Man, you need so much willpower to survive that movie and come out a whole human being, when I left I was broken and crying and so happy it hurt in a good way. ❤ Barbie and Ken.
what creeps me out about this character is that he will treat you badly no matter how you react to whats he's saying or what relation you have to him, you literally can't win, ever 😂
Eh, heh, surely you could understand that there is no state of victory, as victory implies reward or competition. The fact you were able to bang out a message on this site is honestly a miracle.
@@rinoz47 The fact that you immediately proposed that there IS no competition when encountering those (like the man in the youtube short) obviously open to debate proves how much of a plebian narrow-minded homo sapien you are. Not to mention there will be vague but present awards when it comes to achieving happiness in relationships, no matter how broad these circumstances are. So yes, there will be a guaranteed victory, but the occurrence of it happening is quite rare - this can be shown with others finally lashing out at the Redditor and stumping him. So yes, there is a state of victory. Heh, what would I expect from a plebian who has a username that sounds similar to a Rhinocerotidae? (Rhino if your simple brain was scrambling, of course). I still can't believe a hypocrite like you thought you had the matter-of-fact smug upper hand, it's quite pathetic.
I suppose the only opposition I have towards OP's comment is 1) you can win, just a slim chance. 2) There can be certain relations that stump him, like his own reflected facade 3) The laughing emoji is the pinnocle of humanity's disaster.
Genuinely believes people are gonna pop up with answers if you ask them like as if they're on those quiz TV shows (without revision, which many of those shows do involve even) lmao
@colbymcgrath6421 Obviously, your intelligence quotient can best be described as "deficient". This is made painfully apparent by your infantile use of emojis instead of the written word to articulate basic sentiments that even a remedial student such as yourself should have learned to spell in elementary school. Whilst. Thrice.
She could’ve dropped to her knees and went for his belt and he still would’ve said some shit like “Wow, what a cliche! A woman who thinks coital actions make up for being unable to pay her half of a Red Robin dinner for two. Looks like the mediocre fries aren’t the only thing ‘bottomless’ around here.” 😂
I really have to remind myself every single second he’s just acting he’s just acting this is not a real life scenario & he doesn’t deserve to be punched squarely in his face.
@@vokkera6995Isn’t the one about the “inventor of the atomic bomb” also wrong too? She said the a-bomb, not nuclear fission itself. Ig he worked with a team though and it wasn’t just him, it seems both are wrong. I might be though.
Can you do more of the Redditor vs Redditor battles? the only thing better than normal people putting up with redditors is seeing them go against their own
Don't worry he'll end up ghosting the date halfway through the movie because he can't handle her having emotional reactions to what's happening in the movie
It's the squint, the smug attitude about everything, and lack of eye contact that absolutely piss me off to no end. I keep reminding myself that it's all an act lmao
I would love to see spin-off series for "The Average Redditor"! Like the average "won't shut up about being childfree" redditor, the average "brings American politics into everything" redditor, the average "makes everything sexual" redditor, etc.!
Cf Redditor: “I couldn’t help but notice you have the last roblox mystery figure. I don’t suppose you would let me have it instead as I am completing my collection for this series” The mom: “Sorry, I promised my boy I’d get him one since he’s been doing so good in school” Cf Redditor: “you could get any other toy, I fail to see why it has to be a roblox mystery figure of this particular series” The mom: “well, he plays roblox and likes the toys and collecting the items to wear on his little character” Redditor: “your little goblin doesn’t need it as much as I do” Mom: “excuse me!?” Redditor: “you breeders are all so entitled, your goblin is just going to be as entitled and- *video ends*
The narcissism of this guy when he's undermining the woman just because she mispronounces "Oppenheimer" almost makes me want to punch the screen of my monitor. Good job, my man.
the way she was reacting politely/ was actually interested in the piece of information he was giving but hes still needlessly rude, spot on nksjsncsjkncsjbc
I needed help with something one time and mistakenly turned to reddit, and I swear to god the responses I got were exactly like this guy. Instead of offering advice or help everyone was just talking down to me like I'm the most stupid person to ever exist. I never went back on reddit. That was my first and last time lol.
Depends on the subreddit; r/Turtles and r/Accordions have been so good to me, but even scrolling through the comments on a popular AskReddit or AITAH can give me actual psychic damage.
This girl is the same girl that dated Brian the 30 year old. Average redditor was the guy she dated right before Brian and after this date, she went searching for the complete opposite just to feel something Now her self esteem is non-existent and her villain Era has begun. THIS IS WHERE CAITLIN REILLY COMES IN OMFG MAKE THIS HAPPEN PLEASE
@@sabsain2399and redditors would be right. Age is absolutely not a determiner in how "capable" or "mature" someone is, so an 18 year old could be infinitely more "mature" or "capable" than a 30 year old. To "infantalize" is to treat someone as a child or deny someone's maturity. This not only prevents people from maturing, but it also sets people up for failure as they arent able to get real life experience, as they are barred from everything on the assumption that age and maturity are dependent on each other, which is wrong and immoral. The amount of brain cells youd need to lack to make this comment is embarrassing to say the least.
@@tonyisnotdeadno one is "barring" 18 year olds from dating weird old losers: we're trying to teach them not to. Obviously someone can be immature at any age but to say someone with a Ten Year Age Gap isn't going to *normally* be more capable, mature, and independent than someone Ten Years Younger Than Them is absolutely bs and You, Yes You, Are the kind of people who should not have children, probably are a danger to Anyone who is under your watch and influence, and you should be required to self identify yourself and beliefs irl (and with a qualified therapist) so we can all decide if we want to be near you or not.
Crossing my fingers that this girl's humility and patience somehow rubs off on him and makes him realize he doesn't need to be such a smug prick all the time.
She should have come back with a retort indicating that he clearly didn't understand the metaphorical aspects and overarching societal commentary within Barbie, which demonstrate a fascinating take on post-modern materialism and the notion of the philosophical "self", a la Nietzsche's later work
probably the video of his that’s hardest to actually conceptualize meeting irl. average redditor is usually spot on, but for this one i just can’t imagine him getting to the stage of actually going to the movies with another living human, let alone a girl.
@@figmentoffairies From experience yes 😅 I have a history of that. I dated a redditor/4chan dweller. I think I had a moment of "I can fix him." And "He just needs a safe person and some love." Don't do it!
If half of these Redditors used their "superior, unrivalled, otherworldly Big Chungus intellect" for something useful, they might actually contribute something to society. Instead they use it to insult other Big Chungi for 18 hours a day.
00:36 I love how he'll look to whichever way lets him sound like he's of superior intellect or more right than someone hes talking with; this is too perfect, quintessential online-expert.
This is like the only girl that should be nice to him an enjoy his fun facts, yet he is still rude to her and treats her as way below him whilst acting like he doesn't want her around
i like how she's too oblivious to even realize he's calling her dumb. i kinda wanna see him be self destructive and dump the only woman who will ever tolerate him just because she's too ditzy
she's not oblivious or ditzy, she's giving the benefit of the doubt, coz surely no body is this sincerely insufferable. patience is not equal to a lack of awareness
@@hedgehoginasunhat okay but creatively it would be funny if there was a polar opposite to average redditor who was a ditzy blonde and he hates her but she thinks he's funny and they would be in a sitcom
Refusing to acknowledge someone when they mispronounce or just don't 100% know something but you get it is one of the most annoying things I've seen out of this character lol. It does such a good job of getting on my nerves
I've seen several of your Average Redditor videos over the past few days- and a few thoughts on this one. Thank GOODNESS even when I'm on reddit I rarely run into these kinds of people (typically men but not necessarily from what I've seen). It's funny, there's subreddits like r/iamverysmart dedicated to mocking these kinds of know-it-alls and yet so many redditors are just as much of know-it-alls as the ones that are made fun of on that particular subreddit. Side-note, The usual problem I've personally seen from redditors is their need on relationship-related subreddits to constantly deem a relationship too far gone and needs to be either dumped OR go no-contact in case of family simply because of what little they read in the post. Did your partner inconvinece you? Dump him. Did your family member accidentally hurt your feelings- time to go no-contact and completely burn that bridge. Back to the skit, As a fan of Barbie since young childhood who always found her intelligent and brave- especially in older Barbie movies, I wanted to scream at his assessment of her. Clearly you can't like pink and fashion and still be intelligent- clearly he doesn't have a high view of women at all if he's willing to talk to his own partner this way. As for The Slappable Jerk's always superb acting, i love the condescending and self-righteous smirk he gives whenever he makes his snide remarks or know-it-all comments and corrections. Gives off the vibe he genuinely thinks himself to be truly smarter than literally everyone else on this Earth. The idea that he has a girlfriend who's genuinely so humble and patient that she puts up with his comments and his outright mocking her makes me wonder if she has low self-worth. Poor thing, i hope in a future skit she dumps him. Please The Slappable Jerk, I need this
it shouldnt be, as long as you dont do it in the smug, time-wasting way the redditor here has "open-heimer" "its oppenheimer" simple exchange, and if someone is bothered by this theyre frail
Reminds me of a kid I knew in like 6th grade who was always correct and always a know it all. I couldn’t say anything stupid, silly, jokey without some sort of “well ACKTUALLY” moment. This video awakened memories of that kid.
Yes, you're right, we're seeing the movie "Oppenheimer," which is set during World War II. And yes, Robert Oppenheimer is known for his work on the atomic bomb, although he didn't invent nuclear fission. As for your concern about understanding the film, I'm quite capable of comprehending it. And for Barbie, it's interesting to discuss the societal impact of such iconic figures, isn't it? But for today, let's stick to our plan and enjoy the freaking movie.
When I was a server my manager was exactly this man. Even looks exactly like him. We worked in a super fancy restaurant so he was classy to all the guests then would walk back into the employee room talking like this. Made for the most interesting shifts
Jokes on him, Barbie dolls are NOT made of Polypropylene, but rather of a mixture of plastics, the majority being PVC, or Polyvinyl Chloride. Maybe he should stick to atoms, CLEARLY polymers are not his area of expertise
I have seen this character go through arcs where you start to slowly understand him and then you see him destroy the chances he gets. This adds so many layers of pain bro 😭
What's funny about his barbie dig is there are a lot of people seeing both back to back. I heard some theaters are selling them as a double feature. I'd love to see both!
I love how the redditor pronounces the name "properly" yet still does it with an american accent instead of prouncing with a german one like it should be
@@tonyisnotdeadBecause it's a German surname. The way he pronounced it is the 'correct' English pronunciation, but the original German pronunciation is a bit different. I'm not quite sure how to explain it...a bit more "open", I guess? The consonants don't quite come to a hard close like we typically pronounce them in English. I'm not sure saying he should have spoken it in a German accent was the best way to describe it, though.
