Have a very old 'Tillia' (before it was 'foodsaver') vac unit that I can do a double item per factory bag trick with. You put like a pound of rice into a vac bag, settle it out, then roll up the remainder of the bag and put it into the 'drip tray' / vac chamber, close the lid, vac and seal. Now you have space for another pound of rice in the space left in the bag, then vac and seal that section. You have doubled your use of the bag. I'm wondering if this unit has a drip tray / vac chamber big enough to do this trick?
Depending on the size of the bags you are using, you should be able to accomplish the same thing. There are a few tricks to this but shouldn't be a problem. Cheers!

I need at least 12.5" length. That's why I'm watching this. I've been trying to choose a brand. Weston has poor customer service, based on comments in reviews on RU-vid. I'll probably choose Avid Armor.
