Maria Amposta I don't know to be honest. :( We've never had to use an alternative for it. Sorry we couldn't help, but if we ever come across anything we'll be sure to get back to you.

Maria Amposta If you wanted to keep it vegan I've seen a few recipes that have used firm silken tofu as a base for a mousse. It's a flavourless, creamy base and I'm pretty sure the coconut oil in this recipe is added to help it set up a bit anyway. In theory I think you could swap it out weight for weight for the avocado. Just make sure you get the silken sort, and the firm variety of tofu so it holds its shape. Most supermarkets where I am stock it, but Asian supermarkets should definitely have it :)
