 500.3 and the mokwheel asphalt. I’m most concerned with the feel/responsiveness/smoothness of the torque sensors and which one feels most natural. Between aventon’s pace 500.3 and mokwheel’s asphalt, which one do you prefer?

Wow that's a really tough decision. Both have there advantage. The pace 500.3 is always a solid choice. I felt very comfortable and the torque sensor was very smooth and responsive As well. The Mokwheel goes 28 mph throttle only which I was surprised about also includes fenders and back rack. Although you can alway purchase these separately from Aventon. Will the PAS still continue to assist you if you try to pedal over 28mph ( example up to 32mph) in the pace 500.3 torque sensor style? thanks 🚲🛵🏍

I have not actually tested that but wouldn't say it's going to stop assisting at 28 top speed.

I think it would be fine. Just keep in mind there's no suspension.

Can you still pedal the v2 like a normal bike and get some fitness? Or does the cadence sensor make it so it isnt driveable like a normal bike@@mikerochester
