Avoid The Counterfeit Relationship // A message to single people! 

I was once in a counterfeit relationship. I was 100% certain I would marry this person. At this point in time I put my relationship with this person before my relationship with God. I put my feelings and dreams with this person first. I leaned on my own understanding. It was the Biggest mistake of my life. It brought a lot of pain and destruction into my life. But the Lord made a way out for me. He rescued me and healed my shattered heart. And today I am single and beyond content with waiting for my perfect person!! Thank You Lord for your grace!!!❤️❤️❤️

Emotional purity should be a thing too. We often forget about this ❤

I wish I heard this in my 20’s. Married 16 years wife left with another man. But the Lord had been faithful and is healing my heart and soul.

once i ended my unequally yoked relationship God showed me a vision of a new door being open… i felt within my heart and on my mind Him saying, now you can focus on me. putting God first is important and remember that

I had never heard of the terminology with regards to relationships before until one day God loudly dropped the word 'counterfeit' in my spirit as I prayed over a relationship I was in. Probably the next day or so, I got onto RU-vid and I found a video titled 'How I almost married the counterfeit', confirming to me what I had just heard. I had asked God to show me who this person really was, then i quickly saw that the fruit weren't in line with who they said they were. The relationship looked like 'it' in the beginning but was shortly accompanied by a lack of peace. That experience taught me quite a lot. Thankful for God's mercy. Thanks for the great video

For me it was not painful to get out of what is called "counterfeit relationships". The moment I realized that I was acting against the will of God I was like nah that's it and the LORD has helped me to move on instantly. Same thing happened to me when I quitted smoking overnight, the LORD again helped me. What I learned from this and it is something that I think many people don't understand, it depends on our willingness to follow God

Let’s also be cautious people of the enemy’s deceptive ways of bringing someone in your life the seems to be God sent, but then turns out to be a really bad person. And then send you someone again that is seemingly a lot better than the previous person, only to be worse when they have captured your heart. I hope this makes sense.

Thank you for mentioning the story and adding the link below. 😪in 2018 a friend who is not in my life anymore but I was very close at that time has sent me the podcast as we were praying and believing for our husbands. It did mark me because it was the season when I truly believed God has a custom made for me but I have never heard stories like this and as I grew older and people kept saying my standards are too high I started to believe that my life story will end up in either "settle for a counterfeit" or staying unmarried. Years later, as I became weary in my waiting, God started to remind me of this very testimony and for the life of me ,I was not able to find it ANYWHERE. I could not remember the name of the person nor ANYTHING at ALL in connection to anything that would help me find this podcast again. I stopped watching you tube related to any love stories for various reasons, however, you kept appearing in "recommended for you" and I kept ignoring it and rolled my eyes. Then, out of the blue, last night I felt led to finally watch one of your videos and I was shocked at how full of the Spirit you and your husband are ( the world is aching for real followers of Jesus) . Now I was watching this specific video and I genuinely burst into tears realising you are talking about the story I was looking for. I cannot even fully explain . Thank you for letting yourself being used by God and pouring out to others.

7:00 I agree with this point and so many points in this video. I met someone who was "spiritual not religious" when I was committed to being on fire for the Lord and let's just say its a red flag I will never ignore again.

God gave me a similar vision but instead of a customized piece on the antique chop. He had this special gift on the back that wasn’t even on display. Telling me that it was a special gift and that when I get it. I would have to make the commitment to take care of that seed/gift, protect it, be responsible about it and value it. Know it’s importance and prioritize it’s growth. Follow his instructions on how it should be done, be patient and obedient. Let him work on it and make sure that nothing intoxicates it. Because it is his blessing, special gift and perfect plan🙏🏻

Sarah may God continue using you I’m truly healing through your teachings, in 2020 I was involved with a counterfeit I thought he was a man of god, but he changed my life for the worst, but I’m glad that God took me out from that relationship, I am free now and still healing God is faithful and I am more wiser, as I wait the God destined relationship ❤️

Just wanted to thank you for this video. I was just speaking to my friend about how I could have discerned better with my last relationship. Hi sister, for me Father did an overlap where he took me out of a cointerfeit unequally yoked marriage and connected me to my KS at the tail end of my trial (on 26 June 2020!). He broke my soultie and connected my.soul to my man in an incredibly strong way over 3 days when we were cut off from each other while Holy spirit did a work in us, opened my spiritual eyes to him, and confirmed each other separately..

I met my ex and started dating him around the same time you and your husband met and started dating, which is crazy lol. I mean, him and I were friends in high school but we didn't actually start dating until two years after we graduated. He's two years into the military, and I'm two years into my college career. Anyway, thank you for this message because when Ashton (that's his name) came into my life, long story short, I genuinely thought and believed that he was sent from the Lord. He felt the same way, and we actually talked about marriage sometime this past May.. you know I met his family and it's crazy because his grandparents actually live in my neighborhood (who knew?). And then it was around mid June where we got into one disagreement, and he broke up with me. I remember feeling God's grace the moment Ashton broke up with me, but I was also distraught.. and confused. I was asking the Lord, "Isn't Ashton the one you sent to me? Why did You do this to me, Lord?" You know I was kinda fighting with the Lord as to why He let this happen. It's been four months since we've broken up, and I'm just now coming to the conclusion that he just wasn't the one. The reason it was so hard for me to let go is because he's touched my heart in so many ways I can't explain. It was the little things he's done.. like putting my written letters to him in his bible box, setting his iphone wallpaper of the cross on his first screen-- and then my picture in his second wallpaper.. you know, those little things. I couldn't let go of the moment in time where I felt that Ashton was going to be the one I'd marry one day. That feeling kinda stuck with me throughout since then. But everything you said in this video has opened my eyes a little bit.. our relationship wasn't Godly centered, even though him and I wanted a Godly relationship.. and it was all lust and disregard. And it's true.. every time I looked at that man.. it was all lust.. Even though these red flags presented itself, I wanted to work it out with him. The mistakes that I made, and the mistakes that he made.. it was hard to talk about them especially being at long distance. It was hard tending to him when I can't do it face-to-face. We gave each other a million reasons to end it, and that's why we're not together anymore. Despite that, he was always good to me. Not once has he ever tried to start an argument with me. He was patient, and did his best in understanding me. I had a mental breakdown one day and he called his mom cuz he couldn't be there for me since he's all the way at Camp Leguene (his duty station), telling her that he's worried and he begged her to do something about it. Even got his Staff Sergeant involved, and a couple of Marines in his platoon.. they were worried about me. That was one of the many things he's done for me to show that he cared about me. And it confused me as to how he can leave me so fast, you know? So for a while, I kind of turned away from God. I was at a place where I just didn't understand why God did this, and I was angry at him.. I admit. I was angry. Confused. Distraught. I turned away from my dream of getting married one day, even though God promised me marriage when I was 18 years old (3 years ago).. that's how I came across your channel by the way. I clicked on your video, and when you mentioned God's promise, I was immediately captivated because I've been writing a lot of songs and poetries about God's promise to me since I was 18. I've never heard anyone in my entire life mentioned God's promise before. It was mindblowing to me, and that's when I knew God had me come across you and Adam.. it was for a reason. And both of you have not once failed to provide wisdom in my life, and I am honestly so grateful for you. Thank you so much🌹 Anyway, yes.. I turned away from my dream for a while.. and I'm still kind of closed from that dream to be honest.. there are days where I tell myself I'm better off alone, and there are days where I'd find myself looking at wedding dresses on Pinterest lol. It's weird. A lot of guys on campus has asked me for my phone number and for my instagram.. but I wasn't interested in any of them because even though I don't believe in love right now, I do believe that God has my husband reserved for me.. does that make any sense? My family actually encouraged me to go on Bumble and Tinder, and while I tried it for only three days-- I deleted them because it just felt wrong in so many ways. That's not how God wants me to live my life.. and that's not how I want to go about healing from Ashton either, and that's certainly not how I want my husband to come into my life.. you know? I truly believe that God has someone in store for me, I just really don't know or even believe it just yet to be honest. But I know everything works to the greater good to those that love God. And I'm trying my best every single day to live according to God's will. I'm not necessarily waiting for my husband anymore to be honest because I think I've settled with the fact that I'm better off alone (for many personal reasons having to do with my mental health), but at the same time, I do believe God is always good. He knows what's better for me than I do. So. Yes. :) I've struggled with my mental health for a long time too, and I think that's part of the reason God said "No" about Ashton. I have to do my own healing before I can love a man wholeheartedly. I still love Ashton, and I always will. He was my one and only, my first ever "true" love. But I wish him the best, and I pray he makes the right decisions.. and that he's smart in his pursuit towards happiness and success in his life. Anyway, enough of my rant. Thank you so much for you and Adam's wisdom. It genuinely means a lot. 🌹
