If you’ve been following for a while, you know that coastal tented weddings are our favorite. We love to adventure near & far to document weekend celebrations for our couples. However, there is something so special (& convenient) about being able to work in your own town! Avery & Jeff shared a wedding weekend in Prouts Neck in Scarborough, Maine with their family and friends from all over the country and we were reminded again of the beauty of where we live.
The bride’s family has a home on Prouts, a place the couple spent much time together during covid quarantine so it was really special to share this piece of their heart with their guests. They kicked off their weekend with a rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Prouts Neck Yacht Club and their wedding day was celebrated at Prouts Neck Country Club.
Although the rain came and altered their ceremony location, the Plan B was brought to life by Pinch Me Planning, Yellow Twist Floral Design, and Griffin Griffin Lighting. Avery & Jeff embraced the rain and truly were so relaxed and laid back all day soaking up the celebration. From readings in their ceremony to Avery’s Dad sharing stories about her dancing in the rain as a little kid, it’s almost like the rain was meant to be.
After a beautiful interfaith ceremony the couple danced the night away to an outstanding New York City band Star Light Music and they shared a night with their guests they will never forget.
