Roy's our Boy is here! Roy is widely considered one of the worst lords in the series because of his lackluster stats in his home game. However, in this series, because we take stuff from Engage and he just so happens to have a very good Ring in it, he turns out very nice. The main thing that he gets from it is Hold Out which is so so good in Engage. Because I don't have the knowledge or ability to code something in that works just like Hold Out does, he just had to settle with Miracle ("Settle" I say as he boasts 71 Lck :P). He also gets some help with his levels from Rise Above giving him an extra 5 levels to work with which helps out with his low stats. He also has a special attack similar to Alm's Scendscale that he had in his video. It's basically a regular Binding Blade attack that cannot be countered, cannot followup, and in addition to the already effectiveness against Dragons, it deals effective damage to Beasts as well since it's pretty much a big fire blast. He mostly uses this to start a fight if he is faster and does significant damage, or to end a fight against high evasion units. Getting to his stats, a decent chunk of them are just average; the outliers being his HP, Spd, and Lck which just so happen to be very important for his build! His high HP makes up for his paltry Defenses and with the addition of Binding Blade's +5 Def/Res, he doesn't seem that frail anymore does he? His above average Spd gives him plenty of opportunities to initiate and because he has access to Blazing Lion, he can get some free damage right off the bat without having to fight up close. And as mentioned before, his 71 Lck gives him plenty of chances to proc Hold Out (Miracle), which increases his survivability immensely.

The unit with the higher base speed will initiate first. (If unit has Shade or Stillness they will always choose who goes first). If both units have the same speed, the unit whose video it is will go first.
For weapons, the unit who is faster chooses the weapon they want the unit they are attacking gets to choose a weapon to counter them with. The unit who attacks first, goes through all the possible weapon combinations and picks whatever situation would give them the best chance at victory. After the initial turn, the only time a unit can change their weapon is on their turn.

This was very impressive; Dragon eff from Binding Blade/Blazing Lion helped in a ton of what would be dangerous match ups, Miracle procs helped where it counted and had enough HP and Renewal to take hard hits with those average defenses. Simulates FE6 pretty well in that regard.

Engage and heroes really saved our boi from being bottom tier While his defences are low, even with the Binding blade they aren’t great, every other stat of his is solid at worst. Massive hp along with miracle and renewal means he can survive alot of punishment. He has solid Str and workable Mag, hes got a great speed stat, and his luck lets him contend with micaiah as the best miracle unit All that along with one of the best weapons in the franchise, The Binding Blade, which is up there with the genealogy weapons. On tip of getting to use blazing lion for free damage (side note, cool to see him us it as a opener as opposed to alm who used scendscale as a finisher) Yeah, was dope to see him get his W

A good showing from our boy. Although him getting hit by questionably low hit rates along with the mastery proc seems in character for him 😂. Did you by any chance edit the sound effect on the binding blade range attack?

Yep! Anytime that he used Binding Blade from range or if he used Blazing Lion, I added one of RD's sound effects to make it sound more like a fire attack.
