Avi will discuss the basics of creating a PWS with Rails and integrating some of the unique JS features such as Service Workers and Background Sync / Caching.

Speaker Bio
Avi Flombaum is an engineer, educator, and entrepreneur that has been building digital products for over 20 years with experience in startups, education, technical training, and developer ecosystems.
Around 2010 he started teaching people how to code, mentoring them, and connecting them with jobs and that snowballed into founding Flatiron School as the Dean and Chief Product Officer. Just about 10 years later, Flatiron School has helped over 10,000 people transition their career into code. In October 2021, Avi joined Revature as the Chief Product Officer where he works on training platform, strategy, and pedagogy.
