I remember seeing or hearing someone saying that Dullscythe sounded like a song trying to be a song, but not knowing how or where to begin, and it learning over the course of the track time until it flourishes into something beautiful in the end, like the song itself is a sentient being learning how to exist.
Dullscythe's my favorite song in the whole album I went through a journey with it From hate, to just not understanding it, to somewhat enjoying it, and, finally, to it becoming my favorite song
Someone in the official music video of this track compared it to an art block. They even included time-stamps for each moment while having art block. Fucking pog.
The first time I listened to Dullscythe I was dumbfounded literally because I knew exactly what the song was trying to accomplish and do and I adored the artistic/meta narrative of it. It fits in so perfectly with the rest of the album despite creating something new, unexpected, and magnificent.
