I fell into this trap, but mainly focusing on topics such as Hollywood, the music industry, Freemasonry, the elites, the New World Order, etc. It didn't bring me any closer to God or help me understand His nature, character or His will. Instead, it made me distracted and almost addicted to this type of content. Thankfully, thanks to the Lord, I felt convicted at one point and realized my time was being wasted. It wasn't fruitful at all, but rather led me into spiritual laziness. Thank you for the excellent preaching!
The problem is that they are being zealous with focusing on the demonic stuff more than speaking the Word of God. Yes, we need to know the agents of Satan and his agents who are casting wickedness on the unsaved people. They need to spend 10% on the uncovering the cults and 90% more on the Word of God as well as how to know the to pray in order to protect ourselves from the schemes of the enemy. Spend more time on drawing nearer to the Word of God and talk about how to include him in every aspect of our life. Those channels I believe are demonic and watching the ones showing demonic images is giving a gateway into your home.

Yeah, Christian channels should not have gossip since gossiping is wrong. Gossiping is where you lie about people doing bad things. For example, if you falsely accused a biblically sound preacher of preaching a works-based salvation then that’s gossip since the claims are not true. On the other hand, if you expose an NIFB heretic for preaching the damnable heresy of easy believism then that is not gossip since those claims are true. Gossiping is a sin that always involves lying. Likewise, it is impossible to gossip without lying since gossip is a violation of the 9th commandment.
I agree with everything you've said here. Personally, I have never bothered to watch those types of channels because they don't have much to offer about the Word of God.
Well said brother Matt! Some of the false teachers you briefly mentioned are some that I have listened to over the years. They also have some good teaching as well. By knowing the Word of God and the Holy Spirit we can separate the good from the not so good. There is not likely any teachers who get it all right, all the time. I so appreciate this message Matt. I’ve just unsubscribed from several channels that once seemed to be full of the Word. But no more!!! All they talk about is the horrible things we’re facing, but only mention Jesus at the end. They put so much fear in me, that I’ve had to cut them off. My only hope is in Christ alone.✝️✝️✝️🛐🛐🛐

Absolutely true. The more people consume that kind of content, the more they only see what's wrong with everything. I know from experience. Eventually all a person will notice everywhere they look, is just negativity, and that will consume you.

If you are a new believer, I would advice you like this, first start reading the Bible daily. Just read starting at Genesis book by book all the way to Revelation asking Jesus to give you understanding. Secondly, please be careful about RU-vid, for example you were glad that you watch the ones he mentioned. Mike Winger is teaching many doctrines contrary to true biblical intent. Please let Jesus be your main Pastor. Jesus will never land you into a ditch.

I agree 💯 When I was watching a certain deliverance channel too often it actually brought darkness into my life, they focused more on the demonology than the answer (Jesus). I remember once praying to God about fear of demons and he answered me as I was falling asleep I heard a whisper say “Don’t stop focusing on the love of God” What you focus on, becomes lively. Just saying.

But, it must be the truth and praise the Lord not humans. When you started talking about discernment and discernment ministry I was thinking 'oh boy but there's just this 1 channel I listen to and like that's of this genre and that's Revealing Truth.' So imagine my pleasant surprised when you listed Sean's channel. Early on, I would always pray for discernment and wisdom.. I was in the middle of wolves like Daniel Adams, Kathryn Krick, Brother Hyeok, hungry gen.. all the deliverance ministries (because youtube pushes these channels) and they made spiritual discernment out to be like seeing the spiritual realm, seeing good and evil like they are spirits (which of course it's not), but good for me we have a merciful and all knowing Father who patiently guided me.. I asked him to show me good people.. eventually I felt like they were making Christianity seem more about demon casting and how people see them as celebrities (making merch and books with their own faces), they were nothing like Jesus I read in the bible, who's so patient and kind (personally cooked and fed his disciples breakfast after ressurection!) and God, who dutifully keeps the earth going behind the scenes, until people actually think there's no God! Then I chanced upon multiple 'christian channels' that smell fishy. After 1 good sermon by Paul washer when he said he isn't interested in the signs and miracles because these are nothing compared to the greatest miracle of Jesus raising from the dead, I finally had a baseline to what is true humility, and dropped all my pursuit for encounters with God, signs and miracles and just focused on biblical truths and that is everything God equipped all his sheep with, to be enough. So now as a general rule I stay away from anything that makes Jesus, holy spirit, God sound like an ATM, "how you can unlock spiritual gifts", "HOW TO UNLOCK ANOINTING", deliverance from x and y spirits, bethel and other mega church worship ministries, obsession about angels, the passion translation, anyone who claims to go heaven/hell/ converted from witch craft, anyone who calls themselves prophet or apostle, anyone who says "God showed me, God told me, urgent message to the body of christ, type amen if you agree, preach truth to power, claim this healing for my own, your sons and daughters will prophesy!!!!!!! etc, anyone who labels themselves as a demon slayer, or who says hell will rejoice when they die because they were tormenting demons while alive (narcissistic much?), channels that call everything in the secular world demonic holy spirit encounters, prosperity gospel, even those weird christian meditate to sleep with God videos, because meditation is thinking on God's word, but it's packaged into the Buddhist style of clear your mind by listening to a voice tell you what to do, just seems foolish because you are accepting to put yourself in a trance, susceptible to non biblical teachings, sounds exactly like what Satan would love. Yikes, this turned into a rambling comment. All in all, everything I see in Sean's channel is what I should avoid lol.

Amen, I've recently stopped watching some this stuff because it was repetitive and I felt the holy spirit was moving me away from it. I'm a firm believer in apologetics and calling out false teachers, but too much of this content makes me self righteous and I desire to always be humble before God so that I can serve him.
Thanks for addressing the elephant in the room so to speak...among reformed fundamentalist type channels. When I first started to come out of the charismatic movement I was feeding on a lot of these channels which some are borderline "revilers". I think they mean well and are important but there's a bit of a trap here. I found myself over time becoming merely a heretic Hunter and not actually feeding on the word of God to correct and sanctify my thinking, I think I was just angry at what I had come to realize as false doctrine, and I wanted to take it out on these false teachers. When it comes to RU-vid it's extremely important to balance out what you consume. I'm grateful to the Holy Spirit for pulling me away from channels that merely want to mock, play prophecy bingo etc. It can become a very self-righteous and prideful activity. We must guard our hearts.
You are exactly right. I've followed reformedwiki too, but need to unsubscribe from that channel because that's all they do is showcase all these false teachers. Thank you for being a Godly man and for not compromising the Word of God.

Same story, they r feeding the goats not the sheep. I can’t understand why so many people r blind , this life is so short, but these false teachers will be judged and spend eternity in Hell. It’s really great that you see it too! There seem to be a lot of people that feel this way, but don’t quite realise exactly why. People seem to have resonated when I’ve spoken on the topic. The theme for my channels is: short videos to encourage, inspire, challenge, and convict. Thank you Matt . I am a mature Christian and I gravitate towards those ministers who exegete in areas that give food for thought and offer some form of " theological / biblical depth." Many of the shallow kind have appalling hermeneutics anyway and I run ! Bless you for the great work you do Matt .
A lot of them can be toxic but not all of them brother Matt. Also recently I have been getting more understanding in the written word of God and I will give a testimony about how we who are born again of God's Holy Spirit is we become works in progress, during sanctification how the more we get filled with God's Spirit what happens is we become dead to sin and temptation after we get converted in the faith.
While I am subscribed to several channels that are Christian, I do not always watch what they upload. Some of the still scenes of the videos are enough to ward me away. I do believe there is a time to warn others of those who may be on the fence and can confuse some because they can say all the right things and it catches our attention. Just like Charles Spurgeon says, "Discernment is not knowing the difference between right and wrong. It is knowing the difference between right and almost right." And we can only do that if we are in the Word for ourselves. This is a good word for all believers of Jesus Christ. May we keep the main thing the main thing.
This is true! I try to listen to Godly utubers but have gotten caught up at times on listening to certain ones where it is a waste of time. But normally I listen to good solid Biblical teaching of pastors who actually just do a utube and pray for you or a short message! 🙌 I appreciate you speaking the gospel message Matt as Jesus is coming soon and we need to be prepared and let people hear the good news so they can have the opportunity to repent and become a child of God and live in eternity with Him and all believers forever 🙌👏🙌👏🙏🏼
I follow Pastor Brent Delhbom- a pastor-united Methodist Church in South Carolina. I watch His services on Sunday and when I have a question,I simply send a message to him and he will give me in “plain English” an answer that is sensible and easy to understand. I will not watch any others online! It is crazy. I need only those I feel are REAL!
I think a lot of these ministries think they are helping the body of Christ. But I noticed it’s not teaching us about our Lord Jesus. It’s not bringing attention to the Kingdom of God. I have watched a lot of them and I feel more confused afterwards. I have been praying for the Lord to show me about these ministries. God is so faithful. Ty for talking about this. We need to pray for these people. And yes like you said how many videos do we need telling us the same things about these ministries. We all need discernment. I agree with you on what you were saying. It’s not easy living a Christian life in this world. On our channel we’re just trying to show how christians can live their lives glorifying God and having enjoyments in your journey so you can bring others to Christ.
I had to learn some of these stuff because it is related to my ministry. The problem is people consuming that because of curiosity etc. My problem is people knowing about these stuff, but nwver read the whole Bible. Some of the creators of these kind of content and also "exposing " every single church are infiltrated to take people away of God. Let's always be responsible when choosing things we watch and consume.
Walter Veith, "Total Onslaught" series is the steak. The separate clip about his "coming to Christ" experience is inspiring. He came from a Catholic to an atheist to an occult new ager to at last Christianity, and his appeal is to win those people. A South African University Professor, he has traveled and puts pictures of things he is discussing, because he is/was a seeker who found Jesus.
Thank you for your obedience. It takes courage to give this message. We must be very sensitive to the Holy spirit’s guidance, the devil’s voice can be slightly off from the truth. Sometimes the teaching seems correct but the warning signs is in the “tone” of the voice/music/lightning of stages/ me, I, I feel, I think, my opinion…the focus is only on God, Jesus and the Word and the truth.
The world is lost. Millions of people don't know they are being decieved. Keep being a discernment ministry. Keep exposing truth, like we are commanded to do in ephesians. Just because it's ugly, doesn't mean we should hide from it.
Let’s pray for those channels that continue to point to false teachers instead of pointing people to God. I reckon not all of them are doing it for views, some prob think they are doing gods work and their followers continue to thank them. Loved what you said about people needing to fish themselves. My feeling is that the very nature of having an online “ministry” is almost a guaranteed path to backsliding because it slowly but surely leads the practitioner into substituting the maintenance of the “ministry” for his own fight of the Faith. Similar to modern day “pastors” who end up making the work of the Lord more important than the Lord of the Work. No one really needs to hear from you. It’s almost always an indication that you think more highly of yourself than you ought to think and have fallen into the trap of the Devil.
I’m sorry but regardless of how good your website is or how accurate your teachings are, the simple fact of the matter is that you cannot make disciples over the internet. It’s a lazy man’s way of serving and involves little to no personal costs. In fact, there’s more benefit to the ego (and therefore the flesh) than anything else. The really good teachers (like David Wells, for example) don’t have an internet presence and those who do have one, unless they also have a personal “ministry” often descend into wrong teaching or irrelevancy. Just my observation.
Brother! I've prayed earnestly, (with a sincere heart) for forgiveness of my sins. I have also begged Jesus for YEARS & YEARS, to establish a relationship with me & to come into my heart. Ive read the Bible, yet Jesus refuses to help me, or come into my heart..... Why would our Lord refuse a person who is willing to give their life to him????? Because after the many years of praying, I feel nothing in my heart.
I think one of the way those channels could help advance the kingdom of God is at the end of their videos share the true gospel of Christ Jesus🙏 And one of the way we could encourage them is to ask them in their coments to put more biblical teachings and gospel videos...🙂 I have seen Sean from revealing truth channel making effort to share the gospel more and more on his videos now, and I make a point to thank him for doing so to encourage him to continue to do so.

I am happy for people to copy and paste and use it to share if thry want to.🙏 (Maybe I previously shared it...not too sure...so just in case I didn't...): "There is something, my youtube friends that is real its that what we are living right now, politically, socially and religiously was already predicted in the Holy Scriptures of the Bible over 2000 years ago! The way I understand and see is that "they" the ones that control the world and its agenda are aware and want the people to rise up and protest. "They" are using this made up p-a-n-d-e-m-i-c/crisis to bring the world's economy down and wait to bring in forced v-a-c-c-i-n-a-t-i-o-n for all. In doing so, the people more and more are waiking up, their eyes are opening to the true corruption and evilness of this world and standing against this tyranny which I beleive in its climax will bring a revolution. "They" are going to use this revolution to say "you see....thats why we need a One World Government with one set of rules, one religion" and bring it all together...so they can rules and control the whole world, they will put a leader at the head of this OWG. The bible predicted it and call that leader "the anti-Christ". This anti christ will rule and brings a false peace at first and tribulations for a period of 7 years where many will die and be torture...than Jesus Christ will comeback on earth to reign and bring peace. Jesus came to save the world from the wraps of God by taking on Himself all the sins of the world. Jesus Christ came to pay our debts to buy our freedom before God... We are all guilty and all deserved to be punished but God, who loves us so very much send His son to suffer and die on the cross in our place. The difference between Jesus and us is that He didn't deserve it because He lives on earth without sin, He was sinless. Because Jesus loves us, because He gave Himself as a sacrifice and took the punishment for our sins when He suffered on the cross, we have now the opportunity to be reconciled with our Heavenly Father. JESUS CHRIST came, lived a sinless life, took the sins of the world upon Him, suffered, died & shed His blood on a cross for us to pay for our debt, after 3 days He cameback to life and was resurrected, lived 40 days amongst the Apostles than ascended to heaven and is now sitted at the right side of our Heavenly Father interceding for those that have choosen to repent and trust in Him, the Saviour of the world. We do not deserve His love... but God is Love, He is merciful towards us. The Hope and the Good News in the midst of this human madness...is that if we recognise that we are sinners, that we truly heartfully repent, recognising that God through His son Jesus Christ forgive us of all our sins and that we sincerely give our life to Jesus, than...something miraculous happens: we will be born again. What that means is that God will change our heart and we will be spiritually reborn, becoming a new creation in Christ Jesus, belonging to God's family and we will have access to the free gift of eternal life...when we die, our body will die but our spirit will be in the presence of our Heavenly Father. The Holy Bible also say that Jesus Christ will return on earth, after 7 years of horrific tribulations, as King reigning over the earth and us (those that have chosen Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour) with Him. This is the good news and the hope that we have in Jesus Christ! When we look at God's ten commandments, we realised that we all are in big trouble with God come judgement day. Will we go to Heaven when we die? Here is a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, used God's name in vain, or lusted after a woman or man? If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called hell. But He is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God's law, and Jesus paid their fine. This mean that God can legally dismiss their case: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever beleives in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeated death. Today , repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you. Please seriously think about what I just shared, because none of us know when we are going to die. The Holy Scriptures in the bible say: as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one; Romans 3: 10 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3: 23 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned- Romans 5: 12 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6: 23 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5: 8 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Bro, this video is almost the same as Allan Parr’s video “three Christian RU-vid channels you need to unsubscribe from NOW” - I agree though. There is a place for calling out false teachers though because so many sheep are deceived. The Bible gives us a good balance in how often it talks and warns us about false teachers or false prophets.

If you preach, like many reformed preachers do, that God chose the unsaved for damnation (they were not given the I of TULIP, irresistible grace) with no hope of salvation, this an unscriptural doctrine that needs to be called out for the nonsense it is. Jesus said to come to him, believe in him, and the offer is to anyone. Don’t agree with false doctrine.

The verse does not say that the Father raises up all that he draws. Nor does the verse say that he only draws some. Think of this example ⬇️ I invite (draw) everyone to my birthday party. Those who respond “yes” to the invitation (come to me), I welcome into the party (I raise up).

Though, the Father knows all things and prestined all things for the working of his plan and good will. He forsaw and predestined the crucifixion of his Son, Ephesians 1. Martin Luther. Martin Luther's words in this letter fellow believers are a true testimony to what is written in the Scriptures about the earth being corrupt and about the falling away. That's what will happen if one becomes lost in sin.
I’m not forgetting that. But Philippians 4:8 is equally true! There’s no problem exposing darkness, but if that’s ALL someone is focused on that, in an unbalanced manner, then it’s a problem.
@@lionoffireraw careful with that one brother. God is sovereign. While I refuse to adhere to any title regarding theology or denominations, the word of God it truth. I have heard many say over the years that they agree with all but one of the doctrines of grace. Some will have none of unconditional election. Others reject the thought of particular redemption. But these are not the real issue. These things are not the main point at which they rebel. The point at which they really rebel is the first. They reject the doctrine of total depravity! By nature they resist the clear teaching of the Bible with regards to the real condition of all men. If they believed what God says that they are, they would believe in the necessity of the other points. If man is totally depraved, that is, if sin has so permeated his whole being, polluted every aspect of his person and left him spiritually dead in trespasses and sin, then salvation can only come by the God of sovereign, omnipotent grace. God must choose him; Christ must die as a Substitute in his place and the Holy Spirit must give him life and faith and preserve him. The Bible says plainly that in Adam all died. It pictures the state of man which requires such almighty grace as being one of spiritual paralysis and death. “You will not come to me that you might have life.” The dead cannot give themselves life nor come to Him who is Life! Listen to Christ in John 6:44: “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” Again in John 6:65: “And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.” The word “can” has to do with ability. We are described by God as “lost, dead, polluted, unrighteous, blind,” and much more. But men deny this truth and give men what they call a “free will.” The truth is, our wills are bound to our fallen nature. Left to myself, I am only free to be me, a spiritually dead, God-hating sinner! God must save us, do for us what we cannot do for ourselves, save us altogether in One outside ourselves, the Lord Jesus Christ. We must BE saved, rescued, made alive and given faith in Him who is Life. The glory of God in salvation is that He has the ability to save us and He has saved a people all by Himself in Christ. That’s the only way they could be saved! No man ever knows his condition until God comes to him in sovereign grace and power and gives him life. Paul said, “I was before a blasphemer.” When did he learn that? When God brought him to life! As one made alive by God he then rejoiced in every doctrine of God’s grace! He thanked God and preached the gospel of God’s free grace wherein He chose us in Christ, redeemed us by Christ, called us effectually by the Holy Spirit and keeps us. Vodie Bauchman and Paul Washer are not primarily calling out false prophets and preachers. They have tons of great teaching and preaching videos that are their main content.
I’m not saying that they are. What I’m saying is that there are other channels out there that use footage from these preachers, and the channel that is using that footage is always focused on sensationalism and exposing error.
Wow I’ve been watching Reformedwiki and another channel that is similar honestly I think there should be these videos because we won’t know who the false preachers are I wouldn’t of known about the prosperity gospel if it wasn’t for the videos they put out. Right?
There are already more than enough videos out there exposing these people! We don’t have a shortage of them. What we need is good teaching, not more clickbait.

@@lionoffireraw I think some might be confused by your stance on this since Lion of Fire just three weeks ago put out a warning video about false teachers (including Kenneth Copeland) - I believe there is a proper balance there but let’s not get self-righteous about how important other solid teachers find it to intersperse warnings against false teachers with their other teachings. I hope you’re just saying let’s not have an entire channel devoted only to warnings and not to other solid teachings? Otherwise you’d be being hypocritical. 🤔
I know the channel you're talking about reformed Wiki he deals with current issues and I think there is some great teaching in there from Paul Washer and Voddie B and John MacArthur.... also many Christians Listen to these people and these people continue to put out blasphemous content. It all depends on the person's motive that's watching it as well but it can turn into negativity... but also maybe it's that one thumbnail that a person clicks on that it finally resonates with them that this is a wolf in sheep's clothing

The early church fathers who were taught directly by the apostles (who wrote the Bible) never believed that God chose some before birth and rejected others before birth. This doctrine was introduced into the church hundreds of years later by Augustine (who was influenced by his involvement in the gnostic cult of the Manichaean faith for 9 years). Stay away from all the Osteens. Also avoid people like Kenneth Copeland, TD Jakes, Steven Furtick, Joseph Prince, Benny Hinn. Good preachers include: David Wilkerson (I like him the best), Paul Washer is good (but he is a Calvinist - avoid Calvinism). Watch Mike Winger. And check out Living Waters - Ray Comfort. The more you fight the good fight of faith the more the testimony of the Scripture will make more and more sense to you when God continues to renew you to repentance by His Grace. I think some of these discernment ministries who take it that far to an extreme with the way they do it brother Matt, they need to read what is written in Psalms 103:10 knowing that verse speaks about God not dealing with us after our sins nor rewarding us according to our iniquities.

I don’t want to comment publicly on particular channels. But what I will say is that any channel that reflects the things I’ve mentioned in this video, and neglects the things I’ve mentioned, is problematic!
I like Greg Laurie, yeah off the curb, YOU OBVIOUSLY! But I really do try to be careful. People who are firmly biblically grounded. I have started with the local Southern Baptist Church (150 years of history) but even here I am wary trying to see if I am comfortable…I’ll see. I was baptized at age 9 in a Baptist Church but I have sampled several denominations over the years. I consider myself washed up? Young old then at 67, widowed now remarried under God that was very important I take my vows seriously. Alzheimers took my first wife away from me and our two sons now young men doing well.
