Human trafficking is a reality: Asian girls are enslaved in suburban massage parlors; domestic workers toil like slaves in suburban homes; girls in a Montreal subway station are lured into prostitution; Vancouver gangs recruit Honduran boys to sell drugs. Featuring candid interviews with victims, witnesses and perpetrators, Avenue Zero weaves a spellbinding portrait of a dark and sinister trade flourishing in the shadows of the law.

Any person that traffics children or anyone should be in prison for life. What those children go through is disgusting and no child should ever have to go through child rape, abuse , torture and murder. Ever !

@@2CanSam1000 Absolutely right. The fact that the authorities ignore these attrocities is beyond frustration.We need to as humans stand up to the authorities and force them to do something rather than sweep it under the carpet. If a 100,000 people took to the streets in protest they would have to act. Its been happening here in the UK for years now and nothing is done about it. There's a documentary called the r*pe of Britain that highlights this. The people affected by this have a lifetime of pain and yet the authorities ignore it. This is a global issue and should go viral so that governments wake up and act.

what a world indeed, this can get very very sad and makes everything in the world look so dark. But it will end, and judgment will be passed by God, even against those who harm kids sexually or physically. Matthew 18:6 “If anyone causes one of these little ones those who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea" Let us remember God and look to Jesus for discernment on all things.

Because many are unwilling to focus on prevention. Many modern countries are following the model to privatize everything, which often results in corruption. In some states officials have been funnelling young offenders into correctional facilities to boost their bottom line. When it’s more profitable to let people suffer, then prevention is then avoided.

It's because they don't have the strength to fight back or get away. It's easier to break their spirits. They are also easier to train. It's the same reason why 40 year olds date barely legal young adults. You can but them a coach bag or pay for one expensive restaurant and they think your amazing. As long as you treat them on occasion they will accept the mistreatment. It's all about control.

So I live in Canada. But I live on the east coast, not the west. The maritimes. Personally, I’m very much into knowing these horrific things and sharing the things most people like to pretend don’t happen and go on living their regular lives like they’re in a bubble. But, even being someone who recognizes that these are facts, and if we don’t bring awareness to them then it’s not gonna stop, I still have a hard time believing it’s happening here in my country. Don’t get me wrong. I KNOW damn well it is. But I think it’s that stigma attached to Canada. Like it’s so great, the people are so nice, the health care is great, best place in the entire world to live… no. It is just that. A stigma. The grass is NOT greener on the other side. And when I say other side, I’m referring to whatever border you’re about to cross. Bad people are everywhere.

You can't blame just the fathers. You have to see where it went wrong. How can you blame of father that might be deceased and not blame the mother who might have dated a man who used her to get to her daughter. That's what happened to my friend. Her mother was more about her pleasure then paying attention to the red flags that her boyfriend gave off. And when my friend told her mother. She kicked her out. Blamed her. 15 years old. Didn't even care. She got a fake ID and went to work at a local strip club and she was beaten up and even *@ped there as well. I live in San Diego and a girl was just rescued because she ran away. Nothing was wrong with the father or mother. She ran away because her parents didn't want her to date a boy. Guess what? That boy trafficked her.

The same arrogant attitude, as people commit the suicide because of the need of "attention", actually helps the "business going on". Those victims don't do it, because they need attention. But because abuse will make them addicted, it will become as a drug for them in this situation, person gets addicted to it and do not see the way out. And if she or he gets out, they will have withdrawal symptoms, exactly as with drugs or alcohol. And to hear that pregnant girl goes to jail in the end, not pims or clients, is actually very good illustration and result of our "Welcome to the rape club" attitude, which we still see on the 21. century from the ICC to the common gentelmen's meetings poses. I think situation will change, when you start to handle prostitution as a "rape", because actually that's what it is. But in our society, when the crime is too wide, we start to jail or fix or deal with victims. Not with criminals. Start to fix the criminals, and the victims will heal themselves.

All is written in Révélations Last book of the Bible, chanter 18, the list of what is sold or bought, bodies and souls as well. All is comming to its end, God himself will clean all the tears. Psalm 102: 20,21 God listens to the cries . His will is to be all saved to enter in eternal life with Him. So repent, be baptised in the name of Jésus-Christ, in water , for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the Holy Spirit. Jésus is coming back . The Day of the judgement is near. Get ready to meet your Creator ! Blessings +++!!!

That’s so sad about native Indian lady…but sadly this is not unique to Vancouver but all over Canada. You don’t have to just look at Vancouver, but anywhere. First Nation people generally live on reserves, not in the city within their own community where non natives aren’t allowed to live. But alcoholism and drugs are rampant in reserves and within their community even without outside interference. It’s even sadder because they’re the most privileged people in Canada, they don’t have to pay tax and can go to school for free any time they like even during adulthood, they can cross borders between Canada and the US freely. I had several Native Indian friends during school in Canada and they went to school for free in college. One guy failed the course so many times that year and he attended the same classes for the third time I was taking trying to pass the program. Now they may have a limit on how many times they can attend the same program in post secondary institution, but First Nation people are very privileged but affected the most; highest number of people affected by alcoholism and drug additions. And there aren’t many South American illegals in Vancouver now. But drugs are rampant on East Hastings still, people shooting up drugs in public I saw them many times when I drove on Hastings. Ironically West Hastings have many brand name shops and the West and East Hastings are drastically different even though they’re on the same street.

What are you talking about? Over half of Canada's First Nation's population lives off reserve and pay taxes. I've never lived on one. I grew up with privileged white kids who never took student loans like I did. Sounds like you were educated at the dinner table.

Focusing on women as per usual, but never talking about MALE victims. 👎👎👎
@azraeditz0
@azraeditz0 2 года назад
About 4.3 million people are trapped in human trafficking, 71% are female while 29% are male. I’m guessing in this case it’s mostly if not all women. They do actually talk about the males in the documentary. The males aren’t exploited for their body the way women are. Yet they’re there. There’s multiple mentions about males doing drugs and earning money for their family. Males just as much a victim as females in this world

Think about it, it is more difficult to get men to confess their problems, let alone agree to be interviewed and/or appear on camera. In any case, my heart goes out to the men, warm hugs, and best wishes for a better life.
