Mr. Morgan, best time for me to watch your channel is Sunday Morning, my wife and kids are still sleeping and the house is quiet... I make my favorite cup of coffee and head to the office play the latest video. I can't afford most of the watches showcased ( mortgage and kids its Casio, Seiko and Tissot-- saving for a Hamilton in the next few months) I appreciate your story telling skill- Sir, you are a wordsmith. Thanks for putting out such great content.

Well done, sir! I can relate to many of these. In my case I'm a physician and always wear a watch to the office... I also ALWAYS pull up a glove all the way up over the watch. And, I feel I can say this here, have an eyeglass cloth in my pocket to wipe off the crystal between rooms... And at least 50 other times during the day... And well, you get the idea I'm sure. This just adds one more tiny ritual to my surgeon's OCD. Have a great Sunday!

Best Clip in a while! I would add the sickness of those buying a watch on the bracelet. Then swap it for a strap: all in the name of “in case I ever sell it,” BUT, if/when you do, the bracelet looks brand new and just doesn’t match the watch. The point is: Enjoy it.

Regarding the crystal wipe tic, I have the same thing with my cellphone screen. Always carry a microfiber cloth somewhere on me, buffing that screen to perfection at least 20 times per day. I did the same thing with my fancy new Ray-Bans, until I dropped them while randomly taking them off to buff them. Of course I do a quick watch rub when I have the cloth out anyways, like I'm expecting a blue genie to pop out of my arm.

You hit so many of these quirks square on the head. The setting the time, the jacket check, the toothbrush hack, the casual glance [self-directed or at another fellow's], the sussing out your surroundings based on what's on our wrist-- guilty of all these. Here's a tip related to the jacket check: don't buy a jacket that uses magnets to close pockets or, heaven forbid, the cuffs. It will wreak havoc with mechanical and quartz movements.

I take my watch off, to shower but I wash daily it too. I don't want my daily watch to end up disgusting. And I can't relate most of these, but I do spin the bezel on my dive watches for no reason too, I do tend to notice new scratches, and curiously look at what watches people are wearing. When it comes to smart watches my tick is to go to the heart rate graph over the day and look at it for no reason at all. It's a graph, it needs to be looked at.

I bought a watch from a newish company out of Korea which started behaving wildly out of spec after just 3 weeks. They're insisting I send it back at my own cost and are saying that I'll be charged for the repair if I caused the damage. I don't play sports and I never showered with it. Is this how other brands operate? What's my recourse here? We have consumer protection here but I don't think suing a Korean company in small claims court over a 1500$ watch would make sense. I had to order it through Paypal. Does anyone know whether I have any protection there?
@MCMTL

Do I send the watch back at my cost as they're asking? Once it's in their possession, they can make up anything about why the watch malfunctioned. Moral of the story: don't buy a watch direct from the manufacturer no matter how enthusiastic RU-vidrs are about it.

All jokes aside though, I very much enjoy that you have made this channel and put up such great videos - the awesome writing, the voice and delivery, stunning visuals & closeups and THE PUNS I’m always here for 😂 I also very much enjoyed this video seeing myself in some of those little things we do with our precious little machines on our wrists however the title „Avoid My Watch Collecting Mistakes (Or Face Regret)” as well as the thumbnail seem to be really off. I clicked on it because it was a video from your channel and I wasn’t looking for any particular content just a little pleasure to unwind to during the commute but having now watched it entirely I don’t get how this title and thumbnail would be the right ones. I couldn’t even justify it as clickbait for algorithm at this point since they have no correlation with the actual video whatsoever so I guess it’s a (bit elaborate) heads up? 😅 Anyways, have a great one and please keep doing what you do, we’re here for it!⌚️
