Yes!!! He's such a F2P friendly unit too with stuff like this. That free broken keel / Eff res was a major selling point for me especially since I lack the cleanse from other units!

I have almost never used the preservation path, (I only have bailu and lynx lol). So I'm excited to go all in and use him there!

Bring a decent team to get you through the first plane, gather those preservation blessings, and once you have some good defensive blessings (like regression from destruction path or any blessing that increases shield strength) and a 3 star quake blessing, swap to a full preservation team (aka fire TB, March, and a healer) and watch the enemies get shredded on auto every time they even think of touching one of your indestructible, self replicating shields.

It's hard to say a LC is better than another character. I love topaz so I would recommend her over his LC. Especially because she's so good for any Follow up attacker!

You could swap out fire trailblazer for aventurine tbh, and can probably run another nihility instead of bailu. Something like Acheron, Pela, AV, gunaifen. If need more healing then, can swap bailu back in. Aventurine shields are very strong and should be more than enough! The trick will be getting the debuffs for Acheron stacks!

I think he's gonna be pretty dang defensive even with the hybrid - so I'd start with that. But if it isn't enough , can always switch to full def. Could even use pioneer as by rid with that comp!

Diabolical way to boost crit damage for the whole team yet I think it would work wonders for the whole follow up attack team

So far I only have e1 bailu as a limited sustain, so I feel the pain. Robin will probably be WAY too good, as the other harmony characters are.

short answer: aventurine not healing is not a problem at al since his shields are hella tanky. not only that, the current meta is in favor of shields (sam boss & the monkey enemy). shields are only a problem for you if you're a blade main long answer: while im not the youtuber, shields are an alternative way of sustaining which have already proved themselves with geppard. just like healing, it both has its advantages and its drawbacks. the strenght in shields is that they work exactly like overcapped hp. say your character has 3k hp, and your stackable aventurine shield also has 3k, then this would be the exact same as your character literally having 6k hp, which is literally double their hp. this makes your character WAY less likely to get one-shots, compared to healing where you cant heal over max hp. the only inconvenient of shields, is that if your shield lose its uptime, you are much more vulnerable, this is why shielders need team-wide shields, high frequency to reapply shields, and big shields. this makes march a very lackluster sustain late game, while her shields are big, they're only single target leaving literally 3/4 of your team vulnerable (unless you sacrifice all your skill points which defeats the purpose of a sustain). this makes fire trailblaze also rather on the weak side, since their shield is extremely weak and can break down easily. so far, the only reliable shielder we've had is geppie, though he has issues. not only is he slow af, his shield is gated behind his ult, but he also has no way of countering debuffs/crowd controls (aside from tanking them all for ur team), and brings 0 offensive utility to your team. all of this gets fixed by aventurine. aventurine's sustain solely relies on his skill and followup (the ult can play a part in it but its not necessary), he has better scalings, a whole 50% teamwide effect res to counter ALL debuffs, and he has a fua (his ult debuff is also an offensive utility but its very negligble since the extra cdmg received is low). so aventurine not healing is not a problem at all, since most of your characters will always be close to full health when being shielded, and even if they aren't, as long as you keep uptime on the shield, they literally will never die. shields are only an issue if you want to play blade

Sure! As the above comment said - was pretty much on the money! From using that story version of aventurine , and since his shields scale very well with his Defense - they are extremely tanky! Not only this, since he has those really nice Eff Res buffs for the team, you (most of the time) won't have to worry about CC! Bottom line, since the skill is the best way to get shields vs a geppy ult, there shouldn't be any issue with no heals! :)

Shield and life are pretty much the same thing - they serve the same purpose of absorbing damage after all. So creating shield is kind of the same thing as healing, but with the upside of not being capped by Max HP.

Depends on the content I would say! Both will be good for different scenarios. Like I still really want FX for the crit rate and such !

Aventurine is better for survivability, youll know when you compare both in swarm, gg, etc
