Watched this 3 times to be sure I got the concepts clear. The point about getting the hands/handle in over the toe line so the club can swing on the desired arc makes great sense. I like the drill with the ball on the toe line to emphasize the ways the handle needs to work. Another element to add to the drills I am working on.
I used the ball on toe line during pre-round warmup yesterday. I found that it really helped to straighten out the ball flight and get the handle of the club turning the corner around he left hip. @@GoodGolfCoaching
Stu, another cracking video. Your explanation of how the club moves through the path with the balls on the ground was awesome. I never thought about the path being inside to inside nor did I ever think about the middle of the path being the zero point. As soon as you said that, a light bulb went off in my head. Love how you use science to explain movements and outcomes. Makes it really clear to me as well as confirms that you know what you're talking about. Cheers.
Well, turned 52 this week and for the first time in my golfing life I’m paying attention to numbers. Unfortunately for me, I am as much as 7 degrees inside out and delivering a closed club face. These more drastic path numbers are probably a result in trying to find a bit more speed. However, I’ve struggled to keep it under 3 even when not trying to get a bit extra. The ball on the toe line couldn’t have come at a better time. Might have to wait on the two balls close together for fear of having to dodge ricochets! Another great video my friend. My best, NWH.
Firstly, a very warm and happy belated birthday my friend. Secondly, make sure you add a little loft your golf club, either weaken off the grip (dare I say it) or add some cup in the wrist to reduce the face to path value. This will change your path numbers, and it would be worth watching my “power at impact” video to help a little more too. Let me know how you go and as ever, many thanks for your support and encouragement. Best wishes Stu
@@GoodGolfCoaching I’m going to have to postpone any monitor time this weekend for two reasons. The first is two 10” dumpings of snow along with blizzard conditions making it impossible to get to the monitor. The second reason is that I may have just fallen to the ground and struck my head in reaction to the “weaken the grip” comment!🤣. Will give that a try and give the video another watch. Enjoy your weekend my friend. NWH
Messed around with this couple days ago at the range. This is how I actually hit a draw. I have different release points now for fade draw or straight shot. I also have a different release point for long irons and driver. I just love this swing. Thanks as always!
I understand about lining up the handle with the ball between my feet. But I just watched your video "How to strike a golf ball " There you say swing the handle past your left leg . Just a little confused
So I should practice lining up my hands with the ball between my feet, which would determine the vertical orientation. And if I swing the handle hard as you instructed. That should allow me to take a divot after the ball
