Um... you know he’s Japanese and lives in Japan right? As someone who lived in Japan for six years I can definitely say that fried food (and Italian inspired food) is extremely prevalent in Japan. Unfortunately all people know about Japan tho is sushi and anime. It’s really not that “American”
